There are four in the park who have taken it upon themselves to do TNR to try to manage the problem. For those who may not know, TNR is Trap, Neuter, and Release. The cats are trapped, taken to a local spay clinic, and then brought back home to recover. They must be released where they were trapped. There have been at least 10 cats in the park TNR'd by the residents, some of which were pregnant, and those pregnancies were aborted. Some found loving homes, and some went to a barn cat program. At least two were too feral and were returned to the park as required by law. In Arizona, killing or harming feral and stray animals is considered a form of animal cruelty and is illegal. This includes actions such as trapping them in inhumane conditions, leaving them to die, or using them as bait. The law protects all animals, including community cats, from mistreatment, poisoning, and unsafe trapping methods. Instead of taking care of the problem as the property manager, Diana Hopps chooses to punish the residents who have chosen to take it upon themselves to handle the stray/feral cat population humanely. The residents at Sunny Crest Mobile Home Park are living on a limited income with ever-increasing lot rents and being forced to pay for yearly palm trimmings. The least the park could do is pay to hire one of the many humane and knowledgeable cat trappers in the area to TNR these cats. She complains that she "smells cat urine," and there are residents who complain that the ferals have urinated on their plants or yard furniture, yet the property manager does nothing about it except to complain about smelling urine, when those residents are doing their best to try to alleviate the problem with TNR. But we are not professionals and need help with this process. The park needs to hire someone to do TNR. Feeding feral/stray cats offers several benefits, including: - Improving their physical condition: A consistent food source can help a malnourished cat regain weight and improve its overall health. -Easier TNR: Regular feeding can make it easier to trap the cat for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, which are vital for controlling the stray population. -Monitoring their health for injuries that may require veterinary care. animals -Bonding and socialization: Consistent interaction, starting with feeding, might lead to eventual socialization, making the cat more adoptable. This is a great park with heated pool and hot tub & many other amenities. The party was held in his community's clubhouse and was attended by his wife Jan, two daughters and son-in-law and beloved friends from his community and our Church. Bill is an amazing person. He runs the commercial Kitchen at Broadway. Wednesday's he prepares lunch for 120+ member who attended a midweek Bible study over Bill's lunch. He also serves this roll for weddings and other special occasions. This is a well orchestrated activity for him and his team of volunteers. And yes. Our lunch today was prepared by selfless Bill who else? The birthday surprises was his daughter's flying in to be a part of this generous man's milestone. For those in his community I want everyone to know from one of the Directors you have a special Person in your community. Happy Birthday Bill! And to the community members I met today, I love the tight-nit and warm feeling you all showed us today!

Since then, the management has turned over, and not in a good way. The people that came in as management made a big show with door, prizes, and gifts and comments of "look what we're going to do for you,"but since then, the business office has been closed, ( with the excuse that they can't get help). The Internet service has been spotty since the very beginning, and now the residents are told that there will be no Internet service provided, the office is closed again because they say they have no Internet service there either. Why can't the parent company of Sun resorts pony up a little bit and get an Internet service that actually works in the area? Activities that are scheduled between Sun Valley and the adjacent mobile home Park of Lost. Dutchman are held at that park and not at all at ours. It's hard to get a response when you send a request. There is a weekly meeting held by the homeowners Association members and residents, but the management don't show up for the meetings because they had negative comments made to them, and they don't like to hear the criticism when they have come. Monthly rent for the property is not expensive, and overall the park is tidy, but the expectations to keep it tidy are more for the site holders, then for their oversight. The gentleman who is responsible for the maintenance of the park does his best, and is very nice and does well with the facilities that he has. There have been multiple water leaks which are shut down water in this park for a day at a time, mostly because the infrastructure is old and decrepit. The new management installed a gas fire pit in the property, but they keep the key to operate the fire pit locked up, and you have to call someone in an office to get someone else to come over to unlock the box to give you the key to use the fire pit, so good luck, trying to use it when you might feel like entertaining a guest. Seems like the rules get longer with less support.

Having Jaime Gibson as our manager and staunch supporter is the icing on the cake. She listens to all of our comments and finds the best solution to satisfy both corporate owners and the people in this community. Very professional in all she does. The park itself is getting upgraded on a continuous basis.. New homes are coming in to replace where much older homes have been taken away for our safetty. Our clubhouse is now home to the office making it easy to connect. Mailroom & laundry room are being repaired after a water leak! I (we) couldn't be happier with Jaime's commitment to us and our community. She has made the transition from a 55+ park to an All age park, easy to understand. Happy to be a resident here in Desert Valley Oasis.
