I needed to get cleaned up for my sister's upcoming wedding, and needed a great haircut. Heard good things from a buddy who went here and hit them up right at opening. There was only one stylist working but luckily I was the only customer right off the bat. The stylist was Savannah and she made sure I had a great experience! She talked through a couple different things first: what I liked about haircuts, what I didn't like, how I like to style my hair, etc. She took her time to make sure my haircut was about as perfect as it could be, all while having a great conversation. The salon itself seemed newer than similar locations and was extremely clean. Also, make sure to use the app to put your name down on advance and check wait times. This was hands down, by far, the best haircut I have ever gotten from a walk-in chain, and I will surely be back for many haircuts to come! Thanks again, Savannah! read more

Won't be going back, unfortunately; 2/3 times I've visited haven't gone well. One visit, the girl (can't remember her name) didn't do my hair like I asked (I think there might've been a language barrier, and I felt bad repeating myself). Figured I'd give this location another shot, but was disappointed. Savannah did most of what I asked for my haircut (minus a wash, but no biggie), but she spoke condescendingly of how I cared for my hair (I had some dead, tangly ends), and she was very rough with my hair while it was wet. I almost stood up in the chair at one point because she was pulling so hard with her comb through a tangle. The one thing I did appreciate was her suggesting some Paul Mitchell shampoo; love it. I think I'd rather head to Gemini of Chicago a few doors down. read more

I'm not too sure what the woman's name in the salon was when we walked in but I don't care to know. My friend and I walked in at 6:30(30 minutes before closing time) & she told us she didn't know if she could get us in. Mind you not she was sitting on her butt and on her phone when we walked in. So our thoughts immediately were "ok let's go somewhere else" then she decided she could take us. When I sat down she asked where I worked & I told her I just had a baby 2 months ago. She asked if my "baby daddy" was in the picture and I proceeded to tell her 'yes we plan to be together forever' and she didn't hesitate to laugh under her breath as if she KNEW my love life. I also didn't like how she started to face frame the front so I spoke up which YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO! She made me feel terrible about speaking up & told me that in order for it not to look choppy she has to cut more off. But she made it choppy in the first place? She has supposedly been doing hair for however many years and doesn't know how to do a simple trim without choppiness. To make conversation after the awkwardness...she asked how I style my hair. I told her I don't style my hair much, because I had a hard pregnancy and am always home never doing much. AGAIN, she laughed and didn't believe that. I truly don't understand what happened or what I did to deserve her to be so rude to me. She told me that I shouldn't be going to hair school since I never style my own hair. EXCUSE ME?! I basically had nothing to say back to her in any of these conversations, because like my mother always said..."If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all!" Which was the case for me. When I paid I STILL tipped her, because that is the kind of person I am.. but believe me when I say I will never go back. I support local businesses, but not Super Cuts in the Lake Pleasant/Happy Valley complex. If you go there DO NOT get your hair cut by a short, skinny woman that has a boob job. Came in to get my mode on done and ended up leaving with a messed up hair cut. I don't understand how they could mess up something that was already there. All they had to do was followed the lines and shave my sides. The mohawk was already there but... apparently they can't do that and ended up messing up my mohawk in turn I had to shave my whole head bald which made it ruined for ATV show I had I would not recommend this place to anybody and when called to correct the problem as they still charged me. they dismissed me very quickly and wanted nothing to do with anything I had to say not even an apology buyer beware they don't care read more

I had a wonderful experience with Gail! I have not had a hair cut in over 2 years and Gail did a wonderful job of giving me a fresh cut with some long layers. She was a very experienced stylist and gave me lots of feedback on how my hair was doing (even the bad)! She was extremely flexible and made sure she was giving me the best service, evewith her being the only one in the store working. Fantastic!!! Came in today no appointment was able to get one of my sons in before someone else's appointment. I don't remember the name of the stylist but she was amazing not only making us feel comfortable but kept things clean and asked everyone if they were comfortable with the cape the mask or needing anything. BEWARE, the staff is 5 star while the management (Franchisor of Regis Corp) is a BIG 0! Management has stopped accepting Senior and Child coupons sent from the Franchisor. Management considers the Child and Senior advertised rates as DISCOUNTED RATES and the Corporate Coupons disallow "double coupons". Since this Franchisee also considers the advertised rates as "discounted" will not accept them. I have contacted the Franchisor (Regis Corp) about this but so far have gotten nowhere. Petty, I know, however Regis and the Franchisee could be facing Discrimination and Advertising litigation. Bottom line, a greedy Franchisee...BE CAREFUL if you are a Senior or parent. read more

It is great, the area is nice, short wait, and clean. I have never had an issue. There have been other places where the stylists don't listen to what you want, here I get exactly what I am looking for with professional advice, it works great. read more

This is going to be long (warning) I have to start from the beginning... My sister and I left squidInk next to Supercuts and I'd been talking about a color that I'd wanted for my hair. Let's peak in to inquire", I suggested. The girl came to the desk and asked to help me. I showed her the picture of the color that I was looking to get. I asked how much it would cost and if she was comfortable coloring and styling African American hair. She was honest, and I appreciated her honesty. She was not comfortable. However, she referred me to "the manager" Corena. I came in maybe a week later to see Corena. I showed her the pic and made an appointment with her. Because of an emergency out of state, I didn't keep that appointment. But I rescheduled. Corena seemed confident, I trusted she'd do well. WRONG!!! After coloring and then toning twice, my hair was a mess! The first attempt I looked like a carrot top (orange) the second; big bird (yellow) and the third time, she decided she'd just go darker (and I agreed). She couldn't do it. When my hair was dry, All I knew was my hair was not bright orange or yellow! I paid for my service, gave a tip; that I should not have given after a 3 hour service... I got to my sister's house and she said, "you paid for that? Your hair is green!" I ran to the bathroom and she was right! Horrible! Spoke to Corena and she offered to have me come back.... I admit, I was headed back and decided; "she had 3 attempts. My hair will be down the drain dealing with someone who obviously not knowledgeable. I'm a licensed cosmetologist in 2 other states as well as here in AZ. I went to CosmoProf, brought color (demi permanent) scared to over process my hair. I went him colored my hair again. It was weighing on my heart so bad that I called Corena today and asked for a refund. I paid $67 for a f'd up color job and then paid to buy color and more of my valuable time doing my hair again. She directed me to the owner. She's not authorized to give a refund. Rusty, the owner, informed me that they don't give refunds either. But he was going to speak with "his manager", she's knowledgeable, she's the manager, ... blah blah blah... needless to say, I knew there would be no resolution. Therefore I decided to write a review (long)... He didn't care; and although she did, and was willing to "try" to get it right. I did not trust that she could after 3 attempts. Stick to the required 17 minute cut that you'll get there. Please don't go for color... At least don't go to "the manager". read more

Have always been happy with supercuts locations around the country. Have moved around quite a bit for my previous career, and never had a single major problem at a single supercuts...until a few days ago when I stepped into this one. The worst part of it is, I've planted my foot down just up the street from this location. Came here and actually got one of the best jobs done by one of the girls here at this location. Then when it came time to pay, well I realized my loyalty supercuts card was full and this one was to be free. Have been using their little 8 cuts, 9th is FREE card for a long while at different locations, but this time, some idiot-looking so-called manager at the location who was doing nothing but sweeping up hair and "trying" to look semi-important decides to not honor the card. He comes up next to me like he's my friend and tries to whisper a "great deal." I felt like I was at one of those sleezy used-car lots. No, I just wanted my free haircut and I WILL be back as usual, every month. Instead, he says he will give me, "come on, like maybe, lets see...half off? Wow, this is hard...lets do $7 bucks and I'll take your card off your hands?" I almost felt like he was bargaining for a cheap hooker on the streets of Bangkok or something...maybe thats where he got his practice? Either way, I reiterated that I wanted my haircut free and he simply refused. His name was "Gary" by the way. Either way, the girl who cut my hair was so nice that she said, "Well, we have to answer to him, if it were me, I'd have just taken the card." She ended up giving me the haircut for only $7 dollars anyway, so I gave her a fat tip. I won't be back at this location, Gary is a moron and a very poor businessman, poor sport...don't see him lasting there that long. read more

Virginia is the object of my 5 review. (This review is for cuts and trims only although V. told us this Supercuts offers perms and color, both of which I do to my hair.) Always requested Virginia while she was working at another walk-in salon. So glad I happened upon her here!! Previously (3 years ago) brought children to this Supercuts and after a couple of times, never came back due to non-listening stylists. Recently, daughter needed a quick trim so walked in just before closing. To my surprise, Virginia was there - We Found Her!! Although Supercuts is more expensive than Great Clips, this will be our go to for cuts and trims! Virginia is a Gem, Really Listens and confirms back what we ask for, understands various hair types in our family, and shares and offers recommendations or things to try. Hate to share Virginia, but the owner of this salon should recognize what a gem they have. read more

We have been to this Supercuts a few times for my 3yr old son's haircuts, and when we have Virginia we know we can walk away with a pretty decent haircut. Unfortunately, today she was unavailable. The woman who cut his hair today did a number...she trimmed too wide behind his ears so it looks really funky. Also, it wasn't until we left that I noticed he had black hair in his hair. My son has very blond hair, so the fact that I could see black hair trimmings in his hair tells me that she didn't clean between customers and completely grossed me out! I don't think that we will be back after this incident. read more

Used to go here quite frequently, on Sundays, but no more. Employee running the place on Sundays is very unprofessional. She blames the computer for scheduling problems, and spends an inordinate amount of time socializing when lines are long. I had originally made an appointment on Friday to avoid the wait time on Sunday, but was told the appointment was never scheduled. This is the second time this had happened with the same employee. No attempt to rectify the mistake. Ignored until I walked out half an hour later. Unacceptable. read more
