Eva is amazing because of so many reasons but I appreciate the fact that she takes the time to get to know you and understand your relationship with your hair, some hair goals, and she also shares really helpful information and tips. My hair got long during the pandemic and the ends were getting pretty dried out. So she got rid of a decent chunk of damaged hair before going in with long layers and a face frame. She definitely took into consideration that I don't style my hair or put heat to it and cut accordingly. The shape of my face is more flattering with my new haircut from Eva. Deciding to get my bangs cut was a really big deal for me. I was indecisive and nervous because I hadn't had them in years, because my thin wavy hair can get really curly & frizzy when short, and because I have a very stubborn cowlick right in the middle of my forehead. After much consideration I decided to do it! After doing LOTS of research online, I knew Eva was my chosen stylist. When I called, I left a brief message, and she quickly called me back to book the appointment and get a feel for what I was coming in for. I couldn't have been more impressed! Everything I'd read about her in her reviews was exactly true, and better! She spent a devoted amount of time listening to me and my concerns, looking at and gently learning the textures and feel of my hair and then professionally offering her suggestions. When she finally gathered, cut and styled my new section of bangs, she carefully walked me through every step BEFORE doing anything, just to make sure I was ok with it. She also cut my long, wavy layers perfectly! This may sound like a long story for just getting bangs cut, but to me it was the absolute best experience ever and I couldn't be happier! Okay, this is my third review for Eva. I'm sorry, but I can't help telling the world about what an amazing hairstylist she is, but I actually don't have to cause her work speaks for itself. I needed to cut my hair really short to prepare for an upcoming neck/spine surgery. She gave me an amazing pixie cut and I'm so thrilled! She is also great with doing my color and highlights, Brazilian blowouts, anything I've ever asked for, she's done it with excellence. Got a Brazilian blowout with her years ago and I totally forgot to leave a review. My smooth silky hair lasted a good year and some months. A lot longer than what she said so that's a good thing. I have so much love for Eva and her salon. She's the only stylists who I trust with my hair. She has so much knowledge about hair, specifically curly hair which is amazing since not a lot of stylists know how to cut curly hair. I've put a lot of effort in growing and caring for my hair that I was willingly to pay over 100 dollars for a cut - A CUT. No wash, or blow dry, just a cut! Eva washes and blow out your hair for less than half of that amount. I don't do the blow out because I do the curly hair method (yea, I'm serious about my hair. If you know, you know). Most importantly, she understands what the customer wants. It's very difficult to find a stylist who can achieve certain looks and coloring. I've showed a pic from ig or my Pinterest and she's gone above and beyond. Usually I'd be holding my breathe praying that the person doing my hair understood want i wanted. Eva, literally hits it on the nail every time I go. I just have so much trust in her and you should just go and try her. You won't be disappointed. Her salon is such a relaxing experience. The environment is so Instagram worthy. I love the black and white design. I love how clean it is. I think she also uses lavender or some type of smell to relax you. This review is long over due. I've been coming to Eva since 2017. When I went to Eva I was a bit hesitant because in 2016 i was given a super bad cut. The cut made me look more triangle head shape with nappy hair. My curls weren't noticeable and my hair was so puffy since then I didn't go to any salon because I was terrified. My hair was getting so long that I got enough courage to considered getting a hair cut but it wasn't till I did all my research about cutting curly hair. My research told me I needed someone specially trained to cut curlies which worried me because the price ranges were over 60$. I never paid that much for hair cut, so I kept searching for someone less expensive and near to my house. Luckily, I found Eva! I found her on natural.com, I think. I was searching for people who were trained to do the deva curl cut (if your a curly who just began embracing her/his hair check out deva curl! It's amazing!! She sells it too and gives you a discount). The day of my hair cut I was super nervous and scarred. I didn't talk much all I remember was thinking please don't fuck up my hair, please!!!! She came in and began talking English which gave me some ease because all the women who cut my hair weren't fluent in English. Yes, I speak Spanish but more like Spanglish and I've felt that i was never understood. Eva understood me right away, and not in the snobby "I know it all" type of way. She heard me and gave her opinion about the cut and how it'll best suit me. More importantly, She noticed I was scarred and we began talking about my dreadful experience. So, her knowing that she told me every step and reason behind what she was doing. She still does it till this day (I just got a cut yesterday). Not every salon person does that. She spoke with me for a good while. My cuts usually last about an hr or so. My second cut she did dyed it and did, not high lights but some other treatment, starts with a B! Afterwards I was sold on her. She's such a professional and knows what she's doing. She isn't outdated like the other hairstylist. She's up on the trends!!!! Lastly, I so happy she moved closer to me! My job is literally around the corner and my home is down the street. Soooo heyyyyy, plus the parking is larger and the salon looks more chic. It always did but now since it's in a nicer area it looks better. Over all, my experiences are always great. I never had a real salon experience until I met Eva. She offers water, wine, soda . Washes your hair on a comfortable chair that gives massages. The biggest plus is that it's at a reasonable price!!!! read more
