I showed the owner a photo of what I hoped to achieve and she said it would not be a problem. I made the appointment, went back a week later, and voila - she made it happen! This - after a series of other disappointing episodes with other significantly more expensive stylists. The sheer talent and competence of this artist was quickly evident and sooo reassuring. I returned for a second visit - which I rarely do. I just made an appointment for my 3rd visit, even tho this stylist is over 40 miles away. She's just that good. Phew!

Sadly, their lovely and talented associate hairdresser Sue passed away in October 2012. Dana and Stella are excellent stylists who are always busy. Dana has done my hair since 2003 or 2004, when she worked at the Paul Brown Spa at the Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel. She moved to various salons in Waimea, then opened her own business here. Dana cuts my hair with precision and flair, and colors it impeccably. Her skill is equivalent to the stylists that I frequented in Union Square, San Francisco, before I moved to the Big Island. My hair style and color look great all the time. I receive compliments about my hair routinely. The salon also offers nail services. Prices here are fair, and the service is top notch! The clientele ranges from local paniolo (cowboys) to upscale resort dwellers. On occasion, a client or visitor will entertain the shop singing along to his ukulele.
