They said their reasonable accommodation was calling beforehand to say she won't be served. I was also rudely talked to and hung up on. I do not recommend anyone go to Pearl + Honey or work with Jordan until my wife is allowed to be treated with dignity and respect and I am offered an apology for being rudely talked to and hung up on. I explicitly stated that I still wanted my hair nearly all platinum. After the service was completed and my hair was washed, I immediately mentioned that the color was much darker than expected. I still paid and left because I wanted a second opinion before reacting. When I arrived home, I discovered that bleach had been left on the back of my neck and in my hair, which is unacceptable and concerning from a safety and professionalism standpoint. Upon further inspection, I also realized the final result was significantly darker than my hair was before and did not resemble the photos or description of what I requested. I had specifically asked for the front to remain fully blonde, which it no longer was. I returned to the salon and asked to speak with the owner. I was told she was not present. I explained the issues to another employee, showed the same reference photos again, and pointed out the bleach that had been left on me. I was told the salon does not offer refunds and that someone could redo my hair. I explained that I was not comfortable having the service redone, and I was told they would "wait to see" if the owner responded. While waiting, the employee returned visibly frustrated and stated she "didn't understand what I wanted," despite me calmly reiterating my concerns and showing the photos again. I again requested to speak with the owner directly and asked when she would be available. I was told no--not tomorrow, not later in the week, and not next week--and was informed the salon would be closed for Christmas. I was told I would not be able to speak to the owner at all and should speak to her instead, as she was "like a manager." During this interaction, she dismissed my concern about bleach being left on my skin by saying "that's something that happens." At this point, I felt increasingly uncomfortable due to her tone and behavior. My sister was quietly on the phone for support and did not speak; nevertheless, the employee accused me of involving her and asked me to step outside. I declined because I did not feel comfortable. I was then told I was being combative, which was untrue. Overwhelmed by the hostility and lack of professionalism, I became emotional and began crying. The employee responded by stating she was "done" with me and walked away, leaving me alone and visibly upset in the salon. I have never experienced such unprofessional, dismissive, and hostile behavior in a professional setting--especially one involving chemical services. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Board of Cosmetology and pursuing additional actions as appropriate.

I requested an appointment and they got back to me that I would need a full highlight/color melt, which was weird because usually I get balayage and a root shadow, but I decided to trust them and go with it because I know nothing about hair. I show my stylist what I got the year before and I wanted the same thing again and we agreed on that. I had a full head of highlights so it seemed promising. I think the color melt went too far though because my hair genuinely does not look much different and looks very brunette rather than the blonde highlights I asked for. I feel like it'll grow out very quickly and it won't look like I paid $360 for this. She also took 5 and a half hours total from start to finish and usually my hair takes 3 and a half. I was in a rush so when she asked if everything looked good in the end I said yes because I had to leave :( Overall, I won't be going back because I paid a total of $400 (tip included) for hair that I am not overly happy with. I think you have to be extremely clear with them on what your goal hair is, or maybe not go with a level 1 stylist. Also for the owner and stylist that did do my hair, I AM happy with the results so please don't take offense to this, I am just leaving an honest review because I don't feel like it was worth what I paid :( I'm a broke college student paying for this on my own so maybe that'll put my experience into perspective.

I don't need to talk the entire time but each time attempted to engage with her, I was met with attitude and silence again. She would then talk on her cell phone for periods of time or walk away to take personal calls. Bad days are understandable but this occurred at each appointment. I asked her to cut my hair and blend the extensions into my natural hair and she gave me such a snotty look and asked "why?" ....At the last appointment she snipped the band instead of the string and giant clumps of extensions were falling out. A friend of mine said they really did a great job with her daughter's hair and that they didn't charge an arm and a leg. Add the fact that they're open on Saturdays and deal with all sorts of hair, well, count me in. I called some weeks back and managed to get a haircut and a dye job scheduled before an upcoming trip. Because of my schedule, I chose to go on a Saturday, and you should know that Soleil 7 has two locations. I had called the Lafayette location and they wound up attending me at the Market location instead. No matter though - everything is close in Tallahassee. Given how long the haircut and dye job (which essentially just wound up being highlights as I hate anything that requires high maintenance) would take, they split my stuff into two appointments. One weekend I went and got a haircut, the next I went and got some dye in my hair. Dasha was my stylist and she was super sweet. I'm sure I'll be seeing her for all my hair needs as I just thought she did a fabulous job. I walked out both times feeling beautiful. Also, shout out to the front desk. Sophia attended me my first session, Carol my second session. Both ladies were warm and welcoming and brought me drinks. I especially appreciated their cute coffee mugs. Definitely adds a nice touch. Oh, and one final caveat - I walked out with coupons and my friend, thanks to her recommendation, is likely to get a discount in the future. Score!
