But, now with gasoline prices sky high again, I find that I've started to price shop and Shell is still one of the places the does well. The reason: "special" Scottsdale has zoning restrictions and governmental attitudes that make it almost impossible to open a gas station - convenience store in the city, so the ones that are there know they can gouge the public by charging 25 to 30 cents per gallon more. GREAT TOUCH FREE CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!!!! Fair price and I cannot believe how long you can drive through the dryer part for. Almost 80 seconds. This is amazing. No spots at all or very little and a great thorough wash. And passes the car a decent amount. I cannot say enough about how good this car wash is. It has brushes if you want, but only optional at time of purchase. Please keep this touch free wash open. I love it. I come all the way from downtown Phoenix just to use this one. I cannot stand all the generic big ol drive thru ones where who the heck knows what car before you had rocks or something on their car and now they are in those brushes. The only shell I know that closes whenever they feel like it. Both times out of 5 total, the same girl was locking the door and wouldn't let me lay inside. I had to pay inside because here cc machines at the pump weren't working. Owner, poor execution I came back and bumped them up to a 3 star as their diesel is the real deal not "bio-diesel" like many others. Still need to work out their kinks though. read more

Just know that this 'Super' place they will charge you $1.50 to use the machine to put air in your tires. And they charge $2.00 to vacuum your car. Do NOT use the carwash here. I paid $9.00 for an "Ultimate" wash that ended before my car was actually rinsed off. I went inside to a confused attendant, who gave me another code for a basic wash, but told me to only stay in while it rinsed my car, then drive out. I did that, but my car stayed streaked beyond belief. I had to drive to Costco to get my car washed appropriately. I should have gone there in the first place. I paid $9.00 at Superpumper, and $8.00 at Costco -- plus the gas to drive between the two. I was never given the option for a refund from the Superpumper clerk for a car wash that left my car worse than it was to begin with. Really inexcusable service. read more

I have been to this station a few times now, since I have spent some time in this area lately. Shell is usually good gasoline so I like going there and the price is quite decent. They are clean and I get a receipt at the pump, which I have found lately I have to go into places to get the receipt. They have a car wash which is another plus(I love a clean car). The little shop inside has about anything you could want when you are in a hurry, which is also nice. read more

Went to use the car wash, and saw they don't take cards. So silly me left car running and went inside. Paid for the car wash inside. Left went back to car when I realized left my keys in the car and locked my front door. Went inside to ask if they had anything there that could open my car, they didn't. The guy inside (who will remain nameless as to not get him in trouble) used his cellphone to call a locksmith for me. When he noticed the man hadn't showed up yet, went and called him again. When the locksmith finally showed up. The guy who helped me came out to see if I was ok and if I needed anything else. Wish there were more men like this guy. His parents should be very proud. HATE this gas station. It's close to where I work and I find myself here during the day when I forget to fill up in Phoenix. Hmm, let's see. Last time I filled up, it was 3.59/gallon and the QTs near me had 3.27. That's highway robbery, as AZ has the lowest gas prices in the country right now. Hell, I'll even hit the ghetto Circle Ks instead. I usually just get 3 gallons and split. Not worth it. Another thing that sucks, this place gets too packed. I notice that people park and then just stay in their cars with the A/C on while they talk on the phone/etc. You had to stop in a busy gas station to do that? read more

This is a very nice and clean gas station. They have a large convenient store, car wash, and air and water station. But they are pretty over priced. I paid 20 cents more per gallon to fill up here compared to my normal Frys gas station in Phoenix. I guess it comes with the location. read more

Do NOT use the basic car wash here. My car is so horribly streaked I cannot see out of the windows when looking into the sun. Car was worse after spending six dollars. I called the station to ask what was in the wash to make the streaking happen but the attendant didn't know. He did offer me a refund but I was already on the other side of town. Got an idiot working here. Pump wouldn't take credit card or Frys card, had to go inside. She told my husband that they didn't take Frys card and didn't give discounts....Duh!!! signs all over the pumps. He told her to forget it and she said she had already rang up the credit card (as you had to prepay) and take it or leave it. Well he wasn't happy but filled up since she wasn't going to refund or credit our card. Will never go there again and will tell our friends not to go either. read more
