They transformed my tiny galley kitchen-- with no dishwasher, almost no counter space, and cramped cabinets-- into a big, beautiful kitchen with a huge island, dishwasher, range hood, cabinets, and drawers galore, an inviting space to which guests are drawn to gather. I look forward to cooking and baking more than ever because everything is easier-- even cleaning up, because there is a place for everything, even the trash, all hidden from sight. It feels like they added an extra room without taking up any space-- the place looks and feels bigger. Charlie got the ball rolling, coming over to give me what a I considered a very fair estimate, measure the space, and discuss with me at length what I hoped to achieve. He recommended Marc with AMC Granite & Cabinetry to help me nail down the layout and provide the beautiful maple cabinets and granite countertops. The tile work was exceptional. My concept for the backsplash was not exactly conventional, but tile master Mike was willing to help me figure out how to pull it off. Mike is also a master plumber, and Joe a master electrician, so it's one stop shopping: They take care of everything. The work area was neatly sectioned off with plastic, so no dust got into the rest of my living space. Pro Bros broke all the stereotypes of contractors who don't communicate, don't show up, etc. The lines of communication were always open, they showed up when promised, cleaned up after themselves, and got the job done in the agreed-upon time frame. The workmanship was top notch, the cost fair and reasonable. Brothers Mike, Joe and Charlie, and their entire crew, were all professional, personable, and considerate of my time and space. It was a pleasure having them around and I absolutely love the results. I'd give them 11 out of 10 stars if I could. And I can't wait until they redo my bathroom!

I paid him $2,800, which I can prove with canceled checks, and the work was left incomplete. In addition, he caused damage to my home: my blinds were ruined, my driveway/pavers were stained from his van's oil leak, and my bedroom furniture was left covered in dust and drops of plaster. Despite giving him the opportunity to clean or repair the pavers, the stain remained. When I asked him to take responsibility, instead of addressing the issues, he became angry, defensive, and unprofessional in both his behavior and his written communications. He even tried to shift the blame onto me and claimed I should have purchased primer so he could check for his own mistakes -- an unreasonable and unprofessional expectation. Based on my experience, I would never recommend him to anyone. I am now left with damages to repair out of my own pocket because of his lack of accountability and poor workmanship.

I am usually very reluctant to talk to anyone that rings my doorbell to sell me something but Tom seemed very nice. Also, I could actually see the work they were doing on my neighbor's house so I decided to hear him out. I've been considering replacing the 28 year old roof for years, since I had started to see shingle damage during storms, but just kept putting it off another year at a time. Tom was a super nice person and didn't in any way pressure me into a sale. He showed me what they were doing to my neighbors roof and I asked him for a quote. Very happy with Tom's offer I agreed to the job. One difference between Hometown Home Improvements offer and other roofers is that Tom didn't ask for any money until the job was complete and I was satisfied. None of the other estimates I had gotten from other roofing companies offered this. They all wanted money before they started. The next day a crew showed up at 8am sharp, stripped the old roof off and reshingled it in one day. New gutters were on by the end of the day and the job was complete by the second morning. Tom also rerouted my back downspout to the front of the house, which is a huge improvement since I had excessive build up of water from the downspout coming off the back of the house into my back yard. His workers were extremely professional and hard working. They tented the back and front of the house and not a single bush had any damage to it. When they finished you would never have known workers were in my yard, it was spotless. The new roof is beautiful and it was the best decision to go with Tom and Hometown Home Improvement for the job. Well we are so happy and pleased with the work that Hometown Roofing did for us! They arrived the next morning, removed the shingles from our old roof, replaced some very needed rotted plywood (we did not notice that the area by the chimney was sinking in until it was pointed out), reshingled the roof and installed all new gutters...all in one day! They tented the house to cut down on possible damage to our landscape bushes and flowers. They returned early the next morning to install our gutter guards. Their team arrived around 730 everyday, and started working at 8, if not earlier. Even with rain stealing about a day and a half, the project was done in a week. The team worked past 5 more often than not, and on the last day they were sweeping our driveway as the sun was setting after installing the gutters.
