I was given an original bid for 2600 to completely remove a tree. After letting Alex know that I…read moreonly wanted the top part of the tree removed that would cause damage if it fell, he said it was fine and quoted us 1600 to do the job. After waiting for weeks with no word from him, he finally let us know he was either too busy or did not have the equip to do the job. I wish you had just told me that originally and not wasted my time. Apparently he recommended another guy that showed up for the appointment time 2 hours late. I would not hire someone that just can't be up front and tell you he doesn't want to do your job because he won't make enough money off of it.

I am really mixed with Olathe Tree Service…read more We have used them three times. While the trees they trimmed always look good, their employees damaged our mailbox with their truck. They admitted to hitting it right away and tried to fix it. It still looked bad and the door won't stay closed, so the owner offered to replace it. It is about a $250 mailbox. He stated he could either wipe our bill or he would pay for the new mailbox and would dig it in for us. I stated I wanted it replaced because it kept flying open; plus, we didn't want to dig the new one ourselves. In the meantime, I asked him to quote our shrubs on the backside of the house. Chet was a no show and called hours after he was supposed to be at the residence to quote the job saying he would need to schedule for another day. This wasn't the first time they blew off an appointment, so I called it a day and just took the free tree trimming as payment. It isn't cool when a customer reserves time out of their schedule to stay home so that a business owner can come to make a quote. We always lock our gate unless we are home, so he would not have had access to the yard. I haven't used Olathe Tree Service since then, because I don't appreciate my time being devalued. I could have gotten over the busted up mailbox because they do a good job otherwise. . .

We switched to Green Lawn, Inc. last year because the previous company who was doing our lawn…read moretreatment didn't eliminate a majority of the weeds. I do a spot check every week to dig up any weeds that might appear, but they were so numerous that I couldn't keep up. It was a bit aggravating to have to do all that cleanup when the treatments should have been more effective. We have been extremely happy with Green Lawn, Inc. this past year because their lawn treatments have killed off those weeds and allowed the grass to grow back. They have done a great job overseeding our lawn as well, and we have added on their sprinkler overwintering services for this fall. Also, all the employees and technicians that I have interacted with have always been polite, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile in doing quality work.

Called the next morning and was told "we got busy". I understand that some jobs take longer than anticipated but I at least expected a quick phone call to ask to update me rather than having no contact at all. Office was extremely rude when asked for a refund. Didn't even apologize for a no-show no -call appointment. I can't comment on the quality of their work as they didn't show but would strongly recommend hiring a different company if you're expecting an even minimal level of reliability, professionalism, and customer service.
