I asked for a cut and how much I wanted off the stylist took my ponytail and cut it off. Then continued to talk about how she couldn't wait to get off work and she wanted sushi. 300$ was spent on my hair for it to be not what I asked and for the experience in general to suck. Never will I go back. I wont even buy make up & hair products there. If they think its okay to hire someone like that to do peoples hair I dont want to support a business that thinks thats okay. I dont recommend it to anyone who has asked me. I would give zero stars.

My standards are high, as I've been getting my hair cut, styled, & colored in Chicago for 20+ years. A colleague recommended Danielle at Bridgewaters and I'm so glad she did! Danielle does a fabulous, professional job with color and especially with the haircut, as I like layers that accentuate the waves in my hair and make it easy to style. Danielle listens to all of my ideas and gives me exactly what I'm looking for--each and every time I go in. Darlene keeps the shop running, is fun and easy to talk to, and helped me navigate the online reservation system. Bridgewaters is a very special salon in the region--they perform their craft at a high level. And I am one grateful customer.

My own hair is getting a bit hard to find but Liberty cuts what can be cut and shaves the rest, resulting in a neat and clean look that I appreciate. On some days of the week Liberty is the only barber working in the shop. She dusts off her customer and her chair area for a few seconds after every cut, and stops to sweep away all the hair every three or four cuts, keeping the shop looking fresh and clean.

This salon is great overall, but there's one lady with red hair who is consistently rude. I don't…read moreknow her name, but the few times I've been here, she has always spoken to me like she's annoyed or angry. Her tone constantly comes across as rude and unwelcoming. The last time I called over the phone, she was rude then too. I thought maybe she would be nicer over the phone, but honestly, it was even worse. If you work with customers, especially potential clients, I feel like you should be mindful of the way you speak to them. Even if a customer makes a mistake or does something incorrectly, there's still a respectful way to communicate with them. Her tone always makes it seem like she's in a bad mood, both in person and over the phone. But when I see her with other client she's way different and nicer so I don't get it ? Even if that's her personality she needs to try to top the attitude down a notch. The only reason I continue coming back is because of Ivonne. She is amazing, very sweet, and makes the experience so much better. She is WAY kinder and more welcoming than the lady with the red hair. If you happen to get the lady with the red hair, just be aware that you may not have the best experience. I really hope she works on her attitude and the way she speaks to customers because it can definitely make people not want to come back. Sorry for the rant but it really irks me her acting like that. Other than that the salon is great ! Just not the lady with red hair.
