I have been here 2x spaced out by a year and i hated every visit. I went last night to pick up a couple items after work and nobody helps you if you are searching for an item. And the cashier girl immediately gave me bad vibes, i saw other cashiers putting items into the grocery bag but my lady couldnt be bothered to greet me or put my items in the bag. When she gave me my receipt she turned her head all the way just to avoid looking at me or touching me like ... its giving racist vibes if you dont speak spanish. Prices arent even that cheap so might as well spend the extra few minutes to travel to Stop and Shop which isnt too far. Never coming back here, terrible service. As far as the food selection its pretty standard and basic, hot bar could use some more variety. Overall not a welcoming or plesant experience enough for me to ever return read more

I like this place. 1) You can get many Latin American specialty which you can't find anywhere else. 2) Their hot food is really good. Very cheap and tastes pretty good. 3) Overall, I think it is the best Latin American specialty market. read more

These new owners of super supermarket in Haledon NJ are definitely price gauging just go downtown to Price Rite supermarket in Paterson that's 5 minutes away in NJ on Main Street at the mall and you will see a huge difference. read more

I went to deli today to buy some muenster cheese which is on sale. All the sale signs are in English but no one their speaks English. I asked for 1/2 pound and she did not understand me so I asked for two dollar package. She started cutting cheese which was shredding so she opened a new package and did not toss out the orange end and then got some attitude when I said I did NOT want the orange end of the muenster cheese. I ended up NOT buying anything. I asked for a manager who spoke English and they did not have anyone in the store who would help so I left with nothing. read more

When I first moved to this neighborhood, I went to the store because it was convenient. After a couple of visits, I started to notice how HIGH the prices were and how ROTTEN the produce is at this store. I now shop at Shop Rite or BJ's. I despise going into this store its HORRIBLE. Why are all the cashiers young Dominican teenagers? I can't tell you how many times I had a unpleasant experience with a cashier. One incident, while I was with my 13 year old, two cashiers (one was ringing me up) was having a full blown conversation with the other cursing and saying crazy stuff about a boy. Great prices. Can get a bit busy. But if you're looking for ethnic foods/spices etc - this is your place. Tons of parking. Meats are typically very fresh and decent produce. Be careful of the fruits, tends to spoil fast. read more

Workers: Most of the workers who work here are female Dominican teenagers. Obviously, the supermarket only hire a certain type of nationality/race. I never see a white, black, or asian worker. In addition, the workers are bitches. Some of them give you attitude or not helpful at all. I went today and this young girl did not talk. She didn't even tell me how much my grocery cost!! The girl looks like she did not want to be in there. This was not the first time, I remember a worker who try to hit a guy. He did not do anything but tell her to stop texting on her phone and do her job. Smh. This place is unprofessional.. The workers are lousy and bitchy. Warning! The deli clerk is not following safe food handling! When I ordered cold cuts he immediately reached into the refrigerated case to pul out my choice. I interrupted him with "Por favor senor, donde estan sus guantes?"- Please Mr. where are your gloves? He did not reply but held up his Left hand wearing a worn plastic disposable glove. It was not new. His right hand was bare, meaning that he handled the bulk piece of cold cut meat WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS OR WEARING A GLOVE ON IT! The Serve Safe person in charge of training and maintaining sanitary food handling procedures at Super Supermarket will be notified,as well as the Haledon Board of Health. This inexcusable lapse is one way of how so many people can get sick. read more

I don't really like this place. Sometimes when I'm in rush I would stop for a gallon of milk, water, or juice. The manager is rude, one time as I was paying for a few groceries he was bad mouthing customers to one of the cashier associates (she ignored him as she processed by selection of items) for leaving the carts where don't belong. Once I bought a pack of apple sauce for my toddler and turns out it was expired. Things in the fruits and vegetables section do not look too fresh and I would not risk buying any meats from here either. read more

Only go to this supermarket if there is no other choice. Otherwise I avoid it as much as possible. cashiers are very quiet (how are you? Can I help you?) the store definitely has a strange smell but hey probably why there is never a line lol. read more

The prices are a little higher than some larger chain supermarkets, produce is not the freshest but the cashiers are very friendly. I would not recommend this supermarket for large/bulk shopping sprees; but this establishment is perfectly find for picking up a few simple grocery items. read more

I honestly can't comprehend how people can purchase from this store without double checking expiration dates, the staff is almost always unprofessional or do not speak English. I wish I could give this joke of a supermarket 0 stars. I totally agree with the comments on how bitchy the cashiers are. And yes this store only hires Dominican women I have seen one A.A. young lady working there in the four years i have been living next door to this supermarket. She only lasted a few months I assume because I don't see her anymore. The food is high and there isn't much of a selection I too only go in there when I only need one or two things. But for big shopping I go to other stores miles away. read more
