Love how Leonor did my hair she is seriously talented! She was able to get my hair from a red to a very light brown/mixed with blonde without damaging my hair. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. Definitely will be coming back !

This is my go-to salon when I want to change my hair. Leonor is the best! She was able to do a color correction and left me with pink layers, just like I wanted. She really knows hair and will tell you what to expect depending on your current hair color/cut. I always leave happy and feeling so pretty!

if I could rate this place more then 5 stars I would!!! I asked for Leo and straight off the bat she told me what could be done to my hair since it was 4 shades of red and if you know red is hard to remove. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I left in awe and felt so pretty she did such an amazing job. The other ladies are great company and the salon environment was amazing too great vibes. I would 100% go back and recommend this salon even if it's a drive for you it's so worth it!

I decided to check out this place after seeing they had some decent yelp reviews. I called ahead but I was basically a walk-in. As far as covid goes they do take your temperature and they have you wear your mask, so that is one good thing. So, Maggie is the one doing my hair, I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted, a silver balayage on dark brown hair (granted I already had an ombre hair with bleached highlights. She seems nice we start talking and she gets to work. This is not my first rodeo and I know this a long process, but after three hours I'm still in the hair washing station which by the way it was the most uncomfortable chair I ever sat on. My butt, my back, my neck my everything was hurting. I feel Maggie struggling with my hair and I asked her how much longer because I was tired of sitting down and I had an appointment I need to be at in one hour. She stated that I needed more bleach because I had a yellow patch?? I was wondering how that happened? I was annoyed but I had no choice and I let her continue. After a few minutes, I see one of the other stylists walk by, I think her name was Lupe, but she decided to help Maggie and take over. Mind you by this time it was more than three hours sitting down and I was tired. Anyway, Lupe starts moving fast after I explained that I needed to leave soon. She was not that nice and was rough when handling my head and hair, I felt she was also annoyed maybe because I complained, who knows but it was just weird. She blew dried my hair super fast but still being rough and rude. Bottom line is that I was there 4 hours and I came out with mediocre hair. Nothing like what I wanted from the beginning. Maggie was nice, but she was really sloppy, I literally had black dye inside my ears and all over my cheeks, my earrings were black as well. The price was average, I paid $120 for the service and although I didn't want to leave a tip, I still left a $40 tip because they took the time. I was very disappointed and well, I'm sure you can guess that I won't be going back here.

I love my hair ! I went in there having an idea that I wanted a balayage style, Leonor delivered ! I love the color and the texture of my hair after the dye is amazing I see no damage to my hair what so ever. I definitely am satisfied with the final look :) she worked fast and very neat and focused work. Definitely recommend.

This was my first time dying my hair so I was really nervous but Leonor was there to help me out and got straight to work. They take their time and they really are prideful about their work. Leonor really made sure I liked what I got and was satisfied. She also gave me a lot of hair tips. This IS NOT a chop stomp. So if you want amazing results come over to Cocos. Maggie Maggz has been doing my hair for yeeeaaaaaarrrrsssss now. From a basic cleanup, to the complex amazing art piece we both keep working on every year lol She's an amazing hairstylist, she's got the eye of the beholder, super patient, super creative, this place will hook it up for a good price if you know what to ask for, takes 2 to tango. This is my go-to salon when I want to change my hair. Leonor is the best! She was able to do a color correction and left me with pink layers, just like I wanted. She really knows hair and will tell you what to expect depending on your current hair color/cut. I always leave happy and feeling so pretty! read more

if I could rate this place more then 5 stars I would!!! I believe Maggie was the lady that helped me fix my hair since I cut it on my own and it didn't come out how I wanted it to. She was gentle with me and communicated with me about any adjustments that I needed. I paid 40$ for a trim/cut, wash, and blow dry; definitely worth it and definitely coming back. Got a haircut from Maggie and I 100% recommend !! She was so gentle with my hair and brushed it out using Salerm21 leave in conditioner. If you have stubborn hair I totally suggest using it. She left my hair feeling fresh and brand new. Thank you so much! Definitely coming back. read more

Paty is AMAZING. I went in panicked because the night before I ruined my hair. It was broken and purple/ green. I walked in and Paty took me in right away, she asked me for exactly what I wanted and that's exactly what she gave me. I said I didn't want to go dark so she fix my whole entire hair and gave me that silver light look I was wanting. Paty was so sweet and took her time on me. I recommend her so so much ! I had my first cut and color here today. Yes, it's a Sunday. I called to check availability at 10 am. They booked me for 2 pm. I was on time as was Maggie. She is 21, very sweet, very professional and very good! My hairdresser retired and I have been searching for a new person to color and cut short hair. I have been traveling to Valencia or Montrose and am happy to say, Coco Look right in Sylmar is excellent! I watched the staff cut, color and keep people moving all say Ling. The shop is super busy, very clean and very relaxing. Give them a try, they are open 7 days a week and support single appointments right through families. Pricing is fair and cash only. I am so happy I tried someone local! read more

From brassy to SASSY! I have been coming to Coco Look Salon for a couple of years now. They never disappoint. The location is easy to find with plenty of parking. But I do schedule my appointments early. Staff is friendly & the place is so cute & stylish! I book my appointments with Maggy, she's so sweet! Now that I've read the reviews I know I should have declined Maggie's advances to service me, I asked maggie to trim my hair ONE INCH, and trim my long layers less then an inch but ONE pushing it, 45 mins into the hair cut I literally had to ask her to please stop cutting my hair why is a trim taking so long ! She butchered my hair.. My hair was well down to my waist.. VERY LONG!!!! I was so scared to look in the mirror before I did I asked her if my hair was still long and she said yes that I feel like this bc of the layers??? ... I knew it wasn't, my hair is now to my bra strap with choppy chunky layers ),: she cut off more then 5 inches of my hair.... I cried all the way home... I will never step foot in this establishment again.. read more

This five star review is for Leonor. Incredible work done in one session without damaging my hair!! It actually feels nice and soft. Will go back again. Highly recommend. I went into her salon with ugly red hair (see before and after pictures posted) and wanted a change. She was able to do the brown and caramel highlights that I wanted in a few hours. Before I sat down I showed her a picture and told her i "i haven't stepped in a salon in over 8 years please don't make me regret it are you able to do this hair on me " her response "uezSo I came here because I saw the reviews I saw how great they were I needed my hair done for the first time in eight years I haven't stepped in no salon I know my hair was damaged my hair was long I know that my hair needed some color correction and the first time is not gonna come out how I anticipate or at least it would be close I was think however it was a complete nightmare. The girl that did my hair I believe they called her Maggie she was sweet I can tell she was nervous I wasn't sure if this was her first time doing hair she was sweet very timid I had showed her a picture of what I wanted I told her I've always had black hair but I would like to do a bit of highlights but still keep my dark hair on the top for the reason that i'm pretty dark skinned she said no problem I'll get it done. So she had to put toners three times because the highlights that she put on top after I told her I didn't want any highlights on top they were completely orange the bottom part was gray. I got frustrated I've been sitting on the chair for over four hours and the results was pretty scary. I am about to show you what I showed her what I want how it looked right after she was done and how it looks now. I don think I will ever step into a salon for a while again. read more

Let's start this off with stating the obvious... I'm.Very.Picky. there's no denying the fact that I don't trust my hair to just anybody. But I decided to take a leap of faith and check out this new place. As soon as I called, i immediately felt welcomed. Leonor is such a sweetheart. She really takes her time and care for your hair. She gave me very detailed explanations as to what she was doing and why she was doing it. She genuinely care for her customers and especially the health of ones hair. She stayed with me 2 hours AFTER CLOSING, And I got the best service I've ever had. I've already recommended this place to everyone I know and I will be back!!! I was so sad showing up to my event with flat hair, no curls no style and 50$ + tip for nothing. I went to this salon to get my hair washed with a blowout and some curls. I had an event that day and I thought why not. I felt like treating myself for once. I never do much with my hair and I was so excited to see my hair done plus with my new dress. The hair stylist was nice everyone else seemed unfriendly though. I got my hair washed but she didn't blowout my hair, so my hair was flat, no volume and my curls were pretty much nonexistent within 30 minutes of leaving the salon. I didn't understand and I realized she didn't used any Products in my hair, not even hairspray! Like wth happened. I know I wasn't paying attention but I felt I could sit relax and get my hair done. I did show a picture as reference and explained over the phone when I made the appointment . The style I wanted was simple too. Disappointing experience. Such a waste of time, money and effort to look cute:'( read more

Leonor is amazing!! I went in with faded pink hair and roots that needed touching up. She was able to get me blonde roots without any damage and no breakage and without breaking the bank. She had never done pink before but it came out exactly as I pictured it. Better actually. She was extremely skilled, not to mention nice and helpful. I'll definitely be coming back to her. read more

This post is long over due. I found Leonor through Yelp and she is awesome. She works on my mom's hair and mine hair and every time either of us come out we leave happy. She loves her job. If she isn't happy about the result she will not let you leave her salon. She is honest with you about whether or not the hair color will stick. I had black hair and wanted to lighten but no one would go near it and if they did they quoted me unbelievably high. She looked at it and told me it would have to be done through a year's time. She didn't say no but she said I had to be patient. The year has passed and my hair survived the light color transition. I also love how kind and funny this lady is. She takes great care of my mom's hair as well. She has loyal customers and it's for a reason! read more

When I asked for shoulder-length hair, she seemed surprised, even though my hair was well below my shoulders. It wasn't extremely long, but it was certainly long enough for a simple shoulder-length cut. Instead, I ended up with a bob. I'm not sure if she misunderstood what shoulder length means or if she thought my chin was my shoulder. I could see the panic in her eyes when she realized the mistake and offered to thin out my hair, but there was no way I was letting her cut anything else. Yes, hair grows back, but I had already mentioned that I had a wedding in two days. I was left trying to figure out how to style hair that's much shorter than what I asked for. I could have voiced my complete dissatisfaction, but honestly, it doesn't matter--they've lost a customer.
