Supercuts - I am 13 th in line - Hair Salons Near Me - SPARTA, New Jersey

Asked for a trim on my existing lower back length hair, got my hair chopped to 4" long. Go somewhere else.

I have been a customer for several years, called to make an appointment, told no longer take appointments. Told App. is active day of, at 10:05, or you can show up at 10AM. Show up at 10AM, Get checked in. Fourth person in line, gets taken first. When leaving I asked why, Told she called before they opened and made an appointment before they opened. Told you can call 10 or 15 min. before they open and make appointment, this was never told to me when I called day before. Either take appointments or not, found this to be Bad Business practice. You've now lost a long time customer. read more

I went there for a haircut, told her I wanted it cut to my shoulders. She started cutting the back. She cut it right below my ear all around before she started on the sides. Needless to say, I didn't see how short it was because she cut the back first, so now my hair has never been short in my life. I guess it will grow but I showed her five pictures how I wanted my haircut. Very disappointed. I feel that she cut it in the back and went too short and didn't have a choice but to continue. Her hair now will need to be cut much shorter to fix the hatchet job that was done!! I am all for supporting small businesses but never again will be going back here!! I don't usually leave reviews, but I left this place is tears yesterday so I think I probably should. I got there and the person who was supposed to cut my hair was out sick. Fine with me, all I wanted was a few inches off, all one length. While this may seem simple enough, the stylist cropped my hair to above my chin and gave me horrible uneven layers. I will not be coming back here Update: I've changed my rating from 1 to a 3 because of the great customer service. Manager called, gave a refund, and was very apologetic and even offered to fix it free of charge. Mistakes happen, and it's good to know that this business cares enough about its customers to right their wrongs. read more

Went in for highlights and came out with 6 Different shades of blonde, brown and black. Shift manager is useless as is the assistant manager who said they could "fix" it. A complete waste of $34! I went in there for a blowout and left with my hair extremely puffy and wet in certain places. On top of terrible work, customer service was a 0! I told her it was still tangly and not straight and she blew the dryer for literally 10 seconds, while blowing my hair out she literally hit me in the head over and over with the dryer and asked if she was hurting me, what do you think lady!? Save yourself the time and money... she's lucky I even left her 10% tip. RUN RUN RUN, this place cannot last with service and performance like this. read more

Yes - at this place you get what you pay for - as someone complained, but if you want something specific I wouldn't expect to pay $8.00 for it or get mad when I only paid $8 for it. For a quick and easy cut - they certainly get the job done. The place is new, clean, and the staff is friendly. I will continue to return. read more

Recently a family member went to get her hair cut and was met by a very rude person. She was giving her a hard time and made her leave for not having an appointment, however just last month she walked in without one and it was fine. It seems like this person needs to work on her customer service skills and learn how to treat people, especially seniors that are disabled. read more

Don't go here for a haircut. They can't cut straight. I went here a few times out of convenience, each time I regretted it more and more. Shame on me! I always ask for the same exact cut and every time I get something different. I had one girl visibly irritated and frantically rush through the process because it was nearly closing time when I walked in. I would have gone elsewhere if they just said they were closing. The next time I went back, another girl botched the hairline in back. It looked like 5 year old had a go at the job! Going forward I'm only using a barber. I went to the location yesterday for my son. I believe the girl who cut his hair Deanna (she had blue ISH hair ). I showed her a picture of what my son wants She was very friendly and did exactly what we ask. She also showed us how to style his hair and even recommend products that i ended up purchasing 2 of because i love it so much! (lol). She fade his hair very nicely just I ask. My son look so great we will be back to see her thank you so much. He loves his haircut and style, I will come for my hair . This place is horrible. Their 'stylists' have zero clue how to cut hair. This is the second time I've brought my daughter (gave them the benefit of the doubt - my bad) who has pin straight, thin hair. BOTH times she asked for the back to be cut into a 'scoop'...the 'stylist' BOTH times said "a U shape??" and she said yes. BOTH times she walked out with the back cut straight across with absolutely NO 'scoop' to it. I wanted to go back in, complain and have them cut it right (if they had the ability) but my daughter was uncomfortable with me doing that. Is this cut seriously THAT hard to do?? I guess I'm back to paying $35 for a 8 minute haircut because these 'stylists' have no clue how to cut hair. You get what you pay for - and at Supercuts in Sparta - that isn't saying much. Stay away. ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HORRIBLE! NEVER EVER AGAIN! The girl who did my daughter's hair did the exact opposite of what she asked for, and we ended up going to another place the next day in Jefferson (WONDERFUL STYLIST THERE!) to correct the awful cut this girl gave my daughter. And at half the price, at that! I do NOT recommend this place at all....I can't believe anyone would go there! The one stylist was SO rude to customers that it was shocking. Super cuts seems like a great establishment from the outside view, but believe me when you get your haircut you'll have a whole new look on the place. I went in on a busy Sunday afternoon shortly after lunch Had a bit of a wait but nothing terrible. was greeted by a nice young lady who was quiet but cut my hair quickly and seem to do a good job. After getting home and showering, though, I noticed that one side seemed a bit uneven and wasn't blended well. after work on Monday (today) I gave them a buzz and let them know I had a little concern and got there on my way home about 10 minutes earlier than I had originally told them. another nice young lady greeted me promptly and took me right away. I showed her what my concern was and she immediately took care of it and it looks great. I asked if I owed anything and she said no which I expected but I offered to at least give her a little something for her trouble which she also declined simply stating we will see you next time. They did a great job taking care of me right away my hair looks great. Working in a service business I understand that things can happen and it's all about how well they are taken care of. Supercuts did a great job taking care of me and I will definitely continue to go back there. read more

Awful service! I went for a blow dry and not only did it take FOREVER, but it was ruined before we even left. The cost of a blow dry is $13 or up, and I was charged $30. The rate is understandable, if only my hair wasn't frizzy and actually stayed in. 100% do not recommend, DO NOT be fooled by the cheap prices. read more

SuperCuts Sparta Is more than super. They are fabulous! I was visiting family in the Sparta, NJ area and SuperCuts was having a pre-opening promo for free haircuts so my daughter and I stopped in. Well we both received the best haircuts we have ever had. My daughter's stylist was Melissa and mine was Joanne. Joanne took the time to make sure I was completely pleased with my haircut. I loved how she cut my hair and I am very picky when it comes to my hair. She was so nice too. It was a very pleasurable experience. My daughter absolutely LOVED Melissa! She now won't go anywhere else to get her hair done. We live almost 2 hours away so it's a bit of a hike for us but it is so worth it! We've been back twice so far. read more

Tried super cuts in Sparta NJ and was very pleased. Milissa my stylist, listen to my request and did just what I asked for. I have had $110 hair cuts in the city and this was as good if not better because it was 5min from my house. I was in and out in 25 mins with a shampoo, full cut, blow dry and styling. Can't beat the price either with senior disc and coupon and tip and it was under $20. LOVE IT......... read more

Went to supercuts before I was going to a wedding that day. My hair goes to about my belly button. I asked her to cut off the dead ends are 3-4 inches all the same length. I got my hair shampooed and conditioned. Then she cut my hair and blow dryed it. As she was blow dryer my hair she was pulling my hair so hard that I had a horrible headache after she was finished. I was done with my haircut and looked at my hair. The bottom of my hair was completely uneven and looked like a chop job. I was also annoyed because my hair was a little shorter than I would have liked. I get to the register my haircut was suppost to be around $20 and I had a coupon. Supercuts charged me an extra $19 just to blowdry my hair because of the length. I left the salon and went home. Since I was going to a wedding I didn't want my hair to look horrible. I went back to the salon and showed the girl who did my hair that it was all uneven and different lengths. She did not apologize at all. She juts told me that that's the way you're suppost to cut it. I asked for the manger and she recut my hair and apologized for it. This whole experience was not pleasurable hours before I'm going to a wedding. The haircut was so expensive that I should just go to another upscale salon next time I am getting a haircut. read more
