I love car washes, and I visit them frequently all over the country (check my reviews, you'll see)! I'm not a car wash snob by any means, but I expect a decent value, a clean car, and equipment that's in pristine condition. I have come out and say it: Supersonic is truly the worst automatic car wash I think I have ever been to. This visit was my first and will be my last. It's ridiculously expensive for a scratch-o-matic drive-thru car wash, and the equipment is in really bad condition. The brushes inside the wash are wearing out, and some appear to be rotten or missing large chunks. They just beat and scrape your car while spraying it with water and soap. I was cringing the entire time as I rode through the wash. If you have a really nice or a new car, or even if you drive a beat-up tin can on wheels, I would not recommend this place. I wouldn't even want my worst enemy to run their car through here (well, okay, maybe that ONE girl....) My car didn't even get clean! It had a really gross soapy residue on the left side, and spots everywhere. One star just because of the friendly employee who helped me buy my wash at the machine. Otherwise, avoid. read more

We got a new to us car. It's beautiful and we want to keep it that way. I was using the normal gas station car washes but they didn't really wash it completely. We decided to buy a monthly go as often as you want package from them. We have washed it twice in three days and each time it restores the car to its looking brand new beauty. They give you an RFID card for your windshield so you can pass the line up. Vacuums are free and powerful. For being new members they gave us car scent trees and microfiber cloths. So far I'm impressed so I would recommend them highly if you're fussy about your car like I am read more

I guess my standards are too high for a $24 "The Works" wash. I tried to help by cleaning out any trash inside. There was a thin layer of dust on the dash, as will as other areas around the gear shift and cup holders. It doesn't look like they touched it! The $3 car wash down the street will clean and dry the outside just like theirs. I was especially surprised by the lack of attention, given the 6 employees in the garage for the amount of cars going through. Supersonic used to be a decent place for a car wash. It has gotten progressively worse and worse over the last 10 years. I finally canceled the unlimited wash pass for my wife's car. I have tried Platinum Car Wash on Fort Union a few times now -- what a difference! A completely new facility, with great service. It's a permanent switch for us. You could likely find cheaper, but I haven't found a better car wash. I went in yesterday after a trip to Canada last weekend. My vehicle was filthy with mud, salt, and road grime and emerged sparkling clean. The inside was nicely vacuumed and cleaned. I especially like the labor-intensive final wipe down at the end. They give you a chance to look it over before you leave and are good about touching up spots they might have missed. The waiting area is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bring a book and practice your multitasking skills. If you're selling your car, or just deserve a special treat, take it in here. Highly recommended. read more

For a basic wash? This place is amazing! The monthly unlimited packages are fairly priced, and include free vacuuming and wipe down of the car. The employees are friendly. They have lollipops for my kids. I really couldn't ask for anything more. read more

My vehicle got damages from the Supersonic Car Wash. My car is a new 2015 Toyota Prius, which I've only had for a month no paint damage or anything, but after I came out of the car wash I had what seemed like 25-50 paint chips on the front hood. The manager saw the paint chips and acknowledged the damages, but the Regional Manager Kamen Goddard has been ignoring my phone calls and ignoring my claim. I've talked to other drivers and was told that others have gotten broken windshields and other damages at this car wash, while not very common. The carwash should take responsibility for the damage their car wash causes. I would recommend not using this car wash. read more

From the non-communicative employees to the incessant Fox News Channel blaring in the waiting room, this car wash is far from welcoming. But, oh well, I thought, can't win 'em all. At least my truck is clean. Then as I was about to head out I noticed a giant crack had suddenly appeared, and was running all the way down my windshield. Great. So the employees just mutter something about getting their manager. After a while this guy appears and explains "there was a sign back there... the hot weather can cause the glass to crack... you probably had a rock chip..." Ok...? That's it. Not even the slightest HINT of remorse or the tiniest effort to make it right. Nothing. Guess he correctly assumed that I'd have turned down free car washes here. Driver beware. Just beware of this this company. Used a debit card (1st time on this card in two years) and within three days the bank is calling that the card is being used in Pennsylvania. Both the branch manager and the corporate office manager didn't seem to care or even offer to investigate further. In fact the office manager said they had been investigated by the secret service and they couldn't discover anything - so obviously they have had this problem before. If you go there, use cash or credit card only - if you don't have cash for a tip, life is tough. read more

I always take my car here to get it washed before and they've made some modifications to their washes that will keep me going there. The service is great and they comply with what you request. The passes they have there too are steal if you like to maintain your car being clean. read more

Turns out they are separately owned and the unlimited pass I just paid $40 for at another location is invalid. Wouldn't even honor an $8 car wash to try and keep my business. Hope it was worth it. This car wash is great! I have been coming here for a while now, never had any complaints about their service or employees. Management is excellent, and always very friendly. They have made upgrades to the property lately which make things even nicer. I always get "The Works" wash, and before I get in my car I am always asked if there is anything else they can do for me. Ordered a full service wash. My vehicle is only 6 months old and was expecting some interior attention. Not even close. They wiped a rag over part of the dash. 5 minutes for a full service?? I came in for the works car wash. The first time the job was poorly done with the dashboard dirty, windshield still uncelan wiped down and the outside still full of dirt. I came back in and specified what I wanted done the next day in order for them to fix their awful job. Went out to see my car and looked the exact same as before. What a waste of 25 dollars. My last time going to the Supersonic in Sandy. Today I felt cheated. I paid for the Deluxe upgrade and I did not get what I read on the screen. I got to the end of the wash and found out they no longer have the people drying the vehicles or applying the tire dressing.....which I read was part of the upgrade. I talked to the operator and he told me they no longer dry. I asked about the tire dressing and he said the screen said tire spray, which is done for free at Freddys. I came here a while ago and I'm still upset about the service I received! I'm so glad that I had a free coupon because if I had to pay for this place I would sue them for all they have. I came in with my Honda Accord pre cleaned and halfway through the wash I look through the window and my bumper was no longer attached to my car. When they were done they took me back to the garage and my bumper remained on the ground. All the teenage boys crowded in one corner in shock as I explained to them that my bumper was on when I got here and they watched as I struggled to put it back on. No one said anything to me and let me leave outraged without any apology or anything.. needless to say anytime anyone mentions this place I warn them not to go!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!! read more

Not worth paying $25 for the Works. Poor job inside and out for that price. Downtown location does much better job to detail. I shouldnt have to walk around and inspect to see if job was done right. I had a "Works Wash" $24 the first time I came here and when they asked me if there was anything else they could do for me today, I opened the door to look in and noticed the back seats were still covered in crumbs from my kids. They promptly took the vehicle back to vacuum again. I said thank you and got in my car only to notice the interior dash hadn't been wiped down....well there was a single half effort swipe down the middle. I again returned, they came out and wiped it down and gave me a voucher to return and give them another try. I figured everyone deserves a second chance so I returned again today and to my chagrin I experienced the same outcome. Half-effort vacuum work and a dash that was not dusted. There were even bugs on the windshield and mirrors. I guess the "works wash" just means they are going to work you over. A normal exterior wash here would probably be fine because the machine does all of the work, but I would not recommend you paying for any additional services. You might as well take $24 and get three car washes at a touch free drive through car wash. read more

In June 2017, an employee at this 'Supersonic' took off my unlimited pass that we had purchased from the 2100 South store and replaced with one of theirs. I told them I did not want to change anything but that did not seem to matter to them. They said their car wash is under new ownership and they did not honor passes from other Supersonics. They do a terrible job on wiping the car off. I have not been back to the this Supersonic since. The Supersonic on 2100 South had us leave the 10600 South sticker on the windshield and they put our their sticker on too. I went to our Supersonic on 2100 S Main in SLC on July 13th and believe it or not we got dinged on our checking account for $21.99 by the Sandy car wash. We have talked to 10600 South car wash. They said I agreed to their unlimited pass. Why in the world would I need 2???? VERY DISHONEST COMPANY. From the other complaints, they need to change ownership again. read more
