Angela was awful. Asked for a trim with a little more off the top. She ruined my cut and scolded me for not telling her what I wanted. She wouldn't listen and threatened to quit and have another stylist finish the cut. I have never had such a bad cut before and never been scolded and blamed for the bad service either. read more

I've been taking my two boys here for about 2 years now, and I can't say I've ever had a bad experience here. Out of all of the times I've come in to get their hair cuts, I've never made an appointment and have only waited more than 15 minutes once. Most of the time I sign them both in and already ready to give one of them a haircut first. All of the ladies that cut their hair over the years have been extremely friendly (that also includes all of the other ladies working with other people). And have always made both of my boys feel really comfortable, which was especially helpful for my youngest. Who was 2 when he first started coming here and is is now 5, since he hated getting his haircut. If he didn't sit on my lap he'd refuse to get it haircut since he was scared. But as he kept going, and became more comfortable, he now sits so patiently for Desiree and is very talkative talkative with her. Another good thing that I was used to when getting my own haircut at barbershops, is that keep your haircuts on file. So whenever I go in they ask, all they have to do is look in the boys' file. And ask if they want it the same as last time. For my youngest it's pretty much the same style every time, but with my older son. He'll try out different styles here and there. If you're in the area I'd definitely check this place out, and when you're done you could always "treat" your self to a Starbucks with is located next door.....I do the same sometimes for the boys after. It was more as a bargain with my youngest if he did well getting his haircut, and I'm ok with getting him some chocolate milk! LOL read more

It's been a while since I had a haircut and decided to try this place out. I made an appointment online. I got there 10 min early and was helped right away. I had DES as my hair dresser. She was amazing. She took the time to look at the picture I showed her. Showed me the length before cutting it to make sure it wasn't to short. I couldn't be happier with my hair cut. When I came home to take a better look at my hair, I found choppy layers and my hair is totally uneven! She also took about three inches off. I was raised to be wary of 15$ haircuts. I am so excited that I have found a place that defies the stereotype! I walked right in and was immediately seated with Desiree (sp?) who was warm, professional, and personable. As a bit of a beauty nerd, I was surprised to listen to Desiree and April (one of the other stylists) give myself and the other customers great advice that I normally wouldn't receive from stylists. Things like the technical reasons not to use shampoos and conditioners with specific ingredients in them, how hair dye works, and a few other things. Desiree worked with me on the style she cut for me, to make it the best not only for my fashion sense, but the maintenance level I had in mind (minimal). I walked out of the salon excited to try my new style out on the world, and I've lost count of how many compliments I've received from friends, family... even strangers! read more

Was visiting area and really needed to look fresh. Found this Supercuts and was serviced by Lucy. Got greeted right away and didn't have to wait. Usually get a faux hawk with a 0 on the sides. She asked if I'd like to get down to skin which I actually preferred. Lucy was very personable and did ask questions to make sure it's as I wanted which it was. Looked super clean leaving. This place is a rip off. I called in to ask the rate to get mid sized hair length curled and was told $13 and up depending how much hair I have. I go in to show my hair and all of a sudden the rate becomes $35 just to get some loose curls. My hair isn't even that long, just below the shoulders. I go to a salon across the street and was told $25 is the charge for loose curls. Supercuts was ripping me off. Disappointed. read more

Been coming for four years and now they've lost their touch. Prices went from $17 to $19.25, it just isnt worth the price. The lady I had seemed to not know how to cut mens hair. I gave her a second chance but she disappointed me again with her lack of experience. The top cut was uneven, using her hand to measure one half and a comb for the other, she was hesitant. It took a good 15 minutes to shave the side, as she constantly switched between the hair clip adapters, which turned out mediocre. I said to trim the top and she mowed it. Took a whole hour to get a simple trim. Probably won't be coming back. read more

Upon entering this location, we were met with blank stares as to if both my husband and I were getting haircuts due to two stylists looking to cut one another's hair. When we said both of us would be getting a haircut a woman rolled her eyes and prepared to take one of us. I was the lucky client to get her and her name was April. I'll tell you she couldn't cut my hair fast enough. She was so quick, done within 10 minutes, just to get me in and out of her chair. I had seen another client offered a hot towel, I was not. She didn't take her time. Later in the day a friend had noticed that the back of my head had long hairs missed and asked where I got my haircut. I was hesitant of coming to Supercuts and now I know I'll never return. Her terrible attitude and carelessness shows and now represents this brand. To top it off this was more expensive than a local barber who takes their time and appreciates my business. April also told people waiting that she couldn't help them next due to another appointment happening an hour from now. April was terrible, her attitude, lack of interest and overall negativity. When I walked into Supercuts I told the lady that I would like a 2 on the side and a trim on the top, but she didn't know how to do a blend, but I needed a cut today so she proceeded with a two on the side and a three on the top, I don't recommend it if you're trying to get a blend or a fade. read more

Been getting my hair cut here for a few years and typically use this location for convenience as it is close to my home. This is the second time I have been turned away because they are booked until closing time?!?!?!? Apparently you have to call ahead because walking in an hour and half before closing time on a Sunday will get you turned away. I find this completely unacceptable and a poor business practice. Why would you not service all your customers regardless of closing time. Lazy and horrible customer service in my opinion and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

My sons hair was crooked the hairdressers blamed my sons head saying it was crooked ! My sons head is not in any way crooked. She probably doesn't even have her license to cut hair. I went to this place the other day and had a horrible experience. I told the lady(don't want to bad mouth anyone) what I wanted, but she cut it very unusually. The cut was also several inches longer than I requested. The back was cut the opposite of what I asked for. Just overall, I really regret coming here. I'm getting it re cut today by someone else. I can't believe I have to spent so much on just one simple haircut. It felt like she didn't listen to me at all, but cut it the way she wanted to. The manager/supervisor was HORRIBLE! My son has autism. The stylist has cut my sons hair before and is understanding to his needs. Each day is different with him. My wife tried to take him in and he wasn't cooperating so I came back with her. Sat in the same stylist chair and my son began to be difficult. The stylist did her best and actually a great job for me holding him in place for the cut. Just as we're about to finish up the "manager" came over and said we needed to STOP because MY child was becoming a "risk" to others! I couldn't believe what she said. My wife told her he had autism and she could care less. She said, well he's too loud and needs to stop! WOW! We asked why she was so rude and not understanding? She replied, "I'm not rude WE WERE RUDE!" My wife was in tears! She had to leave and I paid because the stylist did a great job and was understanding. After reading dozens of reviews for salons/barbers across Sacramento and Elk Grove, I decided to give this SuperCuts a try. Despite being a drop-in, I was called up within ten minutes of my arrival. The stylist (with purple hair, I think her name is Brenda) cleared up my confusion on the differences between an undercut and a combover. She offered to do one first and then change it if I didn't like it. I've visited this salon multiple times, and have never experienced anything quite as bad as I have today. First off, their chairs are ABSOLUTELY horrible. My back hurts after 10 minutes in them. Anyway, I walk in, and a lovely lady checked me in and told me it'd be about a 30 minute wait because there's only one stylist and there was one person in front of me. That's fine, I'm patient. I run to the bank, and come back. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the person in front of me leaves and I should be next, right? Nope. They took a woman who came in about 35 minutes after me and took her despite me telling them I was first. I wait another 30 minutes or so, and decided to leave after an hour and 5 minutes of waiting. Their quality cuts are not worth the wait, either. Very average cuts. read more

I have been coming to super cuts at this location, to see Dez for over a year. I have been happy with her service, the color and cut that she has done on my hair. but today was disappointing and i will not be returning to Des or the Supercuts at Elk Grove Florin. I have investors visiting my business this week and desperately needed a color and cut. Dez initially was kind enough to agree to see me and work late. she had the option to decline the job but offered to stay late and do my hair. However when I arrived she was snappy and cold. I tried to be cheerful and engaging considering she had a busy day. I sat in the chair she began to ask me what I wanted. I wasn't understanding her question. Her facial expressions(rolling her eyes) combined with the snappiness of her responses and tone left me feeling uncomfortable about the quality of service I might receive. I responded that maybe today wasn't a good day to have my hair done. She agreed, removed apron, and exited to the back of the store and I left.it is now 4 on Sunday I do not have the notes on the coloring of my hair because she's not speaking to me and I have no way to get my hair done today. This makes me an unhappy Customer because I wish she would have just said she could not see me today ,maybe recommend someone else that she thought could do my hair rather than me wasting my time driving all the way from Greenhaven to Elk Grove for her to cut my hair and now I have no time to find someone else to do my hair.I am very surprised and shocked at what I witnessed and experienced today .
