Scott was able to completely repair and tune it, in addition to assisting with conversion to EFI, replacement of many major components due to using cheap parts and lack of installation knowledge by the other shop, addition of a Gear Vendor Overdrive, new rear suspension, and many other improvements. The '61 Vette was a complete rebuild/restore from a "shell", and Scott's involvement included install of new 383 Crate Stroker with EFI, complete wiring, all new trim and glass, sound dampering, new gas tank and lines, new exhaust, new 5-speed Tremec, and significant involvement and oversight of body work and paint. Scott is honest, stands by his work, prices are fair and he takes time to explain everything, uses the best parts, and finishes his work on time. It was clear he had no idea what he was doing. Eventually he got so frustrated with the fix he showed his true colors. He got angry and offensive. After hours we started up the car, he used his truck to jump start the car? Why would a real machinic not have a portable tool to do that? Car started and he drove away leaving the bill. Well, a couple minutes later the car died. Called him back to access what was up because he wanted $700 hundred dollar and I am in the dark at 10 o'clock with a car that still had issues. When he arrived eventually, he was on his motorcycle with only a few tools. He tested the battery and said that was the problem. The situation got heated as I asked why would you not just simply start with the testing the battery as a first step and why not read any error codes first off as well?
