Signature soft serve with marshmallows. So tasty.

We love this place -- as a gluten free individual it's really hard to find a solid burger with a delicious gluten free bun and gluten friendly fries. This spot checks all those boxes. Wonderful service - an owner who walks around and says hi to guests - and a super family friendly atmosphere in a pretty part of town. We love bringing family and friends here for a quick kid friendly meal. I'm not sure when people started holding burgers and fries up to such outlandish standards as to compare this to a fast food restaurant. It's delicious, quality food with a different twist.

The #1 Delicious Burger and $4 French Fries

My husband and I were craving burgers so we wanted to give this place a try after seeing the hype on social media and the mention of a James Beard Semifinalist behind the concept. Our experience was good, but not great. There's no front of house service team, only two tablets to order from the menu and they text you when the order is ready at the window. Though it's exciting to receive what looks like an adult happy meal box, we were disappointed in the amount of unneeded packaging. Plus with how windy it was today, everyones boxes were flying off the tables. They won't even be able to recycle the boxes. It just seemed like a lot of waste which probably also adds to the cost of the food. We thought the burgers were average and nothing to rave about. I was a fan of the shoestring French Fries, but no sauce was available to dip them in. The sauce situation was lacking on the burgers as well, but it was flavorful. I wouldn't say the fries were "extraordinarily seasoned" as the menu suggests, but they were hot and not too salty. The turf seating area includes picnic tables with umbrellas and lights for nighttime. It is a nice dog-friendly patio that I'm sure will be popular this summer especially since they sell soft-serve ice cream. The playlist was all 80's music if that's your jam. Free street parking.

There's not much normal about this place to be honest. You order on an iPad, but there's not great signage to tell you this, so if you're like us, you'll just stand around confused for a few minutes as a line quickly forms. Once you order on the iPad, you wait for a text to get your order. Getting a table here during peak hours is like the hunger games, with groups snagging a table before ordering. There's a handful of covered picnic tables, but this place is not as big as you see on instagram. My friend and I had to sit in the middle of two other groups to avoid eating on the grass (which some people opted for since there were no seats available. The burger was great and I have no complaints! The fries... sucked. I have no idea why they would season their fries with seaweed and seemingly no salt. These fries smelled like a petting zoo and tasted like cardboard. I didn't try the soft serve, but it's a pretty large serving from what I saw.

Second burger!

The burger was Ok although not really worth the price. The fries were just terrible imo though and I wouldn't go back there. Super-mediocre.

The soft serve was the best ice cream I've had in a while, and the hot dog was super flavorful.

The Finch is everything you could want in an upscale restaurant: great atmosphere, great food,…read moregreat service! We had a larger (10) group celebrating two birthdays and the staff handled things without breaking a sweat. We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation but it was no bother as our table was still being prepared. On that note: highly recommend a reservation, this is a popular place! Once we were seated we had the pleasure of Nichelle, a wonderful waitress. She was on top of everything we needed or wanted and we had very little wait time for her return. Great service! And the food... DELICIOUS! As you can imagine, our group of ten had a good selection across the menu and there was not a single person who was disappointed. Everyone loved their amazing food. What tops everything off is the atmosphere here. It's popular so, as you can imagine, it's a bit noisy. However, I like to call it "lively". And they really nailed the physical design, so inviting and upscale. I'll stop there and simply say: check this place out, it's great!

So many great things about The Finch. My server, Savanna, was EXCEPTIONAL, like AMAZING. She was…read morebright, helpful, and attentive to the max, but not in an annoying way. She even went out of her way to get me a drink that had fallen off the menu a few weeks prior, a delightful cucumber spritz. The ambiance is awesome. As others have said, music isn't too loud, just pleasant in the background, so it would be ideal for having a conversation. The space is open, bright, light-filled, and stylish. Parking is in a private lot behind the restaurant and they validate parking for up to two and a half hours. I wish I could rave the same way about the food. While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!
