This salon is the best of the bunch in the area! I drive 3 extra miles past my closer Supercuts location to come here and it's definitely worth the extra six or seven minutes. Seems like there's never an inordinate wait, and when you check in online the wait times shown are accurate. I've managed to get a lunchtime cut more than once, getting back to work on time and looking good. I have had color done here as well and I am very pleased with the carefulness and quality every time. I feel welcome, never rushed, and the stylist gives me undivided attention. My go-to stylists are Ana and Dalia both of whom take all the time needed to clearly understand what their customer wants, and they deliver. Have no fear when you come here. They will give thoughtful product recommendations but never a high pressure pitch to upsell you. There's plenty of parking and always an adequate number of stylists on hand. I always go to the Long Beach location, but decided to give this location a try being it's closer to where I reside. After reading reviews, I decided to try Dalia for a wash, cut and blow. WHAT A MISTAKE! Let me tell you she gave me the WORST haircut ever!! The sides of my hair are so uneven and one side is thicker than the other. Isn't that the first thing AN EXPERIENCED hairdresser does; measure the sides to make sure they are the same length. That's after I pointed it out to her and told her the sides aren't even!! Then she attempted to make them even, just making it worse and after doing so she asked me if they were even now? I asked her if she's the hairdresser or am I? I came in today for a cut and color. Got to my car after the appointment and noticed only half of some of the grey strands were colored and the bottom half wasn't and was still silver/grey. I should have gone back in and complained but I was already irritated having sat with this color in my hair for almost an hour while the stylist took other customers to clear out the waiting area and didnt once come back to check on me. I really like Supercuts. I've been going there for years. I really like getting my hair done by Aurora. She does a great job and is always so nice to talk to. I believe she only works on the weekends though because she works somewhere else during the week. Over the years I've had my hair glazed there and many pretty haircuts. Of course it is very reasonable and that was the initial reason I went but the service and quality are great. I always feel very comfortable there and the staff are so welcoming. Sometime I walk in and other times I make an appointment. However, they are great about fitting in customers who don't have an appointment/walk-ins. Step right into that chair and you will walk out looking just like that. When you are sitting in that chair you question if your barber has ever even cut anyone else's hair. The workers there can not under stand what "just a trim to cut of the dead ends" means so they cut off half your hair. I would like to talk about Ana. Ana is one of the workers at supercuts. Ana should be fired and never be allowed to cut anyone's hair including herself again. Ana clearly should not have tried to try being a hair stylist and she should have just stuck to leading arendele. This is a decent location. The two women working on Sunday were friendly. It was my daughter's first time getting her hair cut at a salon. Previously my mom had trimmed her bangs and hair. I was excited for a professional to do it. I know I asked for my daughter's bangs to be super short and I was good with the woman's work until she decided to layer her bangs. Now they look a little silly but oh well it's hair and it'll grow back. It was $25 for each of us. I think that's a little much for my daughter considering she's 4 and the sign said under 12 should be $18. But they have multiple layers of what you pay for and get. When I called I said I wanted a cut. I don't know any other place that doesn't include a wash in that. My understanding is that wet hair is easier to cut. Oh well whatever. I had a wonderful haircut by a very kind, warm and skilled hairstylist tonight, Ana. She prefaced the cut with an amazing hair wash -- super relaxing, perfect pressure, great temperature, and loved the product she used. Then the haircut was great -- ideal amount of time and she took a lot of small measures that made all the difference, for example, wrapping a towel tie around my neck and under my shirt to keep dry from my wet hair; working through some serum at the end; etc. She was pleasant to speak with and made my hair look amazing! I only had the dead ends off (about 2 inches) but it makes such a big difference with how my hair feels and looks. Much healthier! Highly recommend Ana. read more

I had a 1pm appointment. When I arrived early, there 2 customers with socks on and a male getting a haircut. The beautician cutting his hair had a mask and no gloves on.I asked why no gloves? It was my second time visiting this business. No wait-which was awesome because I was in a hurry. My first experience was fine. The sylist was friendly and took me in right away. RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! I recently went with my 10yr old to get a trim. He had the normal amount of gel in his hair. This has never EVER been a problem- our usual stylist will use the water bottle- give a spray and a wipe and then cut. Today Anna declared his hair was dirty and would break her scissors and that we must pay for a wash. He was MORTIFIED- and I felt bullied into services. Back in late September of 2017 I came in for a trim with some medium layers added. The stylist there Neil did my cut. There was something a bit off about him however I didn't ignored my initial reaction which I wish I never did. When I told him what I wanted he kept giving me different suggestions on which was far from what I wanted. He got frustrated and then continued to to cut my hair. As he was cutting I noticed it was really short and I stopped him and he stated "oh you're going to keep your length this is just for your layers." He then continued and the manger screamed what are you doing to her hair!" He yelled "she wanted it like this" I screamed no!!!!! He ended up ruining my beautiful long hair and cut it so short. The prices were a bit higher than I hoped they were be but the quality of care of the place is so superior to Lemon Tree where we were going before. The place is cleaned after every cut. They have beautiful stations and the staff on Saturdays is patient, kind and most of all polite. The shampoo is definitely also better quality. It's you get what you pay for. Unfortunately it's not in our budget so we'll be looking for a different Lemon Tree than we were going to before but I recommend this place. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." At this Supercuts, you'd count your lucky stars to get an iota of the value of a $20 wash and cut. I stopped in for a cut and was greeted by a stylist multitasking as a receptionist, it seemed. I asked if they accept walk-ins and if i would be able to get a trim. The stylist-receptionist informed me Supercuts services walk-ins only and does not take appointments, per se, though I can reserve a preferred time slot online to ensure a stylist would be available when I come in. Sounds great. He then asked me when I washed my hair. It was Sunday morning. I washed my hair Friday. He said I would have to get my hair washed to get a cut. I asked if it was absolutely necessary as I recently experienced a 2 year long bout of alopecia and have been on a rigid regimen of treatment shampoo and conditioner. He responded that Supercuts has a policy against cutting dirty hair and asked if I would reimburse him $xxx for his shears as it was clearly obvious cutting my dirty hair would ruin the blades. I conceded at this point as he offered to wash my hair with tea tree shampoo which I've used before. Fast forward through the wash to the haircut. I asked for a trim to even out my layers. He snipped away at my hair in the bank until the hairs were so short the shears weren't catching enough length to cut. He took a buzzer and began to shave off inches. I froze to remain as still as humanly possible to prevent any shudders that might cause an unfortunate slip and a bald snap. After what felt like hours on end, he put the buzzer down and resumed his work with the shears. I had my eyes closed throughout the ordeal and opened them when he began to blowdry and brush my hair. He gushed about how beautiful of a job he had done and how I would most definitely be blown away to see my hair from the back. He handed me a mirror and spun me around. The back looked fine. Even. No bald patches. Internal sigh of relief. I thanked him. Spun back around. He picked up a brush and asked me to hold still a second so he could tuck in a couple of stray hairs. That's when I noticed there was a front section of my hair on the right that was visibly longer than everywhere else. An obvious inch longer. I brought this to his attention and he immediately became defensive. "It's just the way your hair is styled." My hair was parted down the middle where he spent 5 minutes prior to picking up the shears parting and re-parting because it was imperative the part was centered. At this point, I just wanted to get out of there. I knew I was headed straight to another salon to fix the fiasco that was my hair. I assume it was just happenstance I found myself under the shears of this one particular Supercuts employee. This one poor experience is more than enough to have me steer far and clear. read more

Been a loyal patron for years , however staff always changing and now taking reservations. On my last visit the store was empty and I showed up with my two children. I was told that a reservation was made for someone in 15 minutes and even though they were not there yet and might not even show up there was no way they could begin my child. Absolutely an attitude of laziness and poor customer service pervades the salon- we waited 55 mins for a haircut even with our name in the computer register. One of the hairdressers know we had been waiting and then went off on her break. They should let you know on the phone that it is no longer walk in service and even if you have an appointment, you will likely not be seen earlier than the time regardless of the customer traffic. read more

Part of the problem of supercuts is that there is never a consistency with the staff. Sometimes there's a man, who can't cut women's hair, sometimes there's a woman who does a mediocre job, and once in a while there's someone who does a fabulous job.
