We ended up here as luck would have it! This place is CLEAN. The vast majority of machines are new and actually functional. The change machines are actually stocked. The bathrooms though dated are actually CLEAN as well. With covid we are pretty careful about public spaces. They have a hand washing station, masking is strongly enforced (thank you sweet baby Jesus in the manger) and patrons are encouraged- but not required to wait in their vehicles between loads. The wifi was excellent. Now for the real VIP- the attendant. I'm not sure where they found this lovely woman, and I have no idea what she is paid- but she deserves a raise. She was so KIND and helpful. She was constantly cleaning surfaces, she greeted us warmly at the door, she made recommendations on how to minimize our time and cost and she spoke highly of her job and the owner. In a world where people usually quit bosses and not jobs it was great to hear that she is treated well and enjoying her job. I'm sure being a laundry attendant isn't glamorous, but she seemed genuinely grateful to be doing the job. Several people came in without masks, she politely enforced the rule. I can only imagine how difficult enforcing social distancing and masking must get at times. Most folks were cooperative and pleasant... but there's always one. Bottom line- this is a LOCALLY owned business who employs local folks and they obviously take pride in that ownership. If I had to regularly use a laundromat I'd be here over anywhere else in the city. The don't have dry cleaning, but they do have reasonably priced drop off service which helps the attendant pass time and make extra money.
