I'm so ready after this! Jana is incredibly knowledgeable and was such a great guide through this nerve-inducing process, full of many twists and turns! The class is fun, engaging and informative. I looked forward to class each week. I've read a handful of books and none of them gave me as much clarity and confidence on how to navigate the birth process as Jana's class did. Can't recommend highly enough! read more

Jana is the most amazing woman I have ever met. Her classes are so informative and amazing. She knows her information and she teaches her classes with such passion and love. I would like to address the review that said Jana used a false testimonial. She is the most trustworthy, open, honest, person I know and under no circumstances would she ever do or make anyone feel or write a false testimonial. She has educated and loved hundreds of woman and I have never heard not one complain about her. She has one of the most kind hearts you can imagine. Just trust in your heart and take her class and you will see how kind she is. You will not be disappointed. I have taken her classes. I have done the birthing class and doula training. Jana only has love to give. She's a beautiful soul. Im sure the hundreds of woman will agree. Regarding the dogs she is very aware and asks everyone about the dogs. If it bothers or annoys anyone she handles it. She is not insensitive. Throughout the whole class she is on top of the dogs behavior. The bottom line is if you want to be really informed go to Jana's class because you won't be disappointed. Your birthing experience will be much better in my eyes because you will be so much more informed because of the knowledge that Jana teaches you. Trust your heart not one bad review. Love you Jana. Your the best. read more

Taking Jana's childbirth preparation class was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From the very first session, she created an environment that felt warm, safe and supportive. Her calm, reassuring presence and deep knowledge helped ease so many of my fears around birth. Jana brought a wealth of experience into the class, which made me feel informed, empowered, and much more confident about giving birth (I'm 39 weeks pregnant now and I'm confident I want to give birth with no epidural). But beyond the facts and techniques, what made the biggest impact was how she made me feel supported. She always made space for questions and concerns with compassion and wisdom. I know I can call her anytime if I have doubts or questions. This class didn't just teach me about childbirth, it helped me believe in myself in this journey! I'm so grateful for Jana's guidance and heart. I truly couldn't have asked for a better teacher. read more

Jana's class was amazing! My husband (a physician) was recommended the class by a colleague, and we are so happy to have had this preparation for the birth of our first biological child. Their class was well-organized with a wealth of information along with videos and guided practices presented each week. Pregnancy, birth, and parenthood are huge topics loaded with opinions, and Jana did her best to present all of the information objectively while also being forthcoming about areas where she is more passionate/opinionated (which I appreciated). When I finally went into labor, my husband and I were grateful to be knowledgable about the signposts of the different stages of labor, which permitted me to labor at home for quite some time before we headed into the hospital. One feature of the class I loved was being in a cohort of families in our same stage of life. We slowly got to know one another over the course of the 6 weeks, and now we have "dad" and "mom" group texts to keep each other updated on our birth journeys and parenting milestones. Very sweet and needed in a time where it's easy to become isolated in the newborn trenches! I recommend Jana's class to anyone who wants to be well-prepared for both birth and for the immediate weeks after! read more

Took the class with my wife in May 2025 - My wife wanted an unmedicated birth, so we wanted to find someone that could help us understand the whole process and build confidence about birth in general. Success! We found what we wanted and had the birth my wife dreamed of (unmedicated in a hospital). Jana was very hospitable and super knowledgeable - We enjoyed going to her place for the weekend classes - We were in a small group with 3 other couples that we got close to, had laughs and personal conversations with. She's got two small dogs which were sometimes there and sometimes not. All of the material, including some endearingly "vintage" videos were very accurate, informative and relatable - especially knowing what we know now after we've come out on the other end of the birth. She also was quite knowledgeable about the different hospitals and their procedures. read more

It's sad that I have to share this, but I've been informed that Jana MADE UP A FALSE TESTIMONIAL and put MY NAME on it. I would never had known my friend took the class except that she told me about this, "glowing review you wrote about Jana's class." SERIOUSLY?! She likes to show her groups these books with pages of people's reviews about her class and I DID NOT WRITE a testimonial for her class! I was not happy with the class, ( yet I remained cordial) and I was simply trying to get the classes over with since I had paid for it. Yikes. And this review on yelp is my actual thoughts, written by me. I do not understand the reviews on here, maybe she is offering an incentive for a 5 star review because that's the only way you'd get so many 5 stars across the board (this is a dead give away of false accuracy!) People don't give 5 stars in mass, without incentives. Also I'll say that I'm disappointed to see a response that shows first comments were not taken seriously by Jana. Yes, I do know that a negative review is hard to hear, but a true professional would look at the comments and wonder how they could improve and grow from the review. There is literally nothing in it for me to put up inaccuracies. I wholeheartedly feel that couples are looking at these reviews to get an accurate sense of the class offered. However, she tried to discount me immediately (you will see I have a wide range of reviews, many 5 stars and everything in between) and that's because I have committed myself to ONLY leave honest reviews, and never so that I can have a discount on a class or on a birthing book, etc. For first time parents, please know that there are better options out there, in much cleaner environments and with more modern education practices to be taught. While I did learn a couple things in the class, I learned much more online and in the books I read. Yet those 1980s video clips that Jana showed through the classes..they were unforgettable in a whole different way! read more

We took Jana's 6 week birth class and it was terrific. A good size with only 5 couples, we could all talk and share as we learned. Jana was a wealth of information and covered a lot in each class. The pain management exercises were also very useful. She was such a helpful resource and followed up with us even after that class. Also her adorable puppies were a highlight! read more

Taking Jana's birth class was such a grounding and empowering part of this pregnancy. Before starting, I felt much more anxiety around the unknowns, but Jana has a way of breaking everything down in a clear, approachable, and fun way. She combines her deep knowledge with warmth, which made each of the six sessions something I truly looked forward to. The class covered not just the practical steps of labor and delivery, but also how to navigate the emotional and physical experience of giving birth with confidence. We learned about pain management options, how to create a strong support system, hospital procedures, and the many ways my husband and birth team can be actively involved throughout the process--all in a way that felt manageable rather than intimidating. What I also really appreciated was how Jana fostered a genuine sense of community. It was so meaningful and fun to connect with other parents-to-be who were in the same stage, sharing questions, fears, and excitement together. I'm walking away feeling informed, supported, and so much more prepared for what's ahead. I can't recommend this class enough and my husband and I look forward to our reunion!! :) read more

From the mothers of Jana's Winter 2023 class: This review serves as both a thank you to Jana for her amazing class, as well as a recommendation to any expecting parents! Even if you already have children, I'd still recommend taking this class as the information and knowledge that Jana passes on to her students is invaluable! She works very hard to accommodate the schedules of all of the parents in each class, and the cozy and inviting atmosphere she creates really puts nervous expecting parents at ease. The class size is intentionally small to create an intimate environment, and really helps to form a bond between all of the expecting parents. By the end of the classes, we are happy to know we received all the information Jana had to offer, but were sad that we would no longer be hanging out with our new expecting friends once a week lol Jana is also very responsive via email and responded to any number of questions we had, day or night, regarding our birth plans. Regardless of the type of labor and delivery you plan to have, this class is incredibly beneficial. And though it is perhaps a little more geared towards those who would prefer a natural birth, at no time during the classes did Jana give the impression that she was judging any parents' birth plan. It's very clear that her goal is to ensure we had all the information we needed to make educated decisions and be able to advocate for ourselves in our labor and delivery environments. We all highly recommend Jana and Supported Birth, and we will all definitely be keeping in touch with her well after our babies are born. Love Ziba, Chanel, Maura, Colette, and Erika, graduates of Supported Birth, Winter 2023. read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Jana's class. We liked that the class was in person and the material was split up into 7 different sessions covering not only labor and delivery but also topics in Postpartum care, breastfeeding, changes in relationship after birth etc. Each week different topics were presented with videos, breathing exercises and interactive discussions. Jana provided us with a detailed understanding of different scenarios that could arise during labor, making us feel prepared and less anxious. Her class was small so every couple got the chance to ask questions and get answers to their specific concerns. Ultimately we felt like everything we learned was put to use when it was Go time and we are glad we had the information from Jana's class to make the best decision for our birth. read more

Jana teaches a very comprehensive class about everything you want to know as an expecting parent, regardless of the type of delivery that you choose. The wealth of information she conveys is objective & evidence based, and covers the whole process of birth with all its intricacies, what to expect at the beginning of parenthood, potential postpartum issues, mental exercises and meditations to support labor, and much more. My husband and I absolutely loved the class and the way she teaches it - she has all kinds of videos, cards, presentations, and just a plethora of materials that make this class very informative and fun at the same time. Not to mention thought provoking - we really appreciated the history lesson about birth and labor that she gave at the beginning. I don't think there's anything related to birth that Jana doesn't already know everything about! Her vast and impressive book collection sure hints to that. Something I also want to mention is how much I personally loved the bonding aspect of this class - it makes you connect with your beloved in a very special way and I will always remember the loving moments my husband and I shared at times during the class. We left feeling prepared and very confident about labor and birth, and had a successful homebirth almost two weeks ago. Thank you Jana for teaching us what to expect from this magnificent process, and for supporting us in trusting our own strengths and instincts! read more

We were referred by a close friend who also took Jana's course and spoke highly of what was learned. Coming into the class, my husband and I felt like we already knew it all because we come from big families and have raised a lot of our nieces and nephews. After the first class, we were humbled quickly. We learned a lot of things we never thought about and even unlocked new found things about one another when it comes to expectations of support and advocacy during labor and delivery. I highly recommend taking this course and coming in with an open mind and heart. Thank you, Jana! read more

My husband and I loved Jana's class. She was really informative about everything- birth, OB/midwife, hospitals, stats, calming methods, mental clarity/calmness and more. She kept classes interesting using different teaching methods- white board/visuals, video, questions, physical demos, etc. She was very supportive of an in hospital birth, and had referrals to everybody! The take home materials and videos were very informative and a helpful resource. I didn't realize how much a birth class like this would connect me closer to my partner and put us in a really great place to be parents and handle the newborn age. I would not recommend a traditional hospital birth class or zoom format after taking this class. I learned so much more, and definitely worth the cost and time investment, and doing in person was so much more beneficial. We also got to meet another fun couple and her very sweet dogs. It really was a comfortable environment in her home and felt like we expanded upon our birth community now having Jana in our life. Highly recommend and super FUN! read more

Jana's course was fun, instructive, and a very crucial part of preparing my husband and me for the birth process + parenthood ahead! We loved that it combined medical detail with mental exercises and we ultimately left much more comfortable and informed than we came. We would highly recommend learning from Jana! read more

My husband and I just welcomed our second baby to the family a few weeks ago (41+3) and we found your Supported Birth manual so helpful in refreshing/preparation! This time our doula was able to be there (May 2020 hospitals in LA weren't allowing doulas, UGH!), I labored at home for 30 hours, and arrived at the hospital at 6cm dilated and 100% effaced. From the time I arrived to the time he was born was just about 6 hours. Used the comb in hand technique, asked to use a labor tub, etc --broke out all the tricks and refreshed ourselves with labor positions from the handbooks! Had my dream unmedicated hospital birth -- no epidural but utilized nitrous oxide for the last portion when things got REAL. Turns out it's because our son was a cool 10 lbs 14 oz! The nurses and midwife and doula were blown away by how big he was and everyone said how happy they were to have witnessed an unmedicated big baby birth, with no induction or c-section! Thank you for the course that helped us feel prepared, even 2 years later! read more

My spouse and I are still so grateful for Jana and all that we learned in her class. One of greatest lessons I learned, and that contributed to a great birth experience, was trust in my body, my baby and the process . The confidence I gained from the empowering knowledge she emparted helped me to face the vulnerability of labor with strength and, also the ability to surrender. This class is very different from the typical hospital class. You will get all of the important physiological information, but also practice using different tools and techniques for labor in a private intimate setting. Additionally, you run through and discuss various scenarios/cases and have a space to express fears and feelings about birth and parenting. The course content also includes information on transitioning to parenthood and newborn care. That means it is also a bigger commitment in terms of time (~7 sessions of ~2.5-3 hours) I was committed to doing everything I could to have an unmediated hospital birth despite having a few issues that deemed me "high risk." Jana helped me to prepare for the birth I hoped for, and also for many of the other ways that things can go in such an unpredictable process. She is not attached to anyone having any particular type of birth - only that you can have the best birth experience for you. I really appreciated this. We highly recommend her class. read more

I can't recommend Supported Birth enough, especially if you are a first time parent! We considered several courses before settling on Jana's. It seemed like the most thorough, with seven in-person sessions, and it did not disappoint. Jana is extremely knowledgeable, kind and non-judgmental. She contextualizes the birth process as a natural human event that's been going on long before modern medicine took over. We got valuable insight into the importance of "setting the stage" for labor, keeping the body and mind relaxed (ideally staying home as long as possible!), methods of partner support, making good decisions at the hospital, and more. Jana also teaches about newborn care and breastfeeding, and provides a wealth of resources for putting together your care team and furthering your study on your own. We feel SO much more prepared for what's to come! read more

Every pregnant couple needs to take this course! I initially sought out classes to help my partner and I navigate our relationship through pregnancy and I came across Supported Birth. My partner and I are so happy we took the supported birth class. Jana's class was an amazing resource for my partner and I as first time parents. Jana maintained constant contact with me until there was a class available for my partner and I. Janas class consisted of seven weekly meetings at her home and included three other couples. Jana provided us with thorough information on the process of birth. The information we gained allowed us to dismiss any fears we had about labor and it allowed us to have insight on each other's experience and roles during the experience of child birth. The class also presented us with strategies to cope through a contraction. It allowed us to have a realistic perspective of labor. Jana was flexible when we couldn't attend one of the classes. She made sure we obtained the information we needed either through zoom or by lending us one of the short film disc. In addition, the birth class made our relationship stronger and it allowed my partner to become the support system I needed through labor. Personally for my partner and I Jana became one of our biggest support system. She truly made a difference in our experience. Her honesty, knowledge and accessibility allowed us to go to her with any questions or concerns we had through out our pregnancy. Unfortunately I did experience some stressors with my doctor and Jana provided my partner and I a space where we were able to vent and get any questions we had answered. We know Jana truly cares for her students as she demonstrated that to us throughout the course and even after giving birth to our baby. She was even available while she healed from a procedure. We are beyond grateful with Jana. The biggest take away from the class is that my body is made for child birth and that I have a choice in my child birth experience. Thank you to the best instructor, we appreciate you dearly. To all the soon to be parents we highly recommend the supported birth classes! read more

Jana is great, she gave me so many helpful advices. She care about her clients and she is extremely helpful. Highly recommended

We can't imagine a better teacher than Jana. She not only presents all the information you need in a clear, straightforward manner, she also does so with genuine care and compassion for you in the experience ahead. Having the information we needed not only calmed our fears about childbirth, but it also empowered us to make better choices for ourselves in the delivery room, an environment in which you're often treated like you don't have a voice. Jana was also completely understanding and supportive of everyone's different choices and lifestyles; the class consisted of such a wide variety of people, and all were treated with respect, and there was no bias or judgement towards people for different attitudes towards the birthing experience. The most amazing thing about Jana is that once you're her student, you're always her student. We took the class with her years ago, but we recently reached out to ask her a few questions; she responded immediately, gave great advice, and invited us to call and reach out if we needed anything else. It's very clear she's in this because she loves people and wants to make their transition into parenthood as perfect experience as possible. We can't recommend her highly enough. read more

When I found out I was pregnant I would ask people what was the best advice they could give me for when I went into labor. My best friend told me to to take a birth class. She said it helped her husband learn how he could best assist her during labor. Her husband made all the difference in keeping her calm, relaxed, and focused on giving birth. After knowing that I went ahead and enrolled in Jana's class. At first, I thought my husband would be bored learning about this topic, but to my surprise, he always looked forward to attending class. The group was made up of four couples, so it was all pretty intimate and Jana made the class really interactive and fun! She uses different methods of teaching-workbook/reading, youtube videos, dolls, visuals, games, and discussion. My husband and I were clueless about the labor process, but by the time we completed Jana's course, I felt comfortable that my husband was going to be a good coach. Unfortunately, I didn't go into labor naturally as I hoped for, but I can say that my experience was beautiful. I was relaxed and excited to give birth to my baby knowing we were well prepared. Thanks Jana! read more

Jana's class fully prepared me and my husband for the birth of our first baby. There's a lot to learn and Jana's classes thoroughly review the entire process. I'm so thankful for her and her class because I knew exactly what was happening when I went into labor, and knew exactly how to advocate for myself at the hospital. Jana is supportive of all different kinds of birth. I was very worried about the pain and my pain tolerance, but my birthing experience was amazing and I have Jana to thank for that. Jana Wernor made our birth goals a reality. Without the clear, concise, and comprehensive guidance of the Supported Birth class, I would not have had the tools to support my wife with confidence and courage through life's most radical journey. I was able to be my best self, for my wife, while she did the brave work of bringing our baby into the world. This isn't a method or a trending movement, this is a woman that has heard it all and seen it all and welcomes all ideas and practices to the table for discussion. She opens up her home and creates an intimate space for vulnerable group sharing and active learning exercises. If Jana is "old school" then the new school might benefit from taking a few of her classes, because what's more old school than childbirth? I feel privileged to have happened upon Supported Birth class with Jana Wernor, and you should too! read more

Signing up for this supported birthing 7 week course was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy! We were initially unsure whether the class would be as beneficial behind a screen instead of in person due to Covid, but our doubts vanished after the first class. After watching countless videos, practicing calming techniques and receiving individualized resources based on our birthing preferences, we feel empowered and ready! Thank you, Jana! read more

I'm grateful for Jana. My husband and I took a private class since this was our first pregnancy. Thanks to her, we were as prepared as we could be during our delivery. As a first time parent I entered Jana's class really feeling like I was completely in the dark. She demystified childbirth in a way that will help me be the a more supportive partner to my wife. I particularly appreciated how she contextualized modern birthing practices historically and culturally. She creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters open conversation and honest questions. And I don't think we ever brought a question that she didn't promptly get us an answer to. Definitely recommend. read more

I've taken birth classes before, and they were good, but I must say Jana's class really made me feel empowered as a woman. This was not my first pregnancy, I have two teenage daughters, but it had been a long time between and it was my husbands first, so we decided to take a birthing class. We are so glad we chose Supported Birth. Jana is not attached to any particular "method," except that birth is a natural human process that we should trust. Not only did her class quell all of my husbands anxieties around birth, it also gave me the permission to choose how I wanted my birth to go, supported by evidence based education. I finally got my dream birth!! Minimal interventions, no pain medicines or epidural, no pitocin, vaginal delivery, minimal time in hospital setting. Added bonus, Jana is just an awesome human and we love her!! read more

I cannot recommend Jana's class enough! Don't think twice and take her class. Her teaching style is a mix to accommodate all learning styles. She is accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and the environment is non-judgmental (no pressure to any particular method) and well rounded, so you can ask all the crazy questions and share your concerns about labor and delivery. I felt beyond prepared when going into labor with the knowledge of what to expect which eliminated a lot of fear, even when complications came up. So thankful I found her course and the couples in the class. read more

My husband and I participated in the birthing class and it was an amazing experience. We looked forward to it every week as it was a special time for us and it was a dedicated set time that we devoted to one another and to the group. I enjoyed the group participation, we shared intimate fears, and our hopes for whatever birthing plan we wanted to mentally prepare for. I loved how much my partner/husband and I were given the tools to relieve our fears and stress and we all certainly bonded with other expecting parents. It was a great way to build a little community before our little one was born. Thanks Jana! read more

Okay. My wife gave birth. In our tiny, one bedroom apartment. And it was amazing. I can't speak for my wife, who was doing all the pushing and sweating and birth giving, but for me, this birth experience was darn near ideal. We were in the comfort of our own home. My wife was free to move around, nothing hooked up to her, and able take her time delivering our baby boy. My wife wanted a natural birth, with no medical interventions, and honestly, that scared the crap out of me. But Jana's class took away all my concerns and helped me understand that birth is a very natural process. As she says "If you're alone in the forrest and go into labor, what are you going to do? Give birth." :) People have been doing it all over the world, without hospitals, for centuries. Because of her class, I wasn't worried about my wife or the health of our baby. I was able to be present, and be there to support my wife. After holding my new son and being in awe of the whole experience, I was even more grateful for Jana and her classes. If you are pregnant and feeling at all overwhelmed, or just wish you had a little more information take this class. And give Jana hug for me. read more

You and your husband (birth partner/coach/friend/lover/etc) will come out of this class knowing more about childbirth than you probably want to! It is very informative in a supportive, comfortable environment. Our class had 4 other couples (from all around the world) and we had a great group dynamic. My husband and I took Jana's class in addition to the class at Cedars. Some of the info was repeated in both classes, but it was important and we will never forget it! Jana's class had a more comfortable setting to ask questions, get to know other expecting parents and come up with your own birth plan. The class at the hospital had 15 other couples and it moved at such a fast pace we hardly had time to ask any questions. I'm glad we took the Supported birth class, because, at the end of the day, I was comfortable knowing my husband was prepared, I had a fairly good grasp of what to expect and I wasn't afraid. Jana is a great teacher, she knows a ton about childbirth and is great for anyone who wants to be prepared going into labor. Price was about $325 for 8 classes. read more

As a first time mom I can not express how much this class has prepared me and my partner for becoming parents. From the beginning of our search on birthing courses the choice was clear to us that Jana's class was the way to go. She offered exactly what we were looking for a natural childbirth course that encompassed everything there is to be prepared for in the birthing process when things do not go as planned. Including covering what to do in the case of not making it to the hospital in time, which in our case proved to be the most useful and important aspect of the class. On 9/22/2015 my boyfriend delivered (completely unplanned) our newborn baby at home without complications thanks to having taken Jana's class. We can not express how extremely grateful we are to have had the opportunity to learn from Jana. Other perks with her course include the small and intimate class sizes and setting; Jana - as she will go out of her way to supply resources and answer questions outside of class both pre and post birth; and lots of in-class resources and discussions that make entering into parenthood that much easier. THANK YOU JANA WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU! read more

I loved Jana & Supported Birth so much that I attended her doula training as well. I previously attended DONA training and loved it but found that the close-knit group that Jana's class provided was so important to my growth as a doula. In addition to being open and knowledgable, she challenged us to move outside of our comfort zone and really examine who we are as women so that we can better support our clients. Jana has remained an amazing resource - doulaing her doula's and providing amazing guidance. She's no-nonsense with a heart of gold. I absolutely adore her. read more

I have been training as a doula with Jana Wernor. The first step she requires of her doulas is attending the couple's childbirth preparation series. Her approach of teaching a small group in an intimate setting makes it easy for people to open up and discuss the fears, concerns and joys that are part of becoming new parents. I could not have asked for a better teacher and mentor. She has been incredibly available to me while supporting my clients. Her years of knowledge and experience have been instrumental in my success as I've started on this new path. It has been a rewarding and enriching experience. I highly recommend Supported Birth to anyone who is having a baby or would like to support women who are. read more

Jana's class was such an incredible birth class experience - one that my husband and I could not have imagined but are so grateful for. We feel truly blessed to have gained such a wealth of knowledge to help us prepare for our labor, delivery, and life with our baby boy. Everything we learned and discussed has helped us transition into this last leg of pregnancy, and allowed us to feel at peace and ready for the process! We highly recommend this course for anyone looking for an honest guide not only for what to expect in labor and delivery (and beyond), but also in reaffirming what our bodies are built for and are capable of. I believe that even if medical intervention is necessary for any reason, having the knowledge, understanding and trust of my body's natural abilities is the most comforting and invaluable armor to have for going through something so unknown and undeniably daunting. We look forward to our reunion and keeping in touch with Jana and everyone else from our session! read more

I found Jana's information on Yelp. I signed my husband and I up for the 8 week class. At first I wasn't sure if I was ready for such a long course, but I figured it would be helpful for my husband as well. We both found this class to be beneficial regarding birth, what to expect, what rights you have in the hospital, calming effects during birth, etc. I do have to say, my husband and I went into labor knowing a lot more than we would have if we had not joined Jana's class. we were educated on medication, the process and everything else that applies to birth. As I won't go into detail about our birth, it was a great experience, but getting back to the rating of Jana's courses, I would recommend her to any newly expecting parents. We did recommend her to one of our other friends who joined the 7 & 8 class. On a flip side, I do have to say some things seemed a bit repetitive with info. Also not too sure if 8 courses is necessarily needed but there's something in every class that's helpful for each individual. I could have also done without the relaxation after each class session but that can also be because there were 12 people in one living room trying to get comfortable and we also have a dog we needed to hurry home for in order to feed him on time. overall, it was very informative...be prepared for the multitude of birthing videos Jana shows you :) read more

Jana's class was invaluable in preparing for the birth of our first child. And her class goes beyond merely relaying information -- you learn important facts AND you grow comfortable and confident about the birthing process, AND you meet and become friends with other soon-to-be-parents. I can't imagine going into labor without having gone through her class first. (And I absolutely do not believe that one could get the same benefit / knowledge out of a one-day birth class. You need time to digest the information between each segment of the class!) Take the class -- you will be thankful. read more
