This was a disappointment. My stylist left the island so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm still in the market. Haircut was a total of 18 minutes from walking in to walking out. And she answered the phone twice during this and booked appointments. No wash. No style. I don't even think a brush out. Just a dry haircut. If I wanted a 'super cuts ' I would have went to Kona and not blocked out an hour of my day and left work early. I'm actually just dumbfounded that she thought this was what an adult would want. Don't bother. This salon will not honor online appointments made one day ahead of time, even when confirmed via email. They request you not make appointments online at all Including same day appointments and ask you to call on the day you'd like to get your hair cut. When this locations makes appointments and allows online check-ins, they do not honor either. They prioritize walk-ins over everyone. About 4 months ago, I made an online appointment. When I went to check in, they claimed they didn't have my info. They proceeded to make another appointment for me for an hour later. When I went back, they told me since I never confirmed, they skipped me. I was early! Yesterday, I made two appointments today for my child and me. We arrived ten minutes before our first appointment. Understandably, they are taking care of other customers who arrived before us. We wait, other customers stop and check in after we have been waiting for nearly 20 minutes. When the stylist is done stuffing what food she had left in her mouth, she overlooked me and my child completely and goes to the next appointment. I verbalized my concern. Big mistake! Don't voice your mistake. The are rude and unprofessional. Both times, they laughed at my child and me. I tried to call later to get the supervisor's name and was hung up on by the location, TWICE! The second time, before she hung up on me, I asked her if she treats all her customers like this. She, again, laughed, and said, "You are not my customer!" Of course, I am not! They get a 1 Star for availability. The girl (won't call her a stylist) had my back facing the mirror when she buzzed my hair. Asked for a #2. Didn't ask me to lift the elastic from my mask nor did she move it. I was in total shock when she turned me to face the mirror! Nothing against a military buzz but that's not what I asked for. My granddaughter wanted to have texture added to her bangs.......stay away. The other gal doesn't know how to "professionally" texture with straight scissors. She uses the "goody" scissors you can buy at the drug store. Oh and they don't tell you they're whacking each customer with a $3.98 "sanitation" charge on top off your haircut. It all started because I was in desperate need of a haircut --- my son and I both were so we wandered into the Supercuts in Kamuela. The staff was warm and welcoming and much to our amusement assumed we lived in the area! I guess they don't get a lot of vacationers in here! I had a lot of fun talking my stylist ---- she filled me in on different parts of the island, sharing details like where people live, where the jobs are, etc. (Did you know a lot of people buy homes in Hilo and commute to Kona, Waimea and Waikoloa?).
