I honestly don't even know where to begin. I walked out of Supercuts speechless, and not in a good way. The haircut I received was nothing like what I asked for. The stylist seemed rushed and didn't listen to my requests, which left me with a cut that was uneven and completely unflattering. It was so bad that I couldn't even find the words to address it during the appointment. I left feeling more disappointed than I can describe. I needed a haircut and I stopped at SuperCuts. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. I only had to wait about 10 minutes. Brandon was wonderful. He was so pleasant and helpful. My daughter and I came in for hair cuts. I haven't had a trim in about 2 years (my hair is VERY long) and this was my 4 year-old's first trip to "the salon". I called ahead of time to set up an appointment and they said just come in, there wasn't a wait! (Is this a good sign or a bad sign I was asking myself). Regardless, we hopped in the car and headed over. I went first. Opted for a wash in addition to a cut. I'm pretty low maintenance so I had my stylist (can't think of her name) just cut straight across. Since my hair was SO LONG, she suggested not going too short/too drastic. But I ended up having her chop off more and I LOVE IT! Then it was my daughter's turn. She was a little nervous at first but the stylist made her feel comfortable. Super easy cut- straight across, just like her mama. No layers, nothing fancy, good to go! For both of us, I think we paid $33?? And then I tipped $10 on top. I have had my hair cut here several times and was p!eased (same stylist). The last time, just a few days ago, was not good. Cut was much shorter than I wanted and I have two spots that she missed and the hair is longer. Rather than going back, I attempted to correct it myself. At this point I don't think it would look any worse! Also, I checked on line and it said "no wait". When I got to the salon there were three people ahead of me. I did wait a few minutes which I didn't mind. I feel the stylist didn't listen to me and did it HER way. This is probab!y the worst haircut I've had. I will not be returning. read more

What a surprise this place was for me. My first experience with a chain hair salon had me a tad apprehensive, but I was short on time and feeling adventurous. It's only hair after all. It grows back. I was not disappointed. I left with a much shorter, much easier to manage style and a great new subtle, but big, change in color. My stylist ("Zee") took the time to understand what I was looking for when I didn't even know myself . It all worked. Surprisingly, she was enthusiastic about the company in general and the opportunities she had. Originally from Africa, Zee talked about the company history and why she thought it was a great place to work. It's rare in my workaday-world to meet someone who genuinely sounds as though she appreciates the company she works for and likes the job. That enthusiasm carried over to her work. I don't know if all of this is common in a chain salon, but I have to say my experience here has given me a completely different perspective. It's only hair, but it's never going to be "only a chain salon" again. read more

Let me start this off by saying that I'm not really one to give a rating, regardless of service. But I feel like ai should given the experience I had today. I've been needing a haircut but haven't been able to go in a while. I would normally go to a normal barber but I was pressed for time and went here. I wanted to try a new style and showed the person cutting my hair photos of what I wanted. She did nothing remotely close to it and completely ruined my hair. Let me say that when someone asks if a style will work with their hairtype you should tell them yes or no before doing anything else. And if it wont work, you should ask them what they want to do instead (if anything). If I had been told that this style wouldnt work for me then I would've ask for a simple trim instead, in order to get my hair to a more manageable level. Also, when I said that I wanted to hide my hairline she said that i should "own it" and continued to keep cutting it shorter despite me telling her that I wasn't at a stage in my life where I wanted to own it. My hair is now shorter than it has been in years, too short to fix without shaving my head (before getting it cut it was almost a foot long, now its about an inch long, max.) I've gotten bad haircuts before, but never this bad. Another thing, telling someone that they should make sure to properly care for their beard to keep it "nice and kissable" isn't appropriate to tell a customer. Regardless, I am appalled at the service I received and would rate lower if I could. Also, despite not living in the area I will never come back for any reason, no matter how dire the reason. Courtney took the time to understand the haircut I was looking for and that I have a sensitive scalp, etc. I showed her a printout of a hairstyle I wanted and she gave me a pretty close haircut. The salon seemed busy and the stylists were few, so it looked like they were having too much on their hands. I didn't get offered the hot towel treatment and there was quite a lot of leftover cut hair on my jacket and top shoulders, which was a bummer. I brought my mom here for the first time to have her hair cut. She has dementia and does not like people shampooing and touching her hair. The stylist Maria was very patient and kind to my mom. My mom allowed her to cut and blow dry her hair without any fuss. I had brought a picture of a new haircut for my mom. Maria followed it to a T and my mom has a new, fresh beautiful haircut. Wow, as a long time customer here, things have gone down hill dramatically. Received absolutely TERRIBLE service by a person named Angie Martinez. She obviously was in a bad mood. We talked about how I wanted to have my hair cut, then did the exact opposite. I wanted a dry cut, which is stated on my file in the computer--which she checked first. Then grabbed the water and sprayed my hair wet! I asked her not to cut the front/top, she immediately cut the top-- scary.. No friendly conversation or conversation at all. DON'T GO HERE! We stopped by today - Sunday - to get two little boy haircuts. Walked in at 4 o'clock sharp. They close at 5 PM. The one stylist on duty told us that she would not be able to do their haircuts today as there were two additional appointments during the last hour they were open. I've been getting my little boys haircuts for years. Never had a cut take longer than 10 to 15 minutes for a haircut. They only get clipper cuts. Completely at a loss as to why the one attendant on duty could not do 4 boy haircuts in an hour. Also at a loss as to why people are turned away an hour before close - God forbid the attendant stay a couple extra minutes rather than turn away paying customers. read more

I've never been treated so rudely before. I felt horrible for my son who was getting his haircut. The stylist we had (front left chair) treated me like garbage when I didn't know what blade # to use. I tried to explain that we had been going somewhere else and since they had it in their system i didn't know the number. It went down hill from there. It wasn't even the cut that went wrong it was how we were treated. I was so upset I was shaking. We were both embarrassed in front of the other customers who were waiting. She even made a snarky remark that she was just trying to make the most efficient use of her time. I will NEVER go there again. If I could I would give zero stars. They butchered my hair and now it's just terrible looking I have to find someone to fix it for me if possible. I went in to get my haircut I had been waiting for over a year because the place I usually go to closed. I told them I was nervous because I don't know who to trust and that's why I waited so long but I couldn't stand how long it was anymore, that I wanted it much shorter. So I sit down I tell the women I want layers and a little below the shoulders. I wanted it cut dry because I want to know what the cut will look like since it's straight and I naturally have curly hair. She starts soaking it with the spray bottle and as she's cutting there's part straight and part curly hair. Didn't seem right to me but by the time she was done my hair was all wet and she put some curling stuff in it. I stupidly left thinking maybe it was fine. The next morning I straighten my hair and it's just terrible. One side was longer than the other. Each side had random long hairs, probably because it was part curly and straight while cutting. And there were NO LAYERS!! Just a "straight" (NOT) cut. I was so upset. So I went back in to see if they could fix it. I told her the problem and that there were no layers. She cuts again does it dry this time! She finishes asks if it's better. And it was literally the same as when I came in!! I said well I was wanting layers and I don't see any. So I try explaining to her what they are she has no idea what I'm talking about. She gets the other women she didn't know what I'm talking about. She does something with it and I look in mirror and I said sure that's better because it still wasn't layers but it at least made it not look all one boring length. So she calls the original women back over and teaches her how to do what she had just done on me! And passes it on to her again to finish even though she just learned and still doesn't get it! Really at that point I really wanted to leave because I didn't want them touching my hair any more! It was horrifying they didn't know what layers were! So she finishes up and didn't do what the women told her to do. She asked if it's good. I said yes and run out of there because I didn't want them touching my hair anymore. Now it's just a chopped up uneven mess and I'm so upset and there is still a few random long hairs that were missed! Never will go there again or recommend this place to anyone! Now I have to hope that someone can fix my hair the way it is or just wait a few months so it can grow out! read more

Wasn't acknowledged stood up front for about 5 minutes then a woman sitting down told me that she has been there for 20 minutes and was told by the hair cutter that it would be an hour wait. I have recently moved to the Apex area and found this gem of a salon, it meets my every need. I can get in and out which works best with my busy work schedule, I'm not one to set appointments for pampering experiences so I enjoy the option of popping in or calling ahead the day of. I have visited with each stylist and consistently receive a great cut, above average head massage with my shampoo and consistent hair color results. They keep records on file of my preferences and no matter who I have performing my service I get the same results. I hear that they receive updated training regularly so they are always recommending the latest styles. Its convenient and a friendly atmosphere! The last 5 or 6 haircuts I have had done were done at this Supercuts, so I am familiar with the place. I came in and was told there would be a 30-46 minute wait due to two styles that needed to be done. I was actually good with a 30-45 minute wait, and I sat down to cruise the internet. I sat there for over an hour and a half and watched the two cutters take their time doing what I can only assume are their side jobs, as they spent most of the time talking about this or that, They actually spent a good bit of time trying to guess the race of the father of a little girl who was there with her mother. There were not that many people there, but the two cutters wanted to be careful and not burn themselves out from overwork. I would say they succeeded. I will never go back. read more

I used to give this woman at least $60. every couple of months for...A TRIM! Yes, nervous, but desperate for a cut, I stopped in at Supercuts in Apex. I met Racquel and was immediately put at ease. i felt confident of her abilities just while we were talking. She gives constant good advice and tips on hair care, NOT just to sell their products!
