Went to Susana for a haircut. She's a smooth talker, all talk -- but doesn't know how to give a professional cut or professional experience. Still tipped her over 20%, not because she deserved it but because we felt sorry for her. After 20 yrs of haircutting experience, she should know better, but she did not do better. read more

Both Susana and Myra are amazing, warm people with incredible artistic gifts and instincts when it comes to taking care of your hair. I love them both. When I first came to understand that Myra couldn't be in all the time because she's now training others for Supercuts, I was completely distressed because I'd come to rely on her talents and how comforting it was to hangout with her while she was coloring my hair. One afternoon after not being able to get an appointment. with Myra, I couldn't hide how upset I was from Susana who encouraged me (so kindly,) to just give her a chance to take care of my hair. I've been to this location a number of times and even brought my kid. The ladies here do a wonderful job but this time a man did my hair and it's so terrible I just had to leave because I was so upset inside. I asked for layers and they are a mess. This is a very professional expert place when it comes to doing hair. Josephine and Christina are amazingly good! However, when it comes to the things for which the upper management is responsible, SHAME ON THEM! The bathroom toilet seat has been broken for over 1 year. It doesn't stay up, it is half off the hinges, and its underside is filthy. The light is dim too, which makes the bathroom look dingy and unclean. At another location I was told that they no longer pay their employees for holidays, and the $50 dinner bonus at year end is gone too. It seems Supercuts is in financial trouble and their solution is to abuse their employees and customers. read more

While I don't normally get my haircut at a place like Supercuts, this location was convenient to where I was staying and all other places were either closed or just about to close in the vicinity. I was fortunate to walk here and get a cut within 15 minutes. Anaid took care of me and was very nice and friendly the entire time, making sure that my hair cut preferences were met. The vibe in here was nice and I was honestly had little to no expectations because a lot of people I encountered during at the Grove, Westfield Mall, and somewhere else were rude to us. Being in Hollywood, and knowing the kind of interesting and crazy individuals they might get from time to time, I was assuming the staff here might end up rude. I was proven wrong! I have known Josephine for years and recommended her highly to my family and friends. Unfortunately, my good relationship with her ended this Saturday. I made an appointment for 2:30pm. Once arrived, the lady at the desk said "your appointment was at 2pm". My boyfriend responded to her "no, it was at 2:30pm, I was there when she made it." Honestly, it didn't even bother me to wait for Josephine, so I waited 30 minutes and I guess she "squeezed" me between other customers because this is when I started to feel how stressed she was. I showed her pictures of the cut I wanted and I could already feel I was a burden for her. I would have MUCH appreciated if she had said "Honey, this is a pretty important cut and we should reschedule, I'll give you a discount for the scheduling mistake", but no, she "attempted" to cut my hair the way I wanted it. In the middle of the cut, she left to finish another customer. Then an angry entitled customer who waited only 5 minutes was staring at her angrily and she then took all his anger on me. She said "ok, that's it? Do you like it?" pressing me to leave and I was like "huh...no, could you please do the back like the picture? Just a little shorter?", then she went on to explain to me "that Supercuts are for "fast" cuts and she can't spend an hour with someone" which was very rude of her to tell me because I waited 30 minutes for her to cut my hair, then waited more, with my head tilted, in the middle of my cut for her to finish another customer and she had been cutting my hair for 20 minutes max at that point. When I tried to communicate to her that just like her other customers I also had to wait, she kept saying that the receptionist is great (implying I was lying?) and not even once she validated the scheduling error and how it impacted my day. I even suggested to wait MORE so she can take that angry customer right away and she answered "...what? No! I will be here all night and I didn't even take my break yet." Furthermore, when I asked her to please do a little more cutting, she added that "they work for tips, so spending all this time here doesn't make sense." Huh? I knew my cut required a little more then just using a buzzer for 5 minutes on a guy's head, so I intended to tip her appropriately, therefore her comment was hurtful and very unprofessional. I have known Josephine for years and she is a very nice person, but the last cut I did notice that she gets annoyed cutting any other hair besides short hair on men. And I am aware that this past Saturday she was swamped and feeling her other customers' frustrations, but it doesn't justify the way she treated me. She essentially shooed me away and didn't finish the cut. Today, I had to go to another hair salon and pay for someone else to finish her job. Definitely not acceptable. Quick and easy visit to this location. I usually go to the locations in West Hollywood, but I was in the area waiting on my tires to be done. It was super convenient, and I was able to walk over and get a haircut. I totally forgot to get the name of the woman who cut my hair. There was a brief wait while she finished up with her customer. She was friendly, and did a great job cutting my hair. This was on a Friday morning. Parking is easy. Private lot, but it's closely monitored. You'll see the lot "monitor" walking around the parking lot with a camera, taking pictures of the vehicles in the lot. I'm guessing they call for vehicles to be towed after an hour. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! Ruined my hair. Charged me $23 dollars, told me in a rude way they didn't know how to do a line up, or fade, or the type of hairstyle I was asking for. My friend and I got there on time. Josephene says I can't come in, I wait. After I was let in, my friend was told to wait even though we both had 4:30PM appointments. One person who is in line after her, who's appointment is at 5PM is let in by Josephene and tells my friend that they should have verified. I ask my hair dresser if we needed to call, she states that if we had our appointment online she can be seen soon. Josephene stops cutting her current clients hair to answer the phone and tells the person over the phone that they will be next. I pay and leave. read more

I love a bargain like the rest of us.. but this West Hollywood guy is very vain and the hair is super important..I moved to LA about 10 years ago and went to all the really expensive Beverly Hills salons along with referrals to all the " hip" hollywood places..Also A little background to really cement this review. i also of course went to the best of the best places in NYC. I have my fathers dark brown sicilian italian hair with a red under tone..I started getting gray at 20 years old.. and that was just not going to be ignored!! LOL... Short story... no matter where i went and no matter how much i expressed i did not want my hair dyed to my original brown.. i left every salon with freekin red showing thru... it made my blood boil... so after salon and salon out here.. i was ready to give up.. i was starving one day.. pulled in to the Dennys/ and afterwards.as i walked to my car i saw the Supercuts in the same shopping center. i figured at this point i would just get a hair cut and let them dye my hair red like everyone else for the time being... Well!!!!! Not only did i get an amazing cut for like 20 bucks.. when I usually spend like 75 to 100... they dyed my hair for 40 dollars more and i left with gorgeous natural dark brown!!! i know it was amazing because when I got home.. my doorman stopped me and asked where i got my hair done.. he was amazed how good it looked!! Go see Christina, the manager and the young amazing talent Denise and trust me you will leave there looking insane good and with paying like 50% less at least then you usually do... they also have great hair product.. Russian woman was super rude. I had told her I wanted to get rid of my split ends. She's like how many inches you want 5 or 3 inches and I was like I'm not sure what do you recommend. She's like well I don't know it's your hair. Super rude the whole time. Was already put in the chair ready to begin. She was still being really rude and I just got up and left.
