Th salon is located on Victoria Street in what used to be the Old Jehovah's Witnesses Hall. Now it looks like a funky new modern establishment. You can get most cuts done here for a reasonable price. A gents cut is about £14. This is not the cheapest for this area, however the service is good, so you definitely get what you paid for. If you prefer, you can have your hair cut by the same stylist, which is useful if you want someone to understand your hairstyle.

No consultation prior to wash - shown to dirty sink covered in hair dye from another customer, not offered tea or coffee although other customers were. I have thick, curly hair and the hairdresser didn't seem to know what to do with it (aside from asking a few times if I wanted it straight and pointing out that most people with curly hair who go to the salon choose to have it straightened-thereby inferring that I was out of touch and unfashionable)! No effort was made to style my hair. The only diffuser hairdryer in the salon broke a week before my visit (and had still not been replaced when I visited) so they were unable to dry my hair properly. I asked what the cost would be next time if I just have a wash and cut only leaving me to dry and style it myself in my own home - I was advised it would be the same price (£32). Is it too much to expect therefore to be able to walk out of a hairdresser with a finished hairstyle rather than having to go home to style and finish it myself?
