Colin did such a great job that he is now our designated family stylist. The Fix Lounge is clean, comfortable, and cool and Colin is funny and easygoing. (His wife Maren, a makeup artist, is just as friendly.) He has years of schooling and experience and is very serious about hair. Super professional. It's one thing for a cosmetic artist to be very skilled and talented in their work...it's another when that stylist also has a knack for teaching clients and being a source of reliable information regarding proper hair care. I left Cheryls chair not only with a fabulous haircut that flatters my face and hair type but I also know more about how to care for my mane than I ever knew before. I have done it all to my hair....it's been long it's been short, it's been all sorts of colors. Some intentional and some not lol...I thought I knew what was up but what I didn't know was that without the information Cheryl gave me yesterday - I was not able to fully gain the benefits of all of my previous hair escapades because I was not giving my hair the proper care on the home front. I was damaging my own hair with flawed brushing techniques and I was even using the incorrect brush for my hair type, she taught me how to baby step up to not washing my hair but once or twice a week to preserve the hair cuticle....I had never known correct washing needs for my type of hair... I called her and she had already closed for the day, but she came back to give me my haircut anyways. She gave me a good haircut for $20, and most importantly, my girlfriend approved. It was a little shorter than I intended but it came out quite nice and I looked sharp for my presentation :-). First, they were prompt and on-time, even with all the movement they were so calm, professional and a pleasure to work with. We felt so at home and at peace with them as if we knew them all of our lives. Jeanette is a wizard with the make-up she works miracles PERIOD and gets you magazine ready! My fiance had one request and that was natural make-up only, he made sure to drive that point home. Jeanette did exactly that made me look naturally flawless and he was sooooo happy to see me when I approached him at the alter! Eric, is a photography master, we cant even believe the finished product. We are beyond pleased and could not have asked for a better team. My pictures are absolutely breathtaking and captured my pre-wedding moments so elegantly. I felt so beautiful and magazine perfect. My only issue is that they live in Hawaii and I couldn't smuggle them back to California to be my personal beauty and photography team. We were very, very, very happy and not to mention beautiful campers. Empty promises and unreturned phone calls and emails. At this point I too am considering legal action. Update (I should have done this earlier): after several months, we finally received our photos. Since then, several other people have reached out to me to share that they have had similar experiences. The photos turned out excellent, but the post-event experience and lack of communication was dreadful.

So yesterday, after a multi month delay due to the corona virus, I went in to see Zemira. Instead of a touch up, we were starting from scratch again. It's flipping gorgeous.
