But the reason I'm writing this review in 2019 is to attest that her advice has stood the test of time. By adhering to the good habits she taught me, I've found it easy to keep my weight low & my fitness high. And as she claims, there is no sense of deprivation or being on a permanent diet. It would sound like an overblown cliché for an Angeleno to say that a nutritionist's advice was "life-changing". But I can't think of a more appropriate word -- and going in, I was a skeptic. Better eating habits and fitness have improved every part of my life: I sleep better. I'm more productive at work. I'm nicer to children and animals. And I still get to eat nachos and beer.

She immediately shut me down after I used the words "I'm trying to improve my diet." Because she doesn't approve of diet culture. And neither do I, I just didn't know the proper terminology. She has a very aggressive demeanor, and does not specialize in any of the areas listed on her site. Eating disorders specifically and weight loss, she sent me a referral for someone else. Sorry, but false advertising, and super rude human! Would avoid her services, if this happened within 30 seconds of meeting with her.

She helped guide me to hope and light when I was struggling through a long, dark time I wasn't sure I'd ever fully recover from. That was almost 10 years ago, and I still remember, appreciate and employ knowledge I gained from my visits with her to present day. I worked with Stacey for quite a while when I was going through a very hard time with a serious illness for which I had just spent several weeks in the hospital. I was living in the LA area, looking for someone who had a background in medical nutrition. I was searching for a dietician with experience treating my specific medical problems, and could help me get back to health through diet, lifestyle choices and supplementation. When I found her in my search, I really appreciated the chance to chat with her prior to scheduling a visit to make sure it seemed like a good fit. I immediately felt comfortable with her through the phone call alone. Currently, I'm out of the LA area, and so happy to see she does consults in person, or via phone/Skype now bc I will definitely seek out her help in the future. If you're on the fence, don't be! The prices are reasonable, and her expertise, care and compassion are exceptional.

Stacey is remarkably helpful, a great listener, honest, and most of all, incredibly caring. You aren't seeing just another nutritionist who chats about "forbidden" foods and sends you on your way with an unrealistic meal plan. Stacey takes the time to understand your current eating habits and patterns, and identifies what modifications will help you reach your goals and live a healthy life. I've lost significant weight since I began seeing Stacey (am still under her care), and cannot thank her enough. She continues to teach me me how to reconnect with my body and identify true satiation--and for that I'm so grateful. I've never felt happier, more empowered, and motivated in my whole life.
