This restaurant completed our vacation!! The best service, best view and best food we've had in a long time. You can see how amazing the food was just by the photos I posted. We stumbled upon Surfside inn a couple years back and had the most amazing brunch. We went on Thursday 8/15 for dinner this time and we are so happy we did. Can't wait to come back next season and enjoy another meal. Highly recommend :)

This is for the restaurant. First of all, it's valet parking only and it's best to have a reservation. The restaurant itself was very cozy in that south-shore beachy way. The view was amazing as they sat us by a window seat and you had a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, framed with big white hydrangeas - stunning. The service was outstanding. Shout out to our waiter Richard who was very attentive and helpful. My boyfriend, Jim Duggan, had the rib eye steak, medium rare, and it was so delicious it literally melted in your mouth like butter. I had the lobster ravioli in a Parma rosa sauce with Parmesan, cherry tomatoes and crumbled lobster garnish. It was phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a definite go-to when you're in Montauk.

Thee best ribs ever!

My favorite restaurant in Montauk! My fiancé and I have been here twice already and we always have a blast! Came here for dinner and we ordered the crab cake and little neck clams for appetizer. For the entree, my fiancé ordered the fish of the day which was the Flounder served with saffron rice! I had the BBQ ribs which was amazing!!! Try also their slow cooked pork shank (OMG to die for). For dessert we had the mud pie which was very sinful! We will surely come back here next summer!

We stayed right before Memorial Day and loved our stay. We had looked at multiple hotels and this…read morewas our first time to the area, I'm glad we went with this one. We actually were more pleasantly surprised with the room and stay than we expected. They worked with us on a late check in, the room and bathroom were great, everything was clean, walking distance to shops and restaurants, walking across the street and you're on the beach. We did use the beach chairs and umbrella one afternoon, those did have some mold or mold stains on there and umbrella was bent..but could still use them. I think they are due for cleaning after the winter, or maybe replacement. The sister property has the pool and we spent some time on the hammock and lounge chairs. They had some shade, which was great bc it was needed for someone fair skinned in our party. We tried swimming but it was just a tad too chilly to swim yet for me. One night there wasn't enough parking but we parked on the grass across the street and were told by security that it was fine. A con I'd say is when you hang the privacy placard on the door, the housekeepers still come into your room, and leave a tip envelope.. that irritated me that they disregarded the privacy placard. But hopefully management will see this and pass on the message so that won't happen to you. Hope that gives you an idea of what to expect. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel to others :)

I have stayed in various motels along South Emerson Avenue…read more since the 2000s. This Inn is very utilitarian with small, but efficient and clean rooms at a good value. Odd house/motel directly behind my bathroom window, but the Inn has plenty of cameras and locks to allow key-only guest entrance to the room areas/porches and courtyards/pool. The pool was in the adjacent sister resort, but went there once since the beach is very close, as is the town. The staff were courteous, but don't understand other Yelp reviews raving about how great the service was. NO free upgrade or anything else, just nice people/employees- what it should be. I intend to go back- maybe in peak season.

Starting with the room, the size was good, but it could have been cleaner. I noticed some dust and dirt in the corners, and the room felt like it could use an update. The coffee machine looked older and wasn't very clean, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, and there wasn't an ice machine nearby--you have to call the front desk for ice. At night, the room wasn't very soundproof. You can hear footsteps from the room above, along with other noises, so if you're a light sleeper, it's something to keep in mind. On the weekend, the hotel was lively because of a wedding and the nightclub. There was music until around midnight, and when guests left, the noise from the cars made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. The food and drinks were very good, although they were on the expensive side. I was happy with the quality of the dining experience. Most of the staff were fine, though I noticed a few employees who seemed less welcoming. Thankfully, everyone I interacted with was polite. The overall atmosphere was the highlight of my stay. The property has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a classy crowd, and I especially loved the morning yoga classes. I spent about $5,000 for a two-night stay, so I expected a more luxurious room experience. Mine was one of the more affordable room categories, and it didn't feel especially upscale for the price. Next time, I would probably visit for the food, drinks, beach, or spa day pass instead of staying overnight. If you're looking for a lively resort with plenty of events and activities, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a very quiet hotel, you may want to consider other options.

The resort is also walkable to many cafes, restaurants, and shops. Once we got to Marram (we took a cab from the LIRR to the resort), we did not have to do any additional driving while we were there. The rooms are on the smaller side, but comfortable. The bed linens are like you are sleeping on a cloud. You can control the air conditioning to your liking. The room has very little in the way of amenities - free water, sparkling water, popcorn, hairnets, and makeup remover. No bath robe or slippers, so be sure to bring your own. The pool is very small but it does go up to 8 feet, which is nice. The cafe/restaurant on the premises is awesome. We loved all of the baked goods including the ham and cheese miso scone, the croissants, and the cookies. This area of the beach was quiet during the week. Fun place to sun bathe, watch the surfers, and really relax. While we were at Marram, I also took advantage of one of their free meditation sessions. If you're there while Raymond is doing the meditation, definitely check it out! It was a very relaxing way to kick off our stay. The walls are hilariously thin, but nothing that we weren't able to sleep through. Our room faced the courtyard and I was worried that it would be too loud at night, but it seems like they're serious about enforcing the quiet hours, which is nice. If you're looking for a chill, close to everything, walk onto the beach resort, this is the place for you!

My wife and I Just had an amazing and relaxing experience for five nights at Marram in Montauk…read more Quite possibly one of the best hotel experiences ever. If you're looking for five star accommodations, this is not it. No room service, no concierge and very little available as far as food and beverage service. This place has been remodeled into a serene, minimalist getaway with very few distractions from the outside world. No TV's in the rooms and no complimentary newspaper; both of which make this the perfect escape. Get a room with a view of the ocean and you'll enjoy the scenery and the sounds. Unplug and enjoy the quiet environment. Read a book. Don't laugh, but the soap and shampoo make you smell like vacation. Take advantage of the heated pool and beach chairs and walk into town for meals and cocktails. Everything in Montauk is only a few minutes away by car. I would suggest trying to plan your stay in the slower part of the season to avoid the influx of the Instagram influenced city folk. As I mentioned, the food and beverage were the only areas that could use some help. It's daylight by 5am but the restaurant doesn't open until 8am, so you'll have to hike into town for coffee. Or sleep late. Coffee was great though. Breakfast was also minimalist but really amazing; simple food done well. 4-5 savory selections and a great assortment of pastries. The lunch / dinner service was puzzling so we avoided it (literally a protein with sides for $45 and the menu was not published). Cocktails were on point; pricey, but you're in the Hamptons so it's expected that every cocktail is $20. It would have been cool if they had some "pool food" or "beach food." I don't do the Yelp thing often but figured I would share my thoughts for posterity. I'm on the fence about going back to Marram. On one hand, we already have our room picked out for the next visit. On the other hand I don't think I can ever recreate such an amazing and relaxing vacation. We'll see.

$400 a night during the off season and no microwave!…read more The place is very pretty but i'm not sure if it's recently refurbished and just dealing with aging infrastructure but there was wallpaper (or contact paper) peeling off in the bathroom, a leak in the balcony area roof, and almost no soundproofing. In general there are two levels, if you're in one of the lower rooms you can hear everything going on above you so if your upstairs neighbors have any kids you won't get any sleep. They also have a nice coffee machine, and a little mini fridge but no microwave, i've been in hotels that cost less than an eighth of the price that had one. I feel like leftovers from dining out are more common on vacation than anywhere else and not being able to reheat anything in the room is a little wild. On the positive side, the fitness center and indoor pool looked very well maintained, and all of the equipment was working. The room itself was very nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The tv also had a decent assortment of channels and there was google cast available in case you want to stream your own stuff. The layout of the buildings in general was done nicely and no matter where you parked you could get indoors quickly since there were multiple entryways. Overall the stay was okay but I think the cost overshadows every positive and negative, making any issues more unforgiving.

The room was a little small but not by much, it was a very nice room. The linens were clean, overall the whole room was clean and I loved the nautical decor. The bathroom was nice, 1 sink and a nice walk in shower that I really liked. We really enjoyed the courtyard area outside because it had Adirondack chairs surrounded by little fire pits that they lit up at night.
