This is a cash only place, and great value for bulk purchases. People are friendly and helpful. Check the opening hours before you go.

OMG! These are still the best strawberries in North County SD. I've been buying them for over 30…read moreyears and they never disappoint. Price is right! You can sit in your car while eating right out of you just purchased basket and watch the employees pick more. It' was funny watching the 3 pick berries on opening day. The gentleman would pick a few then eat the perfect one he'd just pick. again and again. I think he loves his job. The stand employees are the best. Always happy to see you and greet everyone with a smile and thank you for supporting us. It's a small field so get them early. I must add I do buy at Carlsbad when this place is not open. Second best even though a little higher priced.

Strawberries are in season. Bright red berries full of sweet flavor. These strawberries are sun ripened and picked from the field right behind the stand. They don't get fresher. I alternate between getting a 3 pack of #1's which are the big ones and the small ones. The small ones are a little bit sweeter. I noticed Williamson Produce was selling strawberries at Costco but like other supermarket strawberries they didn't have much flavor as I suspect they are picked before they are ripe. There is a strawberry flag and an open sign so you know when the stand is open. I usually call before coming by. Open 8-4pm most days till strawberry season is over in June. They built a fancy new stand this year. While the old stand looked like a farmer built it the new stand looks like a housing contractor did it as the roof looks like one you would see on a house. Attic fan keeping the stand cool is a nice touch. The new stand is also closer to the strawberry field.

I've visited this little vendor a few times now primarily for their chocolate covered strawberries…read more The location reminds me of a cute shack that sells organic fruits . I met the owner Robin today and he and the staff were so welcoming and kind (especially with my 8mo old puppy who came with me ). I like coming here as the drive is scenic in my opinion . You take the back roads that basically connects Escondido and RSF. It's a calming drive . Make sure you call ahead of time to confirm they have the chocolate berries that day . I believe they dip them fresh everyday . They have both dark and white chocolate berries . I really enjoy the dark chocolate berries and today they were amazing . It was a thicker coat of dark chocolate that wasn't too hard (or maybe it softened on drive home ). The dark chocolate and ripe strawberry combination is exactly what I needed this afternoon on a hot day . It's $12 for a half dozen . I also purchased three baskets of organic strawberries and one raspberry basket . I think it was $12 for the berries and $4 for the raspberry. My total was $40 which wasn't so bad for organic . My pup and I had a fun time and she loved socializing with the kind staff here .

what a treasure i found. this is a more obsure review than the produce stand. i am focusing more on…read moretheir delivery of anything food you can imagine, other items too...and the very best products. if you shopped for groceries yourself, it would not match the quality. they deliver themselves at a very reasonable cost. and you won't find a box boy here filling you list and often substituting. i don't know how paradise produce manages to do it. i wish them increased prosperity, especially for their online delivery. (it will surprise you how far they will drive to.)

Full Moon Farms is at the Solana Beach Farmer's Market occasionally. As an organic gardener…read moremyself, I have a deep appreciation for the challenge and the rewards of organic urban gardening. I lived on and tended to 3/4 acres and hardly bought any produce the entire time I was there...I composted and grew squash, oranges (fertilized with fish if you can believe it), figs, lemons, and 6 raised beds...and a ton of herbs in my greenhouse window; I highly recommend mint, scallions, cilantro, and basil for every kitchen...it's easy, economical...and nothing beats that fresh flavor and not having to go grocery shopping to prepare dinner! I also taught my cousin's kids to garden. They are big fans of my three favorite flowers to start kids on gardening: snapdragons (they love to squeeze the sides so that the mouth opens and closes), cosmos (these are drought resistant and self-seeding), and forget-me-nots (who wouldn't love a bouquet of these friendly flowers?). Additionally snapdragons do not require digging into dirt to start...they only need to be sprinkled onto dirt and two weeks of direct sunlight...how easy is that?! If you collect the snapdragon seeds you can start more seedlings...and snapdragons bloom twice a year... I could spend hours talking about organic gardening...I think I did when I met Madalaine at the Farmer's Market...it's healthy, local, and actually tastes better...go green, local, and organic San Diegans!
