I had been going to this location for 10 months; today, a woman who had cut my son's hair before told me after his haircut that we were no longer welcome there, that my son's haircut took too long and too much patience was required. Mind you, the haircut for a man before him took even longer than my son's haircut took. Had my son hit, or had a tantrum, I would understand--but his crying was enough to do it. I used to call in for my appointments and that worked fine. But then the phone system was kinda weird so Then I started booking my reservations thru the app. Easy peazy! I've never had a problem. Yes sometimes my stylist is running a little behind, but that is understandable. And just like I don't want to feel rushed while getting a service, I don't want them to rush on the previous client either. My daughter and I always see Tracy or Mariah. Both are great. Very disappointing. I was made to wait while they took someone with a later reservation than me. When I brought this up, Ana - my stylist said reservations don't actually hold your spot, which was very frustrating. So after 25 minutes had passed and it was finally my turn, I got my haircut and when I looked in the mirror I was greatly dissatisfied. Ana treated me like just another dollar sign and didn't take the time or effort to make me look presentable. I feel sorry for those who don't read this review before getting their hair cut here. Been to 3 different hair salon's and There's no other place I would take my son, but Supercuts with Ms.Tracy! The fact that she's super attentive to my son and she understands him due to him having autism & ADHD. She's very patient & works with him and understands he has sensory issues. She lets him take small breaks in between cuts and counts as she's cutting his hair so he won't have a "meltdown" . Professional, respectful of his boundaries & EXTREMELY patient is what won my heart over. It definitely is more than a haircut for me is the trust she built with my 7 year old. Poor customer service! I checked in online Saturday 50 minutes before, then arrived to wait half an hour and when I asked was told I "would be next" although they took 2 clients before me. It is maddening because someone had walked in and asked for a specific stylist, he was taken first. To add insult to injury, I asked what time they opened on Sunday so I could return and was told 9 am. Stupid me goes at 9 am and waited and waited; they open at 10 on Sunday! Needless to say I left. Well my previous review was flagged by Supercuts. I did walk in to the super cuts in sylmar. I did have a weird experience after asking to get a hair cut but was turned away since I didn't make an appointment. When you advised as a franchise to accept walk in. Granted, If I would've seen a number of people waiting while people where in the chair I would've understood, but when no one is in the chairs or waiting room and I get turned down because I didn't make an appointment and proceeded to say your next appointment is in 30 mins is just unprofessional. Please don't respond to this post apologizing and saying your #1 priority is customer service because you as an owner are clearly not aware of what's happening in your own store. Went in for a hair wash, due to having major surgery recently, and can't wash my own hair at the moment. Because it was only a wash, the worker Jasmine didn't want to take me as a customer, and chose to take the customer who checked in for her appointment, after I checked in for my appointment. I went in, with the intentions of feeling better, "when you look good, you feel good". Jasmine really isn't there for customers, she's there for money only, and her tips. I have been a customer for many years here, and have always given above the average tip to my stylist, so she assumed wrong, not wanting to take me as a client. This was my first time at this location and I'd definitely return. Leeanne cut mine and my sister in laws hair and I have to say this woman has talent. You can tell she has years of experience although she looks young and gorgeous. She cut our long layers beautifully and effortlessly. I also appreciated her advice and opinions. Stylist Mariah; Date of visit: 09-15-25 Have just above the waist long hair - wear up most days and looking for a stylish, medium short hairstyle. Brought in 6-photos as samples and then explained to Mariah that I needed advice on what would work. She listened, understood my dislikes and began cutting. I did tell her that it is just hair, it grows back and that I would like something that looked less "frumpy" for this retired Grandma. I am not a fan of medium short hair for myself but after Mariah applied her expertise, I am very pleased. The result clearly reflects her ability to listen, make suggestions and execute! I have been a Supercuts customer for close to 40-years and have visited a different location for most of that time. Unfortunately my last few visits at that location have not been satisfactory. After my last visit on the 15th when my request could not be met, I decided to find a new location. I'm very pleased with my choice and will visit this location in the future. read more

I went in for a trim and curtain bangs. The lady helping me named Sandy had no idea how to cut hair. She kept asking me. Is this OK is this OK right here should I cut it up to here? Should I cut it like this. Or? Which I came to you so you could cut my hair I know I want curtain bangs and I had a picture. What ended up happening is another lady had to come over and give Sandy a hair cut tutorial on my hair and still did not cut my hair right and I did not end up getting the layers that I wanted because I no longer trusted either of them with my hair. Tracy cut my hair after several years of impromptu cuts from my wife due to covid and my former stylist being far away. She did a great job, and I feel more than comfortable going back for another cut next time I need one. The shop was clean, the vibe was chill, and prices are aligned with other barbers around (also Tuesdays are their discount days). Their app is easy to use although I do think timing can be off. The wait here isn't a 'few minutes'. Really it's like an hour or 2. Also, they don't really cut hair well. I asked for layers but they said it wasn't possible for long hair? That's odd, last time I came here it definitely was. Mind you this was the same lady that cut my hair a few months prior. They also didn't take a coupon I used at the same location last time. I mean you really get what you pay for. And what's with people asking for a tip, I don't need to feel pressured to give you a tip if I clearly wasn't planning on it. Tracey cut my hair and I loved it, did exactly what I asked and made sure it was fine before cutting away. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. I've been to different supercuts locations before and I've had mostly positive experiences. This time was very different though. I came into this location on Wednesday September 28th around 1-2:30pm. I came in to get a trim and I am VERY displeased with the service I received. The stylist, April, was very dismissive and rude basically the whole time I was there and she didn't listen to me and what I wanted at all. I told her all I wanted was to even out the back of my hair. I specifically told her that I wanted to lose as little length as possible. She asked me if I wanted her to cut my bangs too, and I said "No thank you, my bangs are short enough as they are." After she finished cutting the rest of my hair, she proceeded to cut my bangs anyway. When she was finished, she didn't even bother drying my hair fully. She showed me my hair and asked what I thought. All I said was "It's short." because I was kind of in shock. She immediately got defensive and her attitude, which was already bad, got worse. I didn't want to seem rude or make a scene so I decided to just make some suggestions to try and make the haircut look better. I made several suggestions, all were turned down. I asked questions and was answered with attitude and excuses. I also told her that it still looked uneven to me and she just made excuses and blamed my hair texture. I decided to just leave it alone, I thought that maybe it didn't look that bad and I was just in shock and would get used to it in a couple days. So, I payed and left. I even tipped her despite her attitude and the fact that she didn't listen to me. After a few days, I still hated the haircut and I just kept finding more things wrong with it. Its so much shorter in the front then the back, the sides and back are still uneven, my bangs are extremely short, my layers are extremely choppy (as in like chunks are just straight up missing from my hair). I came in with a bob and left with a bowl cut. It looks like someone just took a weed wacker to my hair. So, I decided to call the store and see if there was anything they could do to fix it. The first time I called was Tuesday October 4th, I was told the manager wasn't there and to call back the next day before 3pm. The next day (Wednesday the 5th) I wasn't available to call before 3pm, so I decided I would just call that Thursday. I called in the morning and wasn't able to get ahold of the store at all. I called twice and both times it was just a "busy" sound and then the call would drop. I called again the next day (Friday the 7th) and the girl I spoke to had no idea what to do. She just kept telling me the manager was sick and that she didn't know what to do. I kept asking her if there was anyone else I could speak to, like literally anyone else that could possibly help me, and she said no because they only have the one manager. She asked me to describe the girl that cut my hair and thats when I found out that the girl that completely butchered my hair IS the manager. She asked me a couple more questions and then told me that she would relay the information to her manager and call me back. I asked her again if there was anyone else I could speak to and she just kept saying the manager was sick. I told her I didn't want to wait another day to have this issue resolved because I had already been trying to get ahold of someone for almost a week, but she just kept saying she would tell her manager and call me back. I gave her my name and phone number and decided to just wait it out. Two days later, I still hadn't heard anything so I called AGAIN. I spoke to someone else who confirmed that the manager was still sick, but she "tried" to help me. I explained the situation (again) and she told me that they only have one manager because their location is so small. I asked her if there was anyway she could help me and she basically said she could try. Like I said, at this point I had already been trying to get ahold of someone for a week. So, she offered to refund me. She told me she would call "the office" first thing in the morning to start the refund process and call me back afterwards. So, I left my name and phone number AGAIN. And AGAIN did NOT receive a call back at all. I wanted to try to resolve this calmly with the store, but I called all week and nothing was fixed. Then I spent all morning today (October 11th) trying to get ahold of customer service. I ended up having to fill out the "Contact Us" page on the supercuts website and wait for someone to contact me to deal with this whole situation. It really should not have had to come to that, but i'm relieved that its finally resolved. Still, I would 10000% NOT recommend this location. Now I have celebrate my birthday next week looking terrible. I am so beyond frustrated at this whole situation. read more

I have been going to Supercuts for 25+ years. I have (for the most part seen Zarah and I even follows her to the new location on Glenoaks & Hubbard. I walk in because the app showed no more opening today....it was that way since 10:00 this morning.... I have always had a nice experience when I haven't been able to "check in". Except today. There wasn't a single customer in the store and I figured that I would again be able to be squeezed into the schedule. The stylist (Trish) came out from the back room and asked for my name - I gave it and she asked if I had called a head or used the app. I said no and the app showed no times since this morning. She indicated that that means they have no openings. I looked around like "yes I can see you are busy" she stated that they are waiting for people (I guess those that called ahead) to arrive. According to this stores yelp page you do not need an appointment. I told her that they have lost a customer for life. I went out to my car and pulled out of the parking spot and pulled into another spot to watch as 30 minutes went by without a single person going into the store. Plenty of time to have cut my hair. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! Sorry Zarah - you have been the best stylist I have ever had. I hope you see this and reach out.
