I'm heartbroken and furious about what happened to my 1-year-old German Shepherd, Athena, under the care of this hospital--and specifically, Dr. Cursio. Athena underwent a hip replacement here. While the surgery itself was successful, the aftermath was a nightmare. She developed a staph infection shortly after the procedure. Instead of digging deeper, Dr. Cursio continued to throw antibiotics at the issue without ever investigating the root cause. There was no sense of urgency, no proactive follow-up, and no accountability. Athena got worse. She became unable to walk, was in constant pain, and the infection eventually spread to her spine--completely deteriorating her spinal discs. I was told we might have to put her down. I had already spent nearly $20,000 at this clinic with no resolution--just more prescriptions and vague advice. To make matters worse, there was a lapse in her antibiotics due to their failure to follow up, which allowed the infection to advance even further. Had I not had the ability to pivot and seek care elsewhere, or the funds to do so, Athena would be dead. Thankfully, I got her to Ross Animal Hospital, where she received stem cell therapy, rehab, and compassionate, competent care. They saved her life. This hospital--while capable of surgery--completely failed at every other level of care. If you're considering bringing your pet here, please don't. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Athena deserved better. Every pet does.

Dog got mauled by a coyote and this clinic could not have been nicer. We came in and it was a pretty long wait. there were a lot of dogs who needed care. That didn't bother me because that's usually the case at any ER. I found the vet to be very caring and thorough. I see a lot of negative reviews about cost. There is pet insurance. Please invest in it. There's no excuse not to and it certainly doesn't warrant the bad reviews about it. I found the cost of care to be extremely reasonable but I have insurance. If you love your pet, treat them as family. Try embrace pet insurance. Will return if I have another family emergency. Thank you

She collapsed on the hardwood floor, thrashing and snapping her head from side to side for what felt like an eternity -- nearly 5 minutes. I have never in my life seen Misty like this. She looked like she couldn't even breathe on her own. I truly thought I was about to watch my dog die right in front of me. What makes this even worse is that I was never warned this could happen. The staff rushed her discharge, handed her back to me without any real education or concern, and sent us home as if nothing serious could occur. There was no sympathy, no urgency, no sense of responsibility for my dog's safety. Misty weighs 52 pounds -- in the middle of this seizure I could barely even lift her. I had to drag her limp, thrashing body just to get her onto her bed so she would stop slamming her head on the hardwood floor. No owner should ever have to go through that alone. I even have video proof of this nightmare that I will attach with my review. As her owner, what was I supposed to do in that moment? I trusted these people to keep her safe, to care for her, and instead I was left completely unprepared and traumatized. The lack of compassion and communication at this hospital is inexcusable. I will never bring Misty back here again. Pet owners deserve a hospital that takes the time to properly monitor, educate, and support us through situations like this -- not one that treats our beloved pets like just another number.

The receptionist was super friendly and I cannot say enough about the tech staff and Dr. Harwell. She spent a lot of time with us, answering lots of questions, and you could tell she really cares about the animals in her charge. I wish she practiced as a general veterinarian as I would sign up first thing. We had almost no wait and were in and out in an acceptable amount of time.

They try to tell you that all the pet products and meds you buy from anywhere else is no good and sound like a time share presentation whenever you schedule an appointment for a simple rabies shot. I came here for what I thought was a quick appointment but due to having to wait for the sales pitch to be over and my dog non-stop barking ( still young and barks a lot) while the tech was trying to explain all kinds of protection plans and extra fees, it took almost 3 hours. It seems like they could of took the dogs inside before the lecture that would save trouble and time. I don't know why we had to sit there so long. They scheduled my first appointment at the wrong location and when I showed up, they couldn't see us. They rescheduled us for the next week. When the day finally came for our appt, I went inside for what I thought was a drop off appointment, but was told that was only for earlier in the day. So I guess that's why they made me sit here waiting for almost 3 hours?! I was also a bit annoyed by them saying that my first office visit was free after I gave them the coupon from their website for a " new pet patient". Tech said I have been the before with a different pet so my coupon was no good. I stated that this was the first time that my dog has ever been there and he is a new pet and the coupon should apply. She went and checked with the supervisor and she agreed. Tech stated that she thought that it said new client instead. Seems like she gets commision from up selling the way she was trying to increase my bill again and again. I was as ready as my dog to finally get out of this place. I was thinking of getting other services here, but for the time that it took just to get a simple rabies shot for my dog, I may look somewhere else for service. It took way too long. I used to enjoy coming here and looking around, but I never expected to have to spend my entire afternoon here.

The doctor recommended a barium treatment after doing a palpitation and X-rays seeing the blockage in his stomach. The bill was paid upfront of 3800 for three nights of hospitalization. Everything went great. UNTIL I GOT HIM BACK! When I went to pick up Fitzgerald they gave me the discharge instructions in the waiting room. I never got to talk to the doctor or see Fitzgerald until the lady took my rabbit carrier back and put him in the bag. When I got him I noticed his leg in a weird position but trusted these people and figured maybe it was where the IV was or something and he would better when he was at home more comfortable. I bring my rabbit out of the carrier and he is immediately limping on his left leg. This vet is 1-2 hours away from me, a very stressful trip for a rabbit. I called the vet and sent pictures and all I was offeeed was a free exam. I was told anything beyond that would be between me and the doctor who I was never allowed to speak to. But why would I take him back to the vet who made him limp if I'm going to have to pay for his care? I DO NOT RECCOMMEND THIS VET BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON BEYOND CLOSED DOORS! They didn't take me into a room, or let me see Fitzgerald hop around or even eat (what he went in for was not eating) before they gave him to me. I never saw or spoke to the doctor after the first initial appointment. The blockage is better, but at the expense of maybe my rabbits front leg? And yet another vet bill? You can see in the picture how he is favoring his front left leg after he has hopped out of the bag.
