Other areas charge for parking or have packing structures, so at least you aren't dealing with that. Despite the parking lot frustration, I find myself frequenting multiple businesses whether on the East side or the West side of the shopping center. The West has the following that I frequent due to value of service and selection of product: Massage Envy, LoAnn's Nails, Cold Stone Creamery, Panera, and Verizon. A great selection of shops with periodic sales, so worth taking a trip to Superstition Gateway West.

Some businesses come and go, but some staples have had my business for 20+ years like the Water 'n Ice store. Chris is truly amazing remembering both my dad and me by name. They recently went from $.25 to $.35 gallon, but well worth it to support their small business. If you are visiting Apache Junction, this is the plaza I encourage you coming to! A few of the locations I've visited (separate, more detailed reviews on their respective pages): - Fry's: Very large, busy, and sometimes chaotic. They do have a great cheese selection, so sometimes I brave the craziness to get some items that aren't at all grocery stores. - Barro's Pizza: Some of my favorite pizza in Apache Junction, and frequent this periodically. - Wendy's: A decent Wendy's in comparison to other locations. I've never had an incorrect order. - Subway: Very friendly and has always been quick to fulfill my order. - Panda Express: a drive thru Panda Express, count me in! Super convenient. If you are willing to brave the parking lot, there are some good prices comparative to other places. Definitely the busiest plaza in Apache Junction in my opinion.

Although it is located on the corner of Old West Hwy. and Idaho Rd., the entrance is extremely confusing and dangerous in my opinion. The entrance is off of Old West Hwy. and you have to turn left into the lot. When you turn left, you end up in a small lane in the middle of Old West Hwy and you have to wait for the oncoming traffic to clear before you can enter the lot. It Is confusing and what is scary is that there are MULTIPLE seniors driving all over this area. I have seen seniors who are very confused trying to get to the Fry's and start driving the wrong way!

Looks like a small shop from the outside but it's much bigger than you would expect and includes a full on art gallery of local artists work that you can purchase. Now back to the fun stuff. Creative gifts from candles, cards, trinkets that are fun. Along with hand made body care items. I'm in love with the body scrubs. Lulu sells her delicious treats she makes daily. Now that I have been back a few times I have tried a variety of items from cupcakes, gingerbread, gingerbread cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, spicy lime pretzels and the list goes on. Otherwise, I found myself visiting the shopping center yesterday when I stopped by Sole Sports. I finally had a chance to look around the shops when I was there and found some great restaurants that I have heard of along with stores that would be fun to shop in when I have some more time. Besides restaurants, there are services, boutiques, and cafes which cater to an affluent local demographic with upscale dining and convenient services in a strip mall setting. The key tenants include Ruth's Chris Steak House (which I've been to before), Alma, Starbucks, The Yard Gym, and Massage Envy. Other restaurants include Wildflower, Terroir Wine Pub, Pubblico Italian Eatery. Asadero Cocina + Cantina, and City Market Deli & Catering. Other shops and services include Nekter Juice Bar, Chico's, Patrick James, The Linen Tree, and Orange Theory. There's something for everyone! It's also in a great location on Scottsdale Road and Indian Bend. It's right across the street from the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, which is a fun place for kids, families, and even for just the random person who enjoys trains.
