CLARENCE !! Clarence cut my hair again - from long unmanageable hair to the short natural curly hair that is so easy to take care of. He took his time with me & I so appreciate it. Especially since after I said " shorter! " He was patient & friendly & made me laugh. He does such a great job on my hair& I highly recommend him. And be sure to tip him well- he deserves it. read more

This was my first visit to SuperCuts! Found this location through a friend and I was really impressed. The shop was clean, had good music playing (at least music I recognized from my former days of glory) and the staff were friendly and quickly acknowledged me when I walked in. I was fortunate to get seated with stylist Otis- he was engaging in good conversation, he listened to what I wanted, and he advised on additional optional services offered at this location. Overall, very satisfied!! read more

I walked in with my child in tears. He had a terrible haircut today from another more expensive barber. Otis saved the day!!! He fixed the cut and had my child leaving with a smile. In my son's words "Otis got me!" read more

Monique is simply the best. Intuitive, kind, and patient. I come out here just to get my hair done from her!

Affordable place to get a haircut. It is often busy so typically you will need to wait. Overall they tend to do a better job than many of the way more expensive places. read more

This salon frequently has no internet, meaning the Supercuts app you think you scheduled with counts for nothing, and only cash payments can be accepted. The manager is curt with clients and uses a very aggressive manner of speaking to customers. I had an 1:05pm appointment on the app and was still waiting for service at 2:30pm. Had to pry info as to expected time I would be serviced out of the manager. And I had called salon at 11:30am and told to use the app although they knew they hadn't had internet all day. I also overheard the manager telling my stylist that one of her customers who visited the prior week was not welcome to return. What bad public relations to have other customers hear! I have loved a stylist there who has cut my hair for 20 years, but the customer service is so horrible, I will seek services elsewhere. read more

This place has no idea what customer service is. I went in a few weeks ago and the "greeter" didn't even bother to look at me. no one greeted me at all. that was my first clue I should've left. As I walked to the counter, the greeter (still not even looking up) took my information. I sat down and one of the women cutting hair said "can you move, you're messing up the tv." I was confused and I just looked at her. I eventually moved because she kept blaming me for "messing up their tv." Apparently, because of my location near the door, I was interfering with their janky antenna for their tv. It was the way she said it though, "you're messing up the tv." No, sweetie, your janky a.. antenna ain't worth a ....2nd clue. The third clue was the "greeter" started to clean and wipe down right next to my seat. There aren't individual seats, it's one bench and she was spraying cleaner as I'm sitting there, right next to me. It was clear they were rush to close up. But the internet and their door outside said they closed for 3 pm, so I had an hour and half. But they were closing an hour early, and i didn't realize I only had 30 minutes. This was never communicated to me upon my arrival. After waiting 10 minutes, it was my turn and I just said "you all seem like you're in a rush so I'll come back." The woman cutting hair said "we have 20 minutes so I can cut your hair in 20 minutes." I said "I'd prefer not to be rushed." I was trying to still be nice after the terrible service. Then the lady (same one who blame me for messing up their tv) said "well, we DO close in 30 minutes." She said in a sarcastic like, you're so dumb kind of way. I just said that's not what your door says and that's fine I'll come back another time. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! Me writing the experience doesn't fully make it clear how rude these (un) -"professionals" were. I thought because I had a good experience at the super cuts on n. Carrollton, this would be the same. It was not. All these women had to do was communicate with customers and say "we are closing in 30 minutes, but we can still get your name on the list..." or something like that. I was not about to pay almost 30$ for a rushed hastily executed haircut. I have hair down to my waist! Skip this place!!! You can get better service at a hair school! These people are Unprofessional, rude, uncommunicative and will gas light you into thinking their poor customer service skills isn't intentional just to get you to leave just so they can close early. Go to n. Carrollton. read more

My friend came in with an awful haircut. Looked like a child had cut it. She said she went to this Supercuts because it had 3.5 stars and she took the first available hairdresser. She said when she told the hairdresser - a man whose name she does not remember - she had chosen this Supercuts because it had 3.5 stars he said "well that's the location that has 3.5 stars. I only have 1 star. YOUR LUCK JUST RAN OUT LADY." It is super....bad....short. Like a crew cut. She is getting a lot of mileage out of sharing this story. And we laugh a lot about it. But it's more than 2 weeks since she got her hair cut by this guy and still....she has the worst cut ever. I felt it was worth the share. read more

I checked in at Supercuts, here at the Riverbend and I'm elated to find it better than ever. I was able to meet Pattie, the manager of the shop. Patti's management style reflects in her staffers' projections of professionalism, accommodating clients, listening to what the customer expects, an immaculately kept shop, and genuinely friendly and expertly trained cosmetologists to serve the clients. I experienced the expertise of Layla and Katie on different occasions. I was asked what level did I want my hair cut down too. I had never been asked or given that precise concern in my life. I saw Katie in action in the past, but I didn't get a chance to experience her work at that time. It was my first experience with Layla also, and on each occasion was a great experience and left satisfied. I trusted them from the start . I was introduced to products that could possibly serve my needs that I had discussed with the cosmetologists, Layla at one occasion and Katie at another. I was very happy with the quality of the products, and the product area had just about everything one would need. Each time I checked in there was continuous traffic, but that was no worry for Katie and Layla. On another visit it was Katie and a barber I hadn't seen before. Also, I will not forget the kindness and gentle treatment by Pattie, the manager when seating and older somewhat handicapped client, cutting her hair, and checking her out. It was the epitome of customer care, and absolutely memorable. There was not one unhappy camper in the shop. The clients were satisfied, they interacted while being styled, I also had a chance to kibbutz (chat y'all ) a little with some. You see how much you learn from me, you can thank me later yeah, by letting YELP know if my experience is a thumbs up or down. If you decide to check this Supercuts out tell them YELP sent you, Dat's right, y'all. Supercuts also do waxing and shampooing, call and find out. It's children friendly, in fact there were two young children there when I was there. Katie bragged on her manager Pattie, her fellow staffers, Kang, Lucy, Layla, Lan, Brantley and last but not least Samantha, who just started. and a genuine company woman. It's all professionalism at its best. I am their's forever. I would not hesitate to refer Supercuts 712 S. Carrollton Ave NOLA 70118 ( 504-865-9403) to everyone. Bre was amazing. so sweet and efficient. I will most definitely be back to see her.

Fantastic job on my hair. Everyone who knows me love the new look. I am definitely coming back!

I have a short afro, and I normally find a hair stylist or barber who is accustomed to working on kinky hair. Having lived in another city for many years, and just returning to NOLA, I didn't know where to get my hair cut. I took a leap and tried Lan's chair at Supercuts. All licensed stylists/barbers ARE SUPPOSED TO be able to cut every type of hair. Despite knowing what training they all receive, my expectation was the opposite, that I'd walk out looking like a tragedy, but woo-hoo! Lan did a great job! She shaped up my feminine short fro and edged my neck lines. I am so pleased with the job she did. All hair types can be cut at this Supercuts, and that's a double deal at their affordable prices! read more

My son got a haircut from some guy, we don't know his name, and he stopped midway leaving my sons hair unfinished. It doesn't look good and he didn't bother to finish after he cut his finger. To top it off, we got overcharged $50! read more

1.5/5 cheap but you get what you pay for. Wasn't a great experience. Very factory style, depends on who you get (never been so couldn't ask for a specific stylist). Anyways, the clipper was landing on my head, and it felt like the guy was actually trying to buzz through my skull. I'm really glad I only wanted the side and back trimmed because I wouldn't have trusted any actual cutting up top. The entire buzz took under 10 minutes, and the entire time the guy seemed like I was the inconveniencing him. Also, they don't sweep between cuts - so it was a nasty workstation, and the chair I was asked to sit in still had someone else's hair in it. Still searching for an under $30 men's cut (as in actual scissors, folks) option. read more

I won't mention the other two places where I used to get my hair cut in town, but one was a barber shop and the other a salon. Both charged around $30 for a haircut, and I quit going to both places after leaving more than once with a noticeably bad cut. I've come to this Supercuts location four times now and left happy each time. Each time, the person cutting my hair asked if I'd prefer scissors or electric clippers. The first time, I said I didn't really know, just do your best job. The person used scissors, which seems to be the golden ticket for my ugly head, so I've learned something in the process. A good, standard haircut from friendly staff for $15 is my cup of tea. I will be back. read more

I got a good haircut here. They have a cool electronic checkin system which is nice. I'm in the military so I got a pretty basic cut. They also offered me a military discount. Thank you Supercuts! read more

Shout out to Katie with the awesome tattoos for helping me wrangle a free-range toddler into submission. My expectations were very low considering its a walk in situation and I'm a three hour high-maintenance cut and highlight girl. My spouse is considerably lower maintenance so he's here pretty regularly and they do a great job. Katie was great with our little guy. She was patient and she helped manage expectation beautifully. Ma' little dude came out looking like a little boy and for that I'm grateful. Definitely recommend for a quick cut! Reasonably priced. Great service. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not go here. For 16.95 (with tip), you're better off paying a few dollars more and going somewhere else. I decided I would go to get my haircut here because most other barbershops close at 5, but boy I made a mistake. Yolanda was my stylist and couldn't make it more obvious that she didn't want to be there. Everyone has a bad day, but at least crack one smile during the entirety of my haircut or give me some kind of enthusiasm. Asked for an inch off with scissors and got a mediocre wack job with two uneven side burns. Never coming again and advise people to do the same. read more

For 12.95, you can't really complain. I just needed a trim and that's what I got. When I walked in, the waiting room had three people in it. I put in my name, was told my a really soft spoken girl that it would be a few minutes and then walked to Walgreens a few storefronts away. I came back and the waiting area was packed! Almost every seat was taken. Still, I only waited a total of 20 minutes. The staff was okay. They were not overly friendly and made no attempts at chitchat (sometimes a good thing). If I were getting highlights or a more complicated haircut, I might not trust them. But this place is fine for minor upkeep. read more

Hey everyone, Trent has moved to his own place called Two Guys Cutting Hair and it's at 2372 St. Claude Ave in the Healing Center. Trent was my favorite, so I will be going to his place from now on. You can see my review of his place for more information. That said, I want to pay tribute to this Supercuts location, as most of the staff is very courteous and do a nice job of cutting hair. I've gotten my hair cut at this Supercuts for many years and I was always content with the job. Now that Trent is gone, I recommend the Vietnamese woman (sorry, I can't remember her name) or Katie. They are both great picks at this location for both men and women. read more

Typically service is fine, but FRANNY wanted to try something new (a fade). The "fade" was uneven and different lengths throughout. Came back and Franny refused to fix it with an attitude expressing that it has been past 7 days. If I could I would give her -1 rating. read more

Supercuts - Terrible "fade" - Hair Salons Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

Well first off the majority of photos are not of this location. You'd thing Supercuts could post it's own photos of it's actual salon. My husband gets his hair cut here and it's always a mixed bag. My husband gets his hair cut there and they always do a lovely job. I was a bit hesitant to have my own cut there but I was in desperate need for a trim and decided to give them a chance as their prices are much lower than my usual salon. I'll be going there from now on. read more

I've never had an issue. Plus it's Hair, it grows back!?!?!?? Sheesh. Always friendly people in there, willing to talk and share stories. I'm just here (Yelp) to read the nasty comments, of people that have nothing better to do with their time. So ridiculous. People should spend more time praising each other about the good times and less blasting about the bad times, might be a different world! Thank you for years of cuts.
