My daughters and I have been coming to this establishment for several years now. I actually prefer this Supercuts compared to the one in Los Angeles because the parking is better, they don't try to convince you to buy products, and their hair coloring prices seem cheaper than the one in Los Angeles. I needed a dye job BADLY. I was near the area. Called and she was able to take me in the same day. She did a good job getting rid of my grey and she also did a good job washing my hair. This place gets two stars: one for easy parking and one because the shampoo and rinse portion of the service was decent. However, I will never go there again. They misquoted the price when I called in advance, so I ended up paying a lot more. When I raised the issue during my appointment, I was told each Supercuts charges different prices and that the person who answers calls "doesn't know" because "she just works at the call center." If that is true, why is there a call center for the franchise? Shouldn't each Supercuts location answer its own calls if it functions independently? I have NEVER paid this much for a wash and blow dry - it was almost double what I pay at my usual salon (which sadly did not have availability on short notice, so I ended up here). On top of that, the woman who worked on my hair (Jasmen) had a horrible attitude and did not say "thank you" when I paid. She did, however, state that I have "lots of broken hairs" because she was incapable of smoothing down the flyaways (no other stylist has ever had this issue with my hair by the way). It was a rude and tactless thing to say, as I am recovering from considerable hair loss following a traumatic event and the "broken hairs" are actually new hairs that are growing in. Overall, this was a terrible experience and a ripoff as well. If I never see Jasmen again, it will be too soon. read more

Supercuts in La Cañada, CA has a bizarre, irresponsible understanding of adhering to appoint times. When I arrived today at Supercuts for my 2:05 appointment, a person was seated in the appointed stylist's chair, and apparently the stylist had just started on him. After waiting until 20 minutes after my appointment time, I walked out without a haircut. Moreover, today was the SECOND SUCH OCCURRENCE over my last three attempts to schedule an appointment. A dissembling stylist near the cash register "explained " some gobbledygook about how to avoid a potential scheduling conflicts. I replied that I'm not interested in avoiding anything. When service provider sets an appointment, I expect the service to be consistently delivered at or within a reasonable time after the appointment time--with exceptions to physicians. It beggars any understanding that somebody could set a process for appointments, implying, reasonable adherence to the schedule, while really not giving a damn. I shall take my business elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to this Super Cuts for YEARS with my daughter who has Down Syndrome. The staff are always friendly, kind and patient with my daughter. The last time we went to Super Cuts Ana recommended that I use a special cradle cap baby shampoo on Sarah's flakey scalp. Sure enough!!! Her scalp has greatly improved since we started using the shampoo. I highly recommend this business that makes each person feel important. read more

Wow, the worst haircut I ever had. Cut my hair like a man's cut which (will now take forever to grow out) and then does not blow out unless I pay an additional 30 for blow out. ANA is racist with her own kind(she is Hispanic)! My mom once went to get a hair cut with her and my mom told her she was interested in dying her hair brown. She had told my mother that they didn't have regular brown hair dye but that when they did have it she would call my mom....weeks passed and so my mom decided to call her because maybe she had forgotten and Ana said they still didn't have that color. So my mom asked if she could just then make an appointment for a haircut and she said it doesn't work like that so we went online and scheduled it with ANA and then Ana said she couldn't attend my mother. My mother asked if the BROWN hair dye had arrived and she said not yet. She clearly just didn't want to do my mothers hair. It was so sad. To test out I had someone else make an appointment and she was available. Sad sad. My mom was excited because she had read reviews that Ana would be a great hair stylist but she was wrong. I've been here off and on for years; I love how Anna and Amy cut my hair. I needed a quick clean up cut for a work event and stopped in, unfortunately my regular girls were not there so I let Jazmine cut my hair, the cut was way way shorter than I asked for, I had even showed her a photo. I came in for a flashback to color out my gray. The coloring was subtle and worked great as a flashback to get the gray covered up. Unfortunately they changed the brand and now the coloring doesn't hold well at all. The first two days it looked good as always. The third day when I shampooed with a color magnetics shampoo it washed enough of it out that people. It iced from one day to the next. The coloring lasted 3-4 days. I was traveling for work so couldn't come back and now ten days later it's back to gray again. They say it's supposed to last 5-6 weeks but didn't even last a week. I asked if they can try it again because it didn't work but they said they would have to charge me. So disappointed since I've been coming here for years. Time to look elsewhere. read more

I've had the hardest time finding someone to cut my hair in the exact way that I would do it in many high end salons and I need not look any further! I went in for a haircut on March 8th and requested the woman (who'll I'll not name) that got the best reviews... She is tall, blond wavy hair, Armenian and she is not Angie or Anna! I sat down & told her I'd like my hair cut to my chin, but did not want my neck shaved.... That caused an argument, because she insisted that she was going to shave my neck, so I got up and told her: "I'm leaving, you're not going to cut my hair!" Oh, but then she agreed to just trim my hair line! What the hell is so difficult to do as a customer asks? Then, she cut my hair in a manner that left it uneven, so when I got home I had to trim/even it myself. Seriously, if you're not going to bother to take the time to do your work correctly or take pride in doing a good job why would I ever go back? I'm not going back..... This person should NOT be cutting hair, I unfortunately didn't get her name. I have never seen a worse haircut on a 15 year old boy. She doesn't know how to do a fade, she doesn't know how to cut in a straight line. My hair cut was horrible. I asked for curten bangs and they cut it way to short and the bangs were extremely uneven with one side being longer than the other. The layers are extremely choppy and there was no blending done. I had asked for face framing layers but yet I didn't get any. They also cut way too much of my hair off and the shape of my hair from the back is even worse. I have to go somewhere to get it fixed now. Don't go, I do not recommend. read more

Well. I've been there a handful of times with numerous different "stylists" each one worse that the last. Yesterday I got my haircut by someone as enthusiastic about their job as a roll of toilet paper. I wasn't greeted, she asked my name then took two phone calls that lasted 6 minutes. She said "okay" and walked away, then pointed to the chair like she was upset that she was about to slaughter me. I sat and showed her what I wanted for my haircut and she just looked at my phone and didn't say anything. It wasn't anything wacky, I wanted it short on the sides and back with a shorter fade. She then spent about 15 seconds with old buzzers hacking at the back of my head, then the sides. I've had my haircut before and like most people I know what it feels like the have your hair cut and when you know it's done. She ended the cut about 10 minutes too early. She then used thinning out scissors on the sides AND THAT WAS IT. She didn't attempt to even anything out, or EVEN WET MY HAIR TO CUT IT. She showed me the back of my head with a mirror and it wasn't even close to done, nor was the next time she went back at it. The third time she showed me the back of my head I just called it a day. I paid (and left a tip because I'm dumb) and got in my car and left. I had to go home and finish my $30 haircut with a beard trimmer. I honestly thought I was on a hidden camera show. Avoid the catatonic women with long black hair and orangish lipstick, you'll know who she is the second she opens her mouth to make you think you're ruining her day by being there. read more

For the first time ever I got a haircut under 10 minutes. The lady cutting my hair barely even asked me for input and sloppily gave me the "Supercut". You are way better off going with a true barber that cares about his/her clients over old ladies that are used to cutting geriatric hair. Avoid Supercuts at all cost and for the love of God make sure you are able to communicate with you hairdresser beforehand. Never again Supercuts, never again. read more

I went to the La Canada location Aug. 18 to have my roots dyed and a week later, after I washed it ONCE, the grey hairs completely grew out. And the woman who dyed my hair (Russian, with short blonde hair) was distracted because she was training another employee. Total waste of money. Been going here for a few years to mediocre results. If you want a quick haircut you should come, otherwise go somewhere else.

The app doesn't allow you to adjust your time if you're going to be late and then makes it seem as if your still checked in. The manager at this location wasn't helpful and didn't give a good solution and therefore she said we had to wait which would've been over an hour. It's too bad as this incident will now force us to look for a new place to get our kids hair cut. Supercuts app is not a good source for allowing you to adjust your time if "life" occurs and you need to switch out the time. read more
