They cater towards a market of women who are perhaps professionals or mature-aged, as you won't find slinky mini dresses in here. The outfits have a lot of colour and suit all body shapes. You will find plenty of easy-to-wear wrap dresses and most of them supporting Australian designers. It's a lovely boutique and worth a visit if you are shopping for your mother, aunty or grandmother. I'm sure you'll find something suitable for them here.

Greeted by Annalisse (the owner), I was blown away by the array of clothing available - very different to anywhere else I had been. I was very excited to learn that Annalisse has her own range (in addition to current stock) of clothing and can't wait to see the new collection. It's lovely to see someone get out there and live their dream. A lovely atmosphere surrounds you as you enter this store and you could while away your time just looking through the racks (rare to find this in most commercial stores these days). Cool* clothes for fat girls…read more Let's expand on that slogan (which isn't their official slogan, because god forbid we actually use the word fat as a descriptive word instead of an insult). The design of some of the clothes is okay, but I'm going to issue a blanket generalisation and say it's all overpriced and poorly made (so wait for sales, 50% isn't uncommon). Their official slogan is "Be styled in sizes 14+", but they should tell the whole truth and call it "Be styled in sizes 14-22 in store and 14-24 online because we pulled XXL from our retail shelves and then put it back in the online store as a compromise when so many people got up in arms about it". Positive: CC don't use that horrid lycra fabric (essentially swimwear fabric) that some plus size brands love (I'm looking at you, Leona Edmiston Plus Size Collection). They use a lot of cotton elastane, poly/viscose elastane, bit of straight polyester - straight poly's fairly horrid but I don't mind anything with the poly viscose elastane tag. Still, the decent items of clothing can often be few and far between. Prices are always preposterous, as CC has a monopoly on the "cool clothes for fat girls" market. They make a killing on shrugs and cardigans because they also sell a lot of sleeveless dresses, and a lot of women hate their upper arms. Too many items on CC's shelves are covered in tacky, ugly sequins and beads. Others are t-shirts with horrendous "Little Miss" prints on them, or Betty Boop prints, or "vintage pin-up" prints (and for lols, the vintage girls in the prints are all slim). To end with another positive: CC usually has at least a couple of items that are on-trend with seasonal fashion, or at least not-far-behind-trend. It's nice to have the opportunity to try their clothes on in retail stores, as a lot of other decent plus-size clothing is only available from international online stores. And if you purchase something online, you can return it to any of CC's retail stores for your refund. It's just a pity that the closest retail stores to the city are here at Chermside, out to Garden City, or Mt Ommaney. I've never even been to Mt Ommaney. Where is that? The girls who work in the retail stores are always really lovely and helpful, so this review should bear no brunt on them. Yet for all the good I associate with CC, there's still more bad, and that's why my friends and I continue to refer to the brand as Sh*tty Chic. Of course, I'll still buy their clothes, because I don't really have a lot of choice at this size. *loose term. Read the rest of the review. They have three stores in Queensland (Chermside, Adelaide, and Gold Coast). Unfortunately, being shoved in a massive shopping centre, this one looses a bit of its charm. I can't help but be torn from the fantasy that this store normally creates by the screaming children, frantic Christmas shoppers and just the all to bright white light of Westfield. For a boutique store that oozes old school class and sophistication, this is not the ideal place in my opinion. Nonetheless, it still sells some amazing pieces of clothing, all very feminine, unique and beautifully crafted. Since Kitten D'Amour only create a small quantity of each design, it means that each shop stocks slightly different items. The prices are not cheap. A dress will set you back about $200-$300. But for the quality and unique look that you are getting these prices are more than fair. It just means I have to work a little harder to indulge in the stunning clothes available at this shop.

Think sparkles, frills and lots of colours. Everything you need to make you feel like a princess for a special occasion. There is certainly plenty of sparkle, the store even has a chandelier! There are a few full length gowns that are quite pretty but my favourites are the cocktail dresses. They have plenty of small sizes too which can be surprisingly hard to find at small boutique shops. Great to browse through even if you don't have an event coming up. The service is also fantastic. Last time I was there, there was a 'Back in 5 mins' sign on the door however a very nice gentleman advised me that the owner would be back shortly and proceeded to explain the current specials.

It's definitely better quality than the shopping centre chain stores, but the styles are quite similar. A lot of horrendously bright colours and not especially nice patterns, with many of the items made of that semi-satin like material that so many resort holidaying mothers seem to wear. The shop itself is nice, unfortunately it's just not for me.

The clothes here range from cute 50's silhouettes and prints (Think polka-dot, bows, pleats and peter pan collars.) and are pretty reasonably priced all things considered. (Between $40-60 ain't too shabby.) ...The ace in their deck however, has to be their range of unique, odd and very cute home wares and accessories. ( I admit that this may be one of the sole reasons for me coming here.) And while the newly expanded store size makes the shop seem a bit more bare than before, I'm sure it's not long before they manage to cook up some more amazing wares to wedge on the shelves. The sales ladies I've encountered here have been exceptionally lovely (and were more than tolerant of my aimless pursuing.) And it's location in the chermside megaplex makes for a more than convenient shopping pitstop.

There's lingerie, high end hosiery, jewellery (I spied pieces by Ericson Beamon - I'm not sure anywhere else in Brisbane stocks that), bags, and of course an achingly expensive range of Little Black Dresses. When I was there they'd just received some newbies by Valentino). They only stock European designers - although one Aussie label did make the cut (Aurelio Costarella). Needless to say, the prices are not for the faint hearted. Nor for the really young and funky. Whilst the collections are carefully chosen and there are some beautiful pieces, I can imagine it would mainly appeal to the ladies-who-lunch set and the older members of Paddington's "society" crowd. If I had endless time and funds I would have found many special pieces to buy that I would not get anywhere else in Brisbane. The staff we're knowledgeable and I felt like they really wanted to help me find the perfect fit for me. A wonderful shopping experience.
