I paid the bill and when I picked up my car after work that day, I had AC and directional airflow, however I had no Heat. they asked me to bring it back in and then tell me, it's another issue for my Heat that's going to cost me another $1000 and because the mechanic I was talking to is the fiancé (Chris) of Shelbys, Chris says I never asked to get my Heat fixed and I'm basically screwed. stay away from these crooks!! if they were upfront and honest with me, I never would have paid $1007.27 to fix 2/3 of my cars problems. scammers and Liars!

My car is an older 1990 Mazda 323 and it is a lot harder for me to find parts for it. Well, they worked extremely hard to find those parts for me. After visiting two other garages previously and them telling me that they did not want to work on my car because of its age and getting parts for it. It was a refreshing experience to contact them for service. Not only were the employees there so helpful, but they made it a point to keep in contact with me during the entire process. They are friendly, helpful and kind staff really went that extra mile to help me out. I have not had that kind of service in a long time. Another thing I was impressed with was that I need another repair on my car and I believe the owner told me he would search for that part so I can have the steering on my car repaired too. That to me is great customer service. I actually live up in NC and came down to visit my family during the holidays. My car broke down before I even got to my parents' house. So finding them was a blessing. When they get the other part, I will specifically drive down and have them repair it. I recommend them 110 percent. They really seem to care about the job they do and it shows with how their customers like them. I can now include myself in that statement. Great job Farmeries! Thank you! A quick test to confirm the battery was indeed the culprit and Jack gave me the option to jump the vehicle and go to a battery place for the fix or he could make the run and install it at the house. However, today, I was checked in promptly and professionally; my car was quickly taken back to the shop; I received text communication along the way; at 10:26 AM, my car was ready. Checkout was straightforward; I received thorough documentation, and I was on my way out for a late breakfast. Kudos to this Pep Boys for improvements that have been made to customer service!

After paying over $500 total for diagnostics, tires, alignment, and an AC relay replacement, I picked up the vehicle only to find the AC was still blowing hot air exactly as before. The explanation I received was that they "did not check if the AC was working" after replacing the relay. That is unacceptable for an AC repair diagnosis. Verifying whether the repair actually fixed the issue should be the most basic part of the service process, especially after charging diagnostic fees specifically for the AC problem. To make matters worse, the only resolution offered was that they would "not charge to remove the Freon" if I brought the car back again for additional repairs. In other words, I paid for a repair that did not solve the problem, and now I am expected to spend more time and potentially more money because the repair was never properly verified before returning the vehicle to me. Very disappointed with the lack of quality control, accountability, and customer service. I would not trust an AC diagnostic or repair here again.
