I started coming here because one day, I made a fuss about my significant others' lack of attendance during domestic household chores. After some protest, my partner decided to come along to appease me. We went to my usual spot- Brick Top- but he did NOT like it. We drove around frantically, trying to find a more suitable location. The goal was to find an out-of-the-way laundry mat that not too many people use. He wanted low-key, a lot of washers/dryers, and tons of space. As for me, I need clean, efficient, fast, and plenty of parking. Finally, we drove past Soap & Suds, which was on the same road as Walmart across the street from Aldis. It is in a perfect plaza. The Plaza itself has a pizza spot, a liquor store, and a hair salon. To its right, there is a Dunkin' Donuts and a nail salon. After almost a year of continued visits, I have found my laundry matt. I now utilize their drop of services. So far, I have been able to drop off and pick up the SAME DAY! Wow! What a convenience when you are always on the go and need fast and reliable service. However, do keep in mind that there is only one representative on the clock. He is a kind man with a warm smile. The laundry mat has a bathroom for customers only and plenty of seating. The parking lot is enormous, though hard to exit from, as it is located off a central strip with constant fast-moving traffic. In the snow, it can be slippery and and perhaps a bit dangerous.

The laundromat has a new owner, as of about 2022, so the older reviews are no longer relevant. The…read morelocation was completely renovated and all new machines were installed. The interior is clean & bright and the machines are well maintained. There is always a store employee present, unlike before. I've run into the owner a couple times and he is very friendly and helpful. The machines are very efficient, so it doesn't take much soap to do a load of wash. The owner was really helpful in understanding how to use the machines well, and he ran an extra cycle for me at no charge to rinse my clothes when I had put in way too much soap. I did have a conversation with him about the policy where you have to wash clothes there in order to use the dryer. There are other concerns than just having unwashed clothes put in a dryer. I can see how some would find it off-putting, but with all the other positives, I'm willing to accept it. Even if it means I occasionally need to wash my clothes there when it's only my home dryer that's broke. There was a sign that mentioned the policy at one point, but it may no longer be there.

I threw the load in the machine, put in the quarters and read a magazine. When the machine stopped, I lifted the lid and "OH NO", I had overfilled the machine so my clothes were still not done. Just then the owner "Manny" came in. I told him my problem. He showed me how much to fill the machine, we split the laundry into 2 machines and started them up. Best thing he paid! When my load was done he showed me how to use the high-efficiency spin dryer which saved a lot of driving time. In short if you need a laundromat either on a regular basis or emergency, I recommend you go to Storrs Home Style Laundry across the street from EO Smith high school near the Uconn campus. Exceptionally clean, not crowded and terrifically managed! I'm happy to recommend them.

The washing machine, which costs $4.75 is supposed to spin and removed alot of the water! I have not been to a laundromat in 20 years but this is not the way a landromat machine should behave.. They are charging you for removing water that should have been removed by the machines. Never in my life! This was only 1 machine but the other customers seemed to be resigned to the fact that their clothes would come out dripping wet, weight tons. Sorry folks..this is not the way it should be. I suggest they get new machines...

However, no one was here when I lost 3 rounds of the dryer because I had not noticed that it didn't spin or dry my clothes. Wasting some $ and time to now try to get it to dry in another dryer. Says he runs two laundromats in town so I'm assuming he splits his time. No valid phone number to call for help. If there was a way to reach help I would add more another star.
