In reply to the managers comments regarding my review...I was told I needed to file a police report for stolen items - but that Storage is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS! Whats the point!!! Furthermore, they have made no attempt what so ever to replace the furniture that was ruined by animal droppings & urine. Despicable! My review stands. This place is bad news! read more

Don't ever plan on dropping a U Haul traile at Super Storage on 28th street. When we arrived at 11:30 am on a Tuesday no one was at the office. They had two signs on the door. One sign said open Monday through Friday. Another sign said they were at a 24th street location and left a 800 u Haul number. We had to spend over 45 minutes calling around and we were told to drop off the trailer in San Miguel. Finally a lady showed up and took the trailer. She said they were closed because she was at another storage location. read more

Renters beware - this is a shady operation with questionable business practices and ethics. We rented this space at perhaps the most vulnerable and terrifying time in my family's life, and had hoped we would be relocating to a new home soon after. However, my mother in law's dementia continued to grow more severe, necessitating increased care, and our finances were depleted. We moved my entire home to a space in this facility, and our storage account went into arrears. As we were not allowed to make payments on the balance, the bill just continued to grow to an untenable amount. We were not receiving invoices via email, but had tried to stay in touch so we knew if and when it would be auctioned. Before that date, we tried one last plea at a reasonable settlement with move out, but were answered with another untenable financial proposal that I was unsure we would be able to honor. I was waiting for a labor dispute to settle, and had not yet received it. Our last recourse was to attend the public auction with the aim of securing our belongings, a risky endeavor that could work in or against our favor. We bid on the unit and won at a highly inflated rate $2800, $1000 over the amount due. This was an auction with no other apparent bidders, an escalated bidding rate in comparison to the others that day, and an unprecedented final amount that in no way reflected the norm in relation to the appearance of the property - the space was a mess, and the valuables were not visible. I did considerable research beforehand, and the norm in our county is $50-300, with higher ending bids occurring if the goods are visible and of high value. We were motivated though, and we outbid the final offer. We ran to the bank to get the cash, and needed a 1/2 hour to receive a transfer. We were called immediately by the auctioneer and told the space would be sold to the other bidder in 10 minutes. They accepted nothing but cash, and would not allow us the time to retrieve that large amount of money. We raced back immediately, and were then told it was sold. Everyone involved acted cagey and without any hint of remorse. If anything, they were defensive and, when pleaded with, refused to contact the buyer to help facilitate an arrangement to recoup our possessions. We have tried since then to recover the property, but have not had any joy, only increasingly suspicious answers and behavior. I looked up storage lien laws and was made aware of the responsibility of storage facilities to collect 2 addresses and email to ensure that correspondence is received. In our case, all of our mail was continually sent to an old address that I had personally changed to email in their office only 2 weeks after move in. We received one invoice and 2 personal notes regarding the account, but no lien notice of auction or final invoice. We had spoken with them throughout the tenancy to try to make installment pmts (they said no, it's all or nothing) and to ensure them that the bill would be settled as soon as a court case settled. In their defense, they did not auction for months, but without the ability to pay the balance down, it just became more untenable. I went into the office to inquire about our unit on Monday. They said it's gone and that's it. They won't give me copies of the correspondence that I never received. They did admit not emailing anything, including lien notice, despite my change of address to email only. Their actions and words get more convoluted everyday. We just want our stuff back. My mother is already confused and suffering from her condition, and her belongings provided comfort and security, especially in the sterile confines where she now resides. In addition, her property had valuable antiques, as well as much of our own belongings. We had planned to arrange an estate sale to help with the exorbitant costs of extended care once we could access it. We are filled with sadness at the loss of my husband's paintings done by his father, anger at the loss of our home items that we cannot afford to replace, the tools and equipment my husband and I rely on for work, our personal things we've amassed over the combined 196 years between us. And everything else... to add insult to injury, we were treated with callousness and disdain. This on top of the underhanded and dishonest manner in which the auction was handled. If you're a prospective tenant, go elsewhere! Abby's in Templeton is clean , climate controlled & managed by a thorough and kind team that run a successful business without taking advantage of their clients. There are tons of other options - if you're life is at all in a state of chaos or flux, I'd choose anywhere but here for your own protection. 9/27 update: no word from this facility regarding our property. No attempts to provide copies of paperwork, contracts, etc. Is this silence guilt, perhaps, or just more callousness, I wonder? read more

Five stars and totally worth it; nothing but high praise for this business. On a Saturday I was looking for a storage unit for my R-POD, and found it here. Maritza was working this day and she went above and beyond helping. She walked around the lot helping me decide which unit was best for my needs. Two issues that make this awesome, 1) it was 95 degrees out...HOT.. 2) Maritza was 8 months pregnant....Yeah she was amazing. Also, I had a concern with my bill and spoke to the Manager Amanda Hatfield about it... She handled the issue quickly and to my satisfaction. This storage facility is safe, secure, and a highly trained professional staff. Would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for a storage unit. read more

Wow! I'm sure those two last reviews got the wrong storage facility. I have been with this super storage since October 2012. I have been nothing short of impressed by the professional and personal care I have received from DIRENDA and Maureen! I have had many financial difficulties and challenges in this last year and not once was I treated in an undignified manor when my payment was extremely late. They worked with my situation time after time. I must say their word is backed by integrity and compassion! I have always gotten the exact price I was quoted.
