Through some yeses and head nodding we decided on a look! We went to the back for a wash and wow. I don't think I ever sat in a massage chair while getting my hair cut! That was nice! After this we went back to the chair to get started. We kept the length and did something like a wolf cut! Now I don't normally stray to far from my millennial side bangs but hey change is good right?! And in this case change was GREAT! Omg I was so happy how my lifeless hair had so much volume and how the front part of my hair framed my face perfectly! Throughout the cut he would stop and just analyze my hair and kept measuring to make sure we didn't go to short and at one point he told me to not be afraid but it's going to look like he's cutting a lot of my hair up top but it won't be much. Thankfully he gave me the warning because I was like omg will I go bald?? LOL When we were done he styled my hair and wow. I feel so light and I look so different! I had a fringe and my bangs were now split down the middle but it flowed so nicely! Leo mentioned I can come back and get a perm so I don't need to style it, I might take him up on his offer! My cut was about $48 not including tip and my fiancé's cut. But I am happy and would want to come back! I haven't had a proper cut in years and have PTSD from previous salons so I always opted for a trim I do myself at home but this visit made me feel amazing!

Which is why I reached out again when I wanted to do something fun with my hair for my 40th birthday. Since this is in an outdoor shopping center, there is free parking right in front. She was already in Taiwan for additional hair training and would respond to me, going back and forth between me and Ken. And mind you, this is before Lunar New Year, when most people would get their haircut! My day started right at opening time (10am) with a haircut. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he just went with it. I will say this honestly: I've never liked my haircut this much. Why did it take me 40 years??? Anyway, we then had my hair washed and started with the first round of bleach around 11am, and then touch up. By 1pm, I decided to eat my lunch. I came prepared this time! Quick story: 9 years ago, I had no idea this type of hair procedure would take all day, and therefore did not bring lunch. Ken and Kristie fed me lunch! They are the best people, I swear. Anyway, after a rinse, we did another round of bleach with touch ups. I made it more difficult for Ken because I had dyed my hair a darker shade to cover my greys. I'm so sorry Ken! By 4pm it was no COLORING TIME! Ken started with the purple roots, then added the silver to the rest, with rounds of touching up. 5:30pm is when we did our last round of wash, then blow dry and a bit of styling. After a quick photo session, I was out by 6pm! I really appreciate them both for making this work, especially when I took up an entire day.
