My first trip to Insight today was for the hair wash treatment only. I just really craved a good, thorough hair washing and scalp massage, and while the experience fell a LITTLE short of my expectations based on the reviews, given the price it was pretty good. I saw other women getting more extended treatments, and I realized after that they must have gotten add-on scalp treatments and massages. I may give those a try next time I just want a wash, but I am definitely coming back for a cut and will give a fuller review of the experience when I do. read more

I've been coming to this salon on and off for a while (maybe 8-9 visits), and at first the service was actually really good. But the last 3 times? Honestly... it's gone downhill bad. They NEVER do what I ask for. And I don't mean slightly off, I mean completely not what I requested. On top of that, I've gotten snarky comments about the haircut I wanted, which is just unnecessary. If you don't think a style will work, that's fine, talk it through, but don't make me feel stupid for asking. I've also noticed they always sit me in the chair closest to the door, which feels like the trainee chair. I completely understand people need to learn, but that should be something you ASK the client about, not just do it and charge full price like it's an experienced stylist. The last time I went, my hair was cut so uneven I literally had to fix it myself at home. And to make it worse, I had an event that same night... I couldn't even wear my hair the way I planned. (see attached picture) Also, I noticed Rick is no longer there, and honestly, it shows. The quality just isn't the same anymore. Super disappointing experience overall. I went here for my first time, and I will never go again. I arrived at the time of my appointment and they put three of their "regular" customers before me. I was waiting for over 20 minutes, and ended up having to leave before even getting my hair done. I asked multiple times when I would be taken, and they were very rude unprofessional. I was trying it out due to the low price for a blow out but would much rather pay a little more money and have better customer service. Would not recommend this place. It's hard to rate this salon as per I mainly go for roots, wash and blow dry. I have also done some trimming on my ends and I was very pleased with my service. It's simple and gets the job done for a reasonable price. My favorite is their hair wash service as they provided scalp massage, a ten minute shoulder and arms massage, as well as a quick facial, all while laying on a chair during the hair wash. This is mainly why I like ro come here. Their prices are also very reasonable. But as per hairstyles I'm not quite sure if this is the place to go but for simple hair coloring and trimming I would definitely recommend. I have been going here for a few years and basically was happy. priced good and convenient location for me. Recently, I'd ask for a good trim about 1 1/2 "s and they wouldn't listen. I make an appt, soon get hair washed and sit in back and watch others go ahead of me. They would try to get me to go to someone else. Today , I had an appt for 10:30. They do a very good job for a very good price, but they can be very rude. I don't even know if they realize how rude they are, but they definitely need help in the customer service department. The way they make appointments makes no sense, because I'll make an appointment with no one in particular (just to make sure I have an appointment) but they will let someone walk in and be done before you and when you ask why, they say because you made an appointment time and you have to wait until that time. The only reason I'm going there is because they wash my hair really good and they get it more straight than any other salon. Also, the prices can't be beat. Beware of getting talked into getting special treatments or special shampoos. I said yes (I guess) to the shampoo lady because I couldn't understand what she was saying and I payed $6 more for special shampoo. I also got some kind of weird massage that I definitely didn't say yes to, but she got a little too close to my boobs and it was just weird. I'll take a shoulder massage any day, but I'm not interested in my chest or boobs being touched lol. It was my first time so now I know what I'm in for next time. If you want a real salon experience that you can talk to the hairdresser and get a response back that you can understand, don't go here, but if you want a blowout or a full head of curls for under $30 and you don't mind the bs then it's worth going here. read more

Hair washing gals are good, work for their tip however never see anyone sanitizing anything or changing gloves.. gross I have tried different stylists here but this weekend will be my last time going here. I would love to try this salon but only after getting some pricing info for their services. However, their "website" is just a shell and contains no info. I found them on Facebook, sent them two messages requesting pricing but never got a reply in English - only received Asian writing/characters which I did not understand. I finally called and requested pricing info, and the person answering said I should make an appointment. I told her I wouldn't make one until I knew how much they would charge. I asked for their price for a touch up with a blowout for short hair. She started to quote a number of prices but I could not understand what services the prices referred to, due to her very pronounced Asian accent. I apologized and respectfully asked her to please repeat the info, but it was no clearer the second time. I am reluctant to even go in and try their salon because I don't want to suffer from sticker shock when they tally up my bill. Not a very respectable place to go to! They cut my 14 yr granddaughter's hair 5 inches instead of what she asked, 2 inches!! Needless to say she was so upset!! horrible I went in to get a haircut before summer I asked for 2 inches off and layers. instead I got 5 inches off! I have curly hair so when it dries I get about 3 inches of shrinkage so my hair now almost goes up to my shoulders when it used to go down to my chest. I had a 1:00 appointment for a wash and blowout. They took me promptly to wash my hair. While waiting for my blow out a women came in for a wash and blowout without an appointment. She was told it would be at least a half hour wait. She waited. Another woman came in for the same thing and also has a 1;00 appointment. Both of these women were taken ahead of me. When I questioned him I was told that they knew who they wanted to do their blowouts, so they go first. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. My son asked for his hair cut a certain way. Top cut with it shorter on the side. Not shaved. The guy started cutting and then shaved his the side of his head. It was nothing how he asked. He was visibly upset and told the hair dresser he cut it too short and didn't listen to him. It wasn't even straight. The hair dresser then told him, well maybe it's time for a new hair cut. Do not come here! The workers were very rude including the manager. At first refused to wash and blow out my clip in extensions than the manager told me this time only. They rushed and did a half sorry job. They kept telling me I should have come in earlier, but they allowed me to make the appointment one hour before closing. The vibe was off, I felt them being judgmental. It was not cheap either and I need to go get my hair fixed someone else. They cut my bangs horribly and jagged.
