Very disappointed with the service. I explained exactly what I wanted for my haircut, I even showed her a picture as an example. The Stylist seemed like she understood and said OK. If I would have known what she was going to do to me I would not have stayed. She cut my hair nothing like I asked for. After she finished cutting my hair, she said she gave me #2 in the back, that means the back was totally shaved. We didn't talk about shaving my hair or cutting a #2 in the back. She shaved one side and the back without telling me that was what she was doing. I kept going to this place and giving them many chances to a good cut. Either they just don't know how to cut hair or they only cut hair according to their opinion or how they want to cut hair. I got an astonishingly bad haircut here and when I went to the owner to try and fix it she clearly had no idea how to cut hair correctly. Both people took all of my hair into one bunch and hacked it all in like 4 cuts. It took a year before I could go without a hat it was so short in some spots! I made an appointment and showed the stylist a picture of the curtain bangs I wanted. She ended up cutting my hair into regular bowl-cut bangs and didn't even layer them. I'm super disappointed. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but I wouldn't rely on this place to get curtain bangs. I completely regret it; I would have been better off cutting my own hair. I can't believe hair salons ever had to close while the crowded mess in stores like Walmart remained open! The staff in this Supercuts was so conscientious of safety and cleanliness! It was very impressive. The stylist that cut my hair did a great job! She really listened to what I wanted. Dear Manager and Potential Customers, ***************** Here's the thing...Supercuts as a whole hasn't been crossed off my list, but I've realized that good technique, helpfulness, and professionalism are not attributes you can walk in and expect from each hairstylist in this salon. The first time we came to the salon Martha cut my son's hair and did a wonderful job. I loved the cut, she was great with kids, and most importantly when you spoke to her- she listened and then executed your requests while also providing her own helpful professional opinion. I came back and had Martha cut my own hair and felt like I was in good hands the entire time. I loved my new style, she hooked me up with a new product, and she told me that since it was my first time with bangs: to try them out and if over time I felt like I wanted them to be further back, have them adjusted when I come in for my trim! I genuinely looked forward to coming back and I really appreciate her insight . Today, I came back to have my bangs trimmed, cut a little further back, and have an inch taken off my layers. Martha wasn't working today so I was assigned to Lydia. It was essentially the opposite experience that I had with Martha. Every time I spoke to her, she would hardly regard me- wouldn't show much of any interest in what I needed done to my hair, OR what she was actually doing! There wasn't a long line or anything, but I was absolutely rushed out of the chair! I had to remind her a couple times to finish cutting my hair! About 2/3 of the way through, she blows the blow dryer on the edge of one of my shoulders and then says "like it?" My bangs were still covering my eyes! My layers were obviously uneven! The right side is significantly shorter than the left! I kept trying to point out what I was seeing and she'd just mumble under her breath and blow me off. The most attention I got from her was when she sent me to the counter to pay.... my face and arms COVERED in hair... and one side of my hair a noticeably different length than the other! I was going to repurchase the product I got last time, but honestly I didn't even want to tip her- let alone potentially allow her to get commission off of 2 $17 products! (I don't know for sure if they get commission but because I was so disappointed- I refused to even risk it). I paid and left a $3 tip... which I'm hoping got the point across.... you can't give a crap haircut, not listen to the customer, treat your job like your making fast-food, and send them on their way covered in hair... and then expect them to buy product and give a good tip. I really considered asking for a refund but I don't think the guy at the desk was the manager and I didn't want Lydia to try and hack on my hair some more to save them having to refund me. So anyway.... I will go back, but only to Martha. And if I were you, if they try to put you in Lydia's chair- say "no thanks" and go with someone else! read more

This is the worst haircutting place ever. Should call it superscalppers. My wife got a hair cut asked for shoulder length and thry cut it 4 inches an over her shoulder. You can't fix that and now she hates her hair and had to go to another salon paying 100 to get it cut and styled again. The haircut she asked for was very easy but the scalpers that work here fucked it all up. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

My go-to place for all of my haircuts. Angie has been cutting my hair since I was stationed at Beale AFB. I retired in 1997 and stayed in Yuba City. Angie is the only one who consistently cuts my hair the way I like. It's been over 21 years now. Even back in the day when she changed venues to Gridley and Oroville, I followed her. I'm giving 5 stars to acknowledge that this place has done very good work for me over a period of the past couple years. This is a Supercuts, a best-price-for-the-basics kind of place - not to be confused with an expensive and trendy 'chichi' artiste' experience. On every one of my visits, the folks have been friendly and attentive. The cutters are hygienic without exception, listen attentively to my requests, and give me time and good light to inspect my trim and ask for adjustments . They work efficiently, and I don't get a strong up-sell of expensive products like at most salons. 'Bobbi' has shown herself to be a skillful colorist, and I've never felt that my hair was damaged after being dyed or highlighted. Check a map before arriving, because the driveway has an odd approach, I think. Walk-ins usually work, but it's easy to call first to ask if there's a current wait. read more

Due to the recent lack of funds, I was unable to get my hair cut at one of my favorite local salons in Grass Valley, so I got my hair cut here around the evening. They were accepting walk-ins and someone was able to cut my hair within 5 minutes of walking in. The minute I met my "stylist" I knew I wasn't going to be too happy with the results. Though she was friendly, I could sense that wasn't excited to be there, and I couldn't blame her. I showed her a photo that I had saved to my phone. A spiky/textured crown with slightly textured bangs and #2 sides. I asked her to cut it slightly shorter than in the photo because my hair grows quickly and I wanted to be able to enjoy it for a while since I don't get my hair cut often. She cut my hair and asked if I'd like it shorter, I said yes. By the end of the cut, I was remotely ok with it after viewing it quickly about 3ft from the mirror. However, upon arriving at home my hair looked almost like a textured flat top, very little style. The bangs were sloppy and hardly longer than the crown. I guess you get what you pay for. Won't be going back. Hair stylists should really take more pride in their job; stylists should be creating art that gives someone a personality and makes them happy. Moods transcend into quality of work, and my hairdresser was definitely not in the mood for cutting hair. I expected a decent haircut. I went in for a haircut one week and talked to the stylist Alana about grey hi-lites because my hair is starting to grey and I wanted to add to it. She assured me could do the grey hi-lites and gave me a price of $55. The haircut was OK so I called the next week nd made an appointment for the hi-lites. So I went in and once again I asked her if she knew what she was doing and she told me that she's been doing hair for 10 years and she knew what she was doing.. I'm now a redhead..and I'm pissed! I have really long hair and went in to Supercuts today for a TRIM! A few inch trim. Kathleen chopped the heck out of my hair and not even symmetrically. I didn't know until I left and my hair dried and it was a MESS. Chopped here and there like a kid got loose with scissors. I went back and got my money back. Kathleen said "I was cleaning up the last ones mess" and I told her I got it cut there last time and it was fine. The manager asked if I wanted her to "clean it up" but I declined saying, "what and make it shorter?". I have been purposefully been growing my hair long. I have to have someone fix it. The hispanic lady who's chair is in the back left was TERRIBLE. Worst service I have ever received here. She tried to rush me out of the chair, the cover wasn't fastened needless to say hair down my neck. Wasn't offered a mirror for back of the neck. Wasn't given the complimentary hot towel. This was honestly the most depressing visit I've ever had at a salon. The lady who cut my hair did a decent enough job, but everyone there were the least friendly people I've ever met, like, anywhere. 10 minute haircut, left unsatisfied and feeling unappreciated. I had to walk to the location which took about 40 minutes, the walk did not bother me. But when I asked for a simple haircut: "a 2 on the sides and a trim on the top". My hairdresser managed to do the bare minimum on an already simple request. My sideburns were uneven, and she didn't take the time to trim the top part of my hair and make sure it looked even and proper from front to back. I arrived an hour before they closed and nobody was seated so I don't understand why she rushed me out of the shop and did such a half a** job.
