I went to Supercuts for a last minute haircut before Thanksgiving, asked for a 5 clip on the sides and my barber just decided to give a 2 clip. I'm confined to only wearing hats for the next few weeks now because not only did she completely disregard my instructions and picture, but she messed up my hairline. Part of me thinks that my Supercuts barber was drunk because she slurred her words and kept dropping the buzzer. I wish I could remember my barbers name so I could recommend avoiding her. I recently visited this Supercuts location and was incredibly disappointed, not only with the hair cuts, but how the management handled the situation. My Mother, Sister, and I went in for haircuts for a weekend event. My Mom presented a photo of what she wanted, and she got that haircut, but shorter than she asked for. My Sister and I both had a different stylist, who apparently was focused more on speed than quality. My sister had long hair and wanted it cut to shoulder length. It looked fine at first, but when it dried at home it was extremely uneven, with random hairs sticking out. It was almost as if she just bunched her hair up and cut it in one snip. Mine looked ok at first as well, until I got photos back from the weekend event. The back of my head was all patchy, with banding lines going across the back of my head. There was even a section where a tuft of hair was completely missed so I have a patch of 4 inch long hair when the rest of my cut was much shorter. Honestly, it's the worst haircut I've ever had. I contacted the Store and talked to Norma, the manager. No responsibility was taken, she was defensive about cutting the hair exactly as was asked (it wasn't). I wanted a refund, she got off the phone with me, called her regional supervisor, Lisa, and called me back and said she could not authorize a refund but she was authorized to give us 3 free haircut vouchers. She called me later that day to let me know that the voucherS (plural) were there, and that she was putting THEM in an envelope for me. I arrived to pick them up. There was 1 in the envelope and she said she was only authorized for 1, not 3. I said she told me there was 3 of them and she answered "that was before I talked to my supervisor". (Funny, she told me she called the supervisor and that Lisa authorized the 3). So now the story changed so either the previous conversation was a lie or between the time we talked and I picked them up, they were given to someone else. Oh, she also told me the banding in the back of my head was just "my neck wrinkles". Never in my life have I had those lines before...so if it's from my neck wrinkles than that means the stylist did not straighten my head out and cut it evenly. Judging by the patchy job...I'm not surprised. Extremely unhappy about wasting a trip, I got home and discovered that the one voucher...had expired 2 years ago. I called back and was told "oh no, that's what was sent me to". She had Lisa, the regional manager call me and leave me a message. I called back and she was not available to talk that she was in the car (her voicemail said she'd be at the office until 6pm and I called at 5:20.). She said she'd call back shortly. Never did. I called the next day, the phone ring was cut short and I was sent to voicemail. I left a message. Never got a return call. So unless you like poor haircuts, refusal of responsibility, being lied to about vouchers and then having the voucher expired, and the managers dodging your calls...I'd skip this store and go to Hair Cuttery instead. Supercuts is a great place to get a fast haircut. They are cheap ($15.00) efficient and friendly. You can get a nice shampoo for no extra and they do your haircut just the way you ask. For the basic men's haircut they charge $15; I've returned several times due to the low price, low-to-no waiting time, quick cut and perfect result. Granted, I'm male with 40% of the hair I had as a teen and I get the cop-cut #1.5 with the "machine," but the one guy they have working here (amongst a remainder of females; he's not the only employee) is really a perfectionist and makes sure everything looks good and clean- plus he's funny as hell. read more

Wowwww by far the most ridiculous hair cut I've ever received in my life? I had to tell them how to cut hair? I repeated myself 10x on what to do only for it to not be done? If you get your hair cut and you normally comb your hair back? Why would someone cut the front of your hair 1/2" long? Omg this is such a disaster I'll never set foot inside a Supercuts again! The address is wrong. This is in the Mission Bay Plaza at Glades & SR-7. Horrible place. I've had my haircut when I'm in a hurry at many a Supercuts across this Nation (no kidding, from TX to CA to OH), but this was by far my worst experience. The receiptionist was unfriendly and looked really put-out when I dared to come into the store as she was trying to catch a cigarrette break. Not a problem for me, I could have written my name on the list all by myself. I do have that talent in my repertoire. Then, after waiting 20min, they called two people who had arrived after me, without any explanation. I just left. My recommendation to this store: lose the receptionist. All the other Supercuts I've been to had the stylists do the register and sign-in/call out names. That works fine. They should hire another stylist, as they seem to be quite busy. This is really the worst place to cut your hair. I take my son and the one on Yamato seems to be better. I've now switched to hair cuttery because this super cuts is very disorganized. I always call ahead to get my name on the list but there is always a 45-1 hour wait. Today I called ahead and they had 5 people ahead of me including a blow out. This is a chain that has some very good and some ordinary hair cutters. This particular branch is very pleasant, clean, attractive and offers very discounted prices. I have used this chain many times and have had a range of experiences but since it is so reasonable and efficient (they are paid so little they don't waste any time), that I return since I have a very simple cut and have such thin hair. This time I had an excellent cut and I would highly recommed this person and the place...her name is Luz and she has worked for the Supercuts group in NY and environs and is very pleasant, experienced and talented. I give this place 0 stars. I went in for eyebrow waxing and a "stylist" (a Hispanic either Peruvian or Colombian) almost took 1/3 of my eyebrow with wax. I asked her to do a style that my eyebrows would like not too thin or too thick. The first eyebrow she did it very thin so I let it go but when she got to the second eyebrow it was thicker than the other. Then she told me that she would add more wax and I told her not to, but she kept insisting so after she convinced me she went ahead and added more wax. Next thing when I looked in the mirror a piece of the inner corner of the eyebrow was missing! I left crying and she laughed at my face. Such horrible experience....first and last time I go there. Plus when I sat for the waxing, she kept asking me personal information. Horrible person. read more

I went to Supercut for a quick blow dry, since I live nearby and I didn't have time to go to my hairdresser. It was immediately obvious that the lady who started drying my hair ( her name is Lucy) didn't have a clue about the basics of blowdrying. She kept rolling section of hair with the left hand while balancing the blow drier with the other hand. After a while I tried to show her how to do it, but she was openly disappointed by that. At the end she was plain rude. She told me that if I wanted a better blowdrying I should have gone to a fancy hairdresser! Problem is they Did charge me like a fancy hairdresser: 40$ for shampoo and blowdrying. It was a bad experience. I'll never go back read more

Norma has been my stylist for about 3 years. I live in Pompano Beach, 40 minutes away from the Boca store and work in Doral 90 minutes away. I know there are other stores closer in Pompano and Doral but I rather drive all the way to the Boca store because there's where I feel special because I am pretty sure all employees make all customers feel that way. If you want a good haircut, do not go to this place. If you are expecting good customer service, do not go to this place. If you are expecting any kind of talent or service, do not go to this place. I went in for a simple haircut. I told her 2 inches off the bottom, leave my bangs alone, and maybe one or two layers on the top. I walked out with chopped off bangs, layers all over my head and one side of my hair was shorter than the other side. I was horrified and returned to get it fixed. The woman who cut my hair had left for the day and the remaining "stylist" took a look and did not even apologize to me or offer any kind of help except she could even it up after she took care of this gentleman who had come in for a haircut. She was not even sympathetic! I waited for 30 minutes and she was still cutting the man's hair. I mean, really, how long does it take to cut a man's hair, especially using a buzzer. I couldn't wait any longer and walked out and I'm glad I did. She probably would have made my hair look worse!! No offer of compensation, no apology, no customer service, no follow up phone call.......absolutely nothing from anyone in that shop. They don't have much business and now it is obvious why. They are a bunch of morons who don't know how to cut hair. Do not solicit this business. You'll only get burnt! read more
