Worst haircut I've had in my whole life, I than called three times to have the manager call me back and never received a call. Finally I went back in to talk to the manager only to find out that the manager is the impersonal boob that cut my hair in the first place. He attempted to fix it but only made it worse. It has been a month and I still can't do anything with it, its so bad that even close friends who normally try to make you feel better have commented on it asking what happened to your hair! I've been a frequent customer of Supercuts for a few years now. Some days I run into really great stylist. Like today -- her name was Lexy and it was her first day. She was so down to earth. I normally don't do small talk when getting my haircut but she was such a nice girl it was kinda like talking to a friend. I've had other stylist here that are like Lexy, most of them were young. Since I'm yelping. I will tell it like it is. There is this one stylist at the Scripps Ranch location that has by far the worst attitude. I like Supercuts enough to come back but I seriously pray I am not a victim of the blonde Filipino chick. She's probably management, or at least she acts like she owns the place. She has cut my hair a few times, and every time she tells me how bad my split ends are and my color is off yada yada.. seriously why am I paying you to tell me my hair looks like crap?When lets be honest, I know my hair looks better than your wanna-be barbie look! More good here than bad here. I recommend them if your like me and don't want to pay $100 for a hair cut you can get for $20. :) read more

I'd gone to a pricey salon where an patronizing and arrogant fellow butchered my hair. I thought my only recourse was to let it all grow out. An upcoming social function made it a necessity to get at least my bangs cut so after actual prayer - no kidding! - I ended up at Supercuts in Malina's chair. She cut my my bangs to manage my cow-lick and then suggested that until my hair grew out, I could style it w/a curl creme to enhance some natural wave which would disguise the uneven cut. She showed me how to use it and OMG! It worked so well I am thrilled how much I like it! Thank you again, Malina (Malalai) for sharing your wisdom with somebody in desperate need. read more

I am giving a few stars since I'm sure this place is decent. I had the WORST haircut of my life (in my 35 years of living) with Nicole. I asked for a trim of 2.5 inches and layers under my chin. She went a little too crazy and cut TOO much. My layers are up to my nose. Also I asked for some long side-swept bangs only on my right side but she did both sides. Yes, I was going for a mom look (shorter hair) now that I've got an active baby always pulling my hair.. But I didn't want to look like MY mom!! I look like a grandma and the 'volume' is just horrible. It isn't a bowl cut but it almost looks like one. I can't wait until my hair grows out. Until then, I am not coming to this location anymore. I usually have good/fine experiences w/ Supercuts but this was a fluke. Also, I do think it's Nicole because she just had a nervous energy to her. It took 45 minutes to do my hair (up to 3 inches off and a trim everywhere else (layers), plus a quick bang trim) should not take that long. I didn't even get a shampoo done. It got to the point she sprayed me in the eyes with the water spray (i didn't say anything since it was just water) but then I started closing my eyes in fear she'd poke me with the scissors! She just kept going and going, cutting off a lot of my beautiful hair. :( Now I look even MORE like a hot mess, tired mom! UGH. And no, not going to post a photo! LOL read more

If you're looking for a fast, convenient, and good haircut on a budget go here instead of Sports Clips! My boyfriend went to Sports Clips in Scripps Ranch this weekend and got his hair butchered. He called Supercuts and asked for an experienced stylist to fix it. They were able to see him within 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon and did a good job at fixing the disaster Sports Clips created. He'll skip Sports Clips all together next time and go straight here. A couple of tips 1. It's very busy on Saturday's so I'd recommend making an appointment 2. I'd suggest staying away from here on Saturday afternoons. With Trader Joe's and Chuck e Cheese sharing the same parking lot, it can be difficult to find parking on a Saturday afternoon. Any other time of the week is fine. read more

Really disappointed with this location. My husband came here for a haircut a few days ago and the stylist basically just shaved off his head even though he had only asked for a trim. She left a bit of hair on the front and totally shaved off the sides. My husband was devastated as we were going on vacation the next day. So now all our pictures are ruined thanks to the incompetence of the staff here. My husband is too kind and didn't fuss about the cut because he figured the damage was done and unsalvageable. We are certainly never going back to this location EVER and I would highly suggest you go someplace else if you care even a bit about your hair! read more

PJ puts the "super" in Supercuts! I've been going to her for color and styling for a little over a year now, and every time I leave her chair, I feel like a magazine cover model. She does a fantastic job every time. My daughter likes to have Rita trim her long, straight hair, and she's always happy with Rita's work there, too. I took her to get an up-do for a wedding and PJ made her look like a princess. I love this Supercuts. I've been to others that were not so good, but this one works for me. read more

On 27Jan2021, I dropped off my wife at Supercuts, 9872 Hibert St # D3, San Diego, CA 92131. Owner Renee's wife got hair dye on the outside neck of my wife's sweater. I called Supercuts and she said she thought she had gotten the stain out. I said it was very visible, especially outdoors, the sweater was ruined, and I wanted $25 dollars refunded as compensation. I drove back to the salon to talk with owner Renee, showed him the sweater and again asked for a refund of $25 dollars to compensate for it. He said that "to be fair", I had to find the exact same sweater, purchase it and bring it in with the receipt, and give him the receipt and the old sweater in order to get refunded. I could not find the sweater online, as the tag # was no longer being sold. I spent 30 mins scrubbing the stain at home, then 30 mins more bleaching it. I got the stain out, but the beautiful long sleeve, button up, cartigan turquoise sweater was bleached to a much lighter color. The owner's wife is a sloppy beautician and Renee is an unfair, downright cheat who would not compensate for it! read more

I bring my kids in here for their hair cuts. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. I've had 3 different stylists and they all did fine with the kids. They even give them a lolly pop after. Previously scheduled an appt. for a specific hairstylist and was told she arrived at a specific time and my appt. was documented for her arrival. When I arrived on-time for her shift she had another person just sitting down in her chair. I mentioned to the young lady that I had previously scheduled an appt. She seemed confused and immediately the male manger Renee jumped in and said that my appointment didn't matter and I could wait. What? Why take appointments? Most unprofessional experience from a "Manager" that I can recall. In the 1 1/2 years that I had been going there, that was the first and only I had to deal with the "Manager". What a joke. Long overdue compliment for this salon! Every time I come here, I receive excellent service. I usually just get my hair trimmed or bangs cut by Rita. Rita has been the only one that's been able to cut my bangs right due to this weird cowlick but anyhow, this time I wanted a change. I scheduled an appointment for a hair color with Lonnie. I've been to her before for a hairdo for a wedding. She did a balayage on my hair and I've been receiving compliments every day. Thanks Lonnie for your special touch and extra attention! Freaking last time I go to this...I don't even what to call it. They certainly cut hair. But unless you know and have one person's schedule and can stick to theirs you're gonna be SOL. There are three people that I know can do good jobs there is I think her name is Nicole the blond one, Giovanni, and the Phillipina that's in the front right seat. Everyone else don't know what the hell they are doing. I don't have time to wait for any one person. Or go through the small process of making an appointment because it's not necessary. I just go in for simple haircuts that I even show pictures of what I want because I don't speak barber, that anyone who has a license and has the education should be able to do. I was greeted when I walked in for a trim - no appointment. My wait was about 10-15 minutes on a Monday morning with two customers ahead of me. Salon was very clean and bright. Was very nervous about getting a haircut since my hair grows very slowly and, like many of you, I have had a few nightmare butcher cuts. Diana listened to what I wanted and did a great job. She asked questions before she started and took her time. I was VERY happy with the results. I know that this shop needs to move clients through to make money and keep walk-ins happy so I was so happy with her attention to detail. I also appreciate the fact that she did not push products.
