I would like to take this opportunity to say a personal thanks to the staff at Supervalu in Boyle County Roscommon. Last week whilst I was conducting my weekly shop I went to the cat section and was very put out to find that there was no kitty litter and none in the stockroom.As I only get to town once a week and live in a rural location where there are no shops I was not happy I simply couldn't go home to my lovely kitten with no kitty litter. It would be like a mother coming into the store and finding no nappies for her baby! well not quite that bad(big smile)
I went to the customer service desk and spoke with Gillian and explained the situation.Gillian was very polite and listened so that made me feel a little better. I then continued with my shopping. I was surprised later on to find that Gillian had sent out Jason(another helpful member of staff) to go down the town and purchase some kitty litter. I couldn't beleive it how kind was that. I bet Tesco's wouldn't do anything like that. So instead of leaving Supervalu having had a negative expeirence I left Supervalu with a postive experience. Well done to Gillian on the customer service desk who turned the situation around.
It's all word of mouth when you live in the country and I have already told several people guess what happened in Supervalu when they ran out of kitty litter.
Without exception I find all the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful.
Particulary Robert. Olivia. Gillian and a lovely lady(a foreign national) who's name escapes me, she works on the fish counter and has taught me to say thank you in her language.
I always feel it is important to say thank you if a good service has been provided.
So well done to all the staff and supervalu in Boyle, Roscommon
