If you're looking for a patient caring boot fitter go someplace else. I am not sure all sure foot stores are the same but the one at the Canyons is downright rude to customers. They will try to sell you their own boot regardless of whether it's right for your foot. If you come in knowing specifically what you want and need they'll treat you with disdain and act as if you have no idea what you're talking about. They size you up the minute you walk in so if you don't look like you're going to be a high-ticket buyer you'll be asked to sit in the corner for an hour because 'can't you see how busy we are?!' Just before you get so frustrated and want to walk out, a passing salesman might ask if anyone has helped you yet. Don't waste your time and energy. Call to ahead to purchase boot heaters told them my sons feet were cold. Arrive later to find they didn't charge them. Paid 272.00 for hotronix . After I paid manager through tin clips for free. When I asked if he wanted a customer recommendation and he said yes. I told him I recommended that if someone but he calls and says they are coming in and their kids feet are cold being a custom shop they should charge the boot heaters. He became defensive And all the sudden stated I wasn't wearing a compliant mask and I was putting his staff at risk. I was wearing a baklava. I remove that and put on a surgical mask gave him back his free stuff and he began to continue to be little me about how much stress he was under. Horrible treatment from Ted. I'm a full time ski instructor of almost 5 years. used to getting the silent treatment when they'd rather take care of tourists. I get it. Surefoot sold and installed a booster strap on my boots for 50$. Somehow tech didn't notice that the shell was completely blown out in the ankle (even though I asked specifically for them to check the buckle that had blown out). Tech stripped out the screws during install. Picked up boots. Noticed immediately they were toast and screws were stripped. Asked surefoot what they could do for me (return the strap? Swap to new boot?). Was assured they would swap strap to new boot, no mention of charge. Ok. Fair enough. Since they stripped the screws better to let them deal with drilling/grinding them out. Fast forward to now. Replaced the bad boots already. first day off with time to go in to surefoot. They are obviously slammed for MLK. Ted walks right past me twice to handle tourists. It took a tourist asking if I had been helped. Ted appears extremely annoyed. "What's going on here?" I told him the situation. I said, "you guys are pretty slammed right now right?" I was ready to offer to come back another time or handle it myself. Ted grabs my boots and starts taking them back without responding to me. I ask how long. He says, very annoyed, at least a few hours, possibly not until tomorrow morning. I have to meet clients early tomorrow morning at a different location. Not sure if I'll have time to pick them up. I say, nicely, "hey, how about I just do it myself. I'll just need a few extra anchors to replace the ones that are stripped." I was not a dick. I was extremely nice, trying to be respectful of Teds time during the busy season. Considering the experience I had with them (no notice of blown out shell, striped screws, etc) the fact that I am offering to handle their fuck up myself and get out of their hair is pretty incredible and should have been met with common courtesy at the least, instead of arrogance and attitude. Ted was extremely rude and first argued with me telling me it will take me the same amount of time to do it, insinuating that I am not capable of doing it, finally throws up his hands and says something like I'm just gonna let you have them if you won't let us handle it, we're always busy during this time blah blah blah. Absolutely unacceptable treatment. Surefoot's high end clients come straight to me for lessons. I will be sure to tell all my clients to take their business elsewhere. Surefoot survives as a successful marketing scam, nothing more. Their bootfitters don't know basics, particularly beyond their proprietary liner / footbed products (which suck). They charge exorbitant prices for worse service than what's available at 25% of the cost nearby. They scoff at boots / footbeds bought elsewhere, then in one very recent case totally botched one of my boot liner mouldings (they know what they're doing, they will tell you. No, dumbasses, you don't use 2 socks when cooking Intuitions, and you don't cook them for 20 minutes). Thanks for costing me $300. And a special F-U for trying to sell me your $600 custom liners after you ruined mine. Been there, done that years ago. They probably still suck. And you all suck for your pushy sales practices and know-it-all attitude. TLDR Save your money, go to Cole sport, christys, white pine or Jan's. read more

Surefoot came thru. I came in to the store in a flurry. I had issue with my insoles. I got feedback from my OT that I need a lift in my arch to help me with some hip issues. I did not fall but, I skied hard after a year of not skiing and I was in pain. I had all three guys in the store run to my rescue. The head even sat and explained how my feet worked in the boot. It was above average if not beyond. I called the next day to say thank you. They changed my experience in Jackson Hole. I can't say enough. read more

I was having some issues with my boots and I stopped by Surefoot, I was in and out within 10 minutes, and all my issues were fixed. 2 years ago, in Breckenridge, Colorado, I stopped by Surefoot as the bottoms of my feet were in incredible pain. I got talked into getting the custom feet bed. I was also told me boot was 1/2 size too big, but they didn't sell me on getting new boots, just footbeds. At first I was a bit worried that for $200-$300 or whatever I paid that it wouldn't solve the problem, but they certainly did. The guys at Breck also said I could come by whenever and get my boots worked on without charge. I didn't believe that, but ultimately, my foot pain went away entirely, and I've skiied two years without pain thanks to these foot beds. Fast forward to this trip, and I've been trying more to lean forward to save my quads, but this was at the cost of my calves which have started to burn like crazy. I can feel my heel lifting. So I decided to go to Surefoot in Park City. I asked them to put heel lifts in due to too much volume in my boot. The guy grabbed my boots, put in a 1/2" heel lift and told me to go out and a run and come back if I wanted more or less lift. Well it immediately helped. My boots now fit, my heel stays planted, my calves don't hurt. I asked the Park City guy what I owed him, thinking there is at least some nominal cost for the heel lifts, and the guy said, "We never charge our existing customers for simple boot work." I was happy. Anyways, I can't say enough about Surefoot in general. The fact that there's a store at just about every single resort in North America is worth the price alone. The Surefoot boots have made my Skiing better and more fun. Having properly fitting boots, the SureFoot system, and certainly changed my opinion about skiing. I have a very weird shaped foot and these guys are the only ones who could fit me properly. They are very attentive to repair or make any necessary adjustments. Great shop, great product.... as good as it gets for ski boots. I even put the orthotics in my snowboard boots and all my walking around shoes. Highly recommended... definitely worth the money.... and I rarely thing stuff is worth what the cost is. Bottom Line: If you want to be a better skiier, and you want boots that fit properly. Blown away by the comfort! I have been skiing for about fifteen years and after continuously looking for inexpensive boots, I decided to dig deeper into what "proper" boot-fitting really means. After constantly nagging big toe pain from my stock Nordica boots that I've had for four years, I decided to say see what the Surefoot deal was all about. When I first walked in I was greeted by a team of friendly people and I knew after shaking the boot fitters hand, that something positive was going to happen to my feet. First the man asked me about my skiing history and why I was there. As soon as he sat me down, I found out that I had been skiing a boot two sizes big for me! No wonder why my big toe kept hitting the top the boot! Interestingly enough, after I got my foot scan on this pretty high tech foot graphic machine, they asked to scan my foot again. I guess I have some pretty huge middle parts of my feet. Anyhow, the bootfitter who I believe his name was Jeffrey, called his team members over as they were all interested in the complexity of my feet. They rescanned me for a third time as I could tell they were engaged in really putting the proper effort to making sure I left the store comfortable and also at my top performance level. Once they finally got the image they wanted, they helped me pick out a boot. Based off my performance, the fitter and his team recommended the Surefoot custom 130. I still had hesitations at this point but I could tell that these guys were here to help. The team then made a custom footbed based off my intense foot scans and I couldn't wait to see how these new boots were going to feel. Once I slid the boot on with the footbed, I was surprised at how well it took to the shape of my foot. At this point, the team came over and said how do they feel. He laughed at me when I said I was surprised at how well they fit. I guess most people are surprised to commonly find they are in a boot to big. At that point, they took me over to their memory foam injection area. As I stood holding the handles while they injected my boots with foam, I was amazed at the relaxing warmth and mold that was happening to my feet. It was like getting a ski boot pedicure! I could literally feel the boots forming around my feet! I didn't even know this was part of the process! When we were done, I was more than excited to try these babies out. Off I went and skied the next day. About thirty runs later I came back to thank these guys! For the first time in my life I had skied without my feet going numb and without my toenails feeling like they were going to fall off! I also could instantly notice the quicker reaction times of my turns and more mobility and agility in my overall skiing capabilities. I honestly can not believe that after skiing for 15years, that I had never talked to a bootfitter! The best part about my experience is that they guarantee no matter where I am, as long as there is a Surefoot nearby, they will work on my boots. Thank you Surefoot for finally making my feet feel great after a day of skiing. I will be back next year to visit park city and this time my wife will be the one getting the ski boot pedicure! Ted, the "owner" of Surefoot Canyons, is crooked. Surefoot Deer Valley offered me a price on the boots since they were selling me custom inserts vs the ones that come with the boots. Ted would not honor the price guaranteed to me by Surefoot Deer Valley and when we asked for those boots to be transferred to Deer Valley (immediately upon me leaving the store where they were not sold), Ted said they were "sold." I have been a ski patroller in California for two years and baught a pair of boots that wernt right for my feet from a shop I thought knew what they were doing. I went to surefoot off of a friends recommendation and couldn't have been more impressed. They took the time to CORRECTLY measure my feet, find the exact boot I needed for comfort skiing and working on the hill, and guaranteed any adjustments that might need to be made. Ted and his staff are patient and very knowledgeable about ski boots and took the time to find the right fit for me. They took care of me like family and I will only be dealing with surefoot from now on when it comes to my ski boots. Thank you Ted! read more

The people there are really nice but all they want to do is sell you their custom footbeds. I bought a pair of boots from them and they never could get them to fit correctly. As in after skiing I had black and blue marks on my toes. (yes it hurt for days). On the fourth time in the manager made the snarky remark "you're the guy who refused the orthogonal." So I went to Cole Sports at PCMR and it turns out the boots were too loose and Surefoot's corrections made them worse. I went skiing after Cole Sports fixed them and no pain in the toes anymore. Bottom line, I have no confidence in the techs or management of Surefoot. read more

Generic Big Box Bootfitting with Poor Customer Service - No Thanks Purchased a pair of SureFoot boots at the Killington store 2 seasons ago - overall very much impressed with the boots and level of service in VT. On a trip to Park City we stopped into The Canyons shop to check in on an issue we had with the boot and boy did we encounter a different story. RUDE, ARROGANT, CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE ! Sean, one of the sales associates, flippantly laughed in our faces to his colleague as we discussed the component failure and Surefoot's unwillingness to stand behind one the products they include in their full custom boot packages. There are no excuses for rude and arrogant sales staff at specialty retail, even overlooking that incredibly disappointing aspect of our experience at Surefoot Park City, I cant believe that a company selling high dollar custom boot fitting services doesn't stand behind every component of their boots. Take your business elsewhere ! read more

First of all the most important piece of equipment are your boots. Skis can be rented demoe'd (not sure if that is a word but roll with me), but you don't want to leave home without a good set of boots. Besides, wearing someone elses boots is like wearing someone's undewear. I have been a Surefoot customer for over 5 years and they always provide 5 star service whether you are going to get your boots adjusted or buying a brand new pair of custom fit $1400 Sure Foot Brand race boots. The price you pay depends on what type of product and service you are getting. Services Foam Filled Insert Surefoot's newest technology is Foam filled Custom Inserted Boot Liner. This feature alone is approximately $400, and that does not include the shell. Custom Footbeds Every boot comes with a standard foot bed. But most likely is not aligned to properly fit your body structure. We all have different body makeup. One foot longer than the other, one foot longer etc, so it stands to reason that if you buy an off the shelf boot more than likely it will need some work for you to get a good fit. Custom Footbeds is one solution for that. Surefoot has a computerized analyzer that you stand on and will tell you exactly when you are in the perfect position for skiing in your boot (called the zero position). You stand on it and the technician does the analyzing (no charge for the analysis). From this analysis, they create a custom footbed for your you that goes into the boot liner. (How important is this??? Critical. Some people wonder why they turn better going left or right or seem to have more balance on one side. It's a good chance that it you need a footbed. Here is a test. Go out on relatively flat terrain and pick one foot up and try to go straight without turning for as long as you can. Then do the other side. See if one or both skis drift to one side or the other. If so then you have an alignment issue. Anyway the cost for this is about $175 to $200, but worth every dime. Cost of Custom Boots with all the bells and whistles (approx $1400 including foot bed) Cost of off the shelf boots with minor customization $500-800. The best thing about this place is that they give away a ton of free services. For example if you walk in and say that your boot is hurting, they may spend 30 minutes doing adjustments to your boot AND NOT CHARGE YOU A DIME! I always say how much for that? And they say ahh don't worry about it. I say are you sure. They say yea. One time I pushed it too much and said awwe common you gotta let me give you something, so the guy said ok that'll be $50 bucks. I said "ohh ahh naw that's cool! I was just playin dude!" The great thing about buying from them is that when you do buy something from them, you have virtually free maintenance for the lifetime of the product. Other great products sold there. My knees are shot and I don't even ski anymore. That being said I wouldn't go a single day without my SUREFOOT orthotics(footbeds) in my shoes. When I skied I was a better and safer skier with them in my boots. Now I'm more comfortable and stronger with the proper foundation under my worn out old wheels. These folks are pros who really care about getting you what you need. If you want to ski better, run farther or(in the case of a old man like me) out work everyone; put a pair under your feet. read more

Probably my worst experience in boots ever! I have never been fitted for a pair of boots in which I literally come off the mountain in tears MORE than once from pain of these boots. Then even have a comment made at a different Sure Foot that I was a "heavier skier" I wish I had never stepped foot into this place. They also do not allow returns, only to be refitted. I wouldn't waste your time with this company. I agree with a Andy's comments a few rows down, "RUDE ARROGANT CUSTOMER SERVICE" I would even have to add INSULTING! It took 35 years of skiing in ill-fitting boots before I finally found someone who could actually explain why I was having foot pain and could actually do something about it. Kevin worked with me for over 3 hours. Blowing out the shell of my boots, creating custom orthotics, as well as boot liners. It cost a pretty penny but I skied the following two days with almost no discomfort. My only regret is not going back to shake his hand prior to leaving for home. read more

I live at the base of Canyons Rosort and the guys in this shop have been more than willing to make any minor adjustments to my boots over the years. I average 60 days per winter and my boots are still going strong after 120 days. The initial foaming process is a bit uncomfortable, but the results are a perfect fit. I have a high arch and it's not used to being fully supported, so they took out my footbed, shaved off the bottom a bit, and now my foot is more relaxed than ever in there, and my added boot heaters allow me to ski all day long no matter the conditions! read more

These guys are great! They fit my dad with boots after the resort lost his boots a few years ago. His feet are very wide and difficult to fit, but they were very professional and willing to help every time he went in that trip and the next for small adjustments. This year, my mom finally had to buy new boots, and decided to go with them. Again, great boots and great customer service. They actually were trying to help her refit her almost 10-year-old ski boots, but she just decided to purchase new ones after she saw the padding was just shredding. Her old boots were not bought from Sure Foot, and they didn't talk her into a new pair. They were really sweet trying to help her rig her old boots to work. Then, my mom left her bag there by accident, and we got a call the next day from Ted Cobleigh that her bag was there, which included her wallet and iphone. Very nice, honest, hard-working people. Great customer service, and my mom says the boots fit like a dream. Satisfied customers all around. read more
