It took more than two hours to get from the airport to my hotel when I arrived, with a bus and a train and a bus. All of that was around NSD25 so to find the Super Shuttle for not much more, I'm hooked. And thankfully, waiting until the day before to book didn't screw me up. The shuttle driver arrived at my hotel only about ten minutes late and I was the second-to-last passenger to board. One more stop and we were on our way to the airport with bags packed in the trailer behind. Comfortable, efficient and budget-friendly. It was great to not be stressed. I believe in mass transit while traveling wherever possible, shuttles are the next best thing. Super Shuttle New Zealand is a model for how companies around the world should be; this review serves for the entire company, not just using it in Auckland. On our trip we had a need for shuttle service on four occasions, each one we used this company and we thoroughly recommend it. We used it in Wellington, Auckland twice, and Queenstown. It goes like this: you can book online, on their stellar app, or over the phone. I recommend the app: it's intuitive, stable, and records all your trips in one place. Communication is spot on; you'll get texts or notifications confirming your pickup; they have GPS to track your driver, information about them, and information about other stops and riders so there's no guessing on time or schedules. Prices were fantastic, less than $20 for both of us. The shuttles themselves are modern and clean vans with comfortable seating. There's no overbooking, so plenty of space. The big thing is the trailers for luggage; so many other companies limit you due to room in a tiny trunk space, here they put it all in the trailer. The vans have free wifi as well, which can be useful in a foreign country if you need to access airport information or details about your stay. Every pick up and drop off we had was a breeze; all on time, all friendly and local. The drivers seemed to enjoy talking and all knew shortcuts to save on time and traffic. I am not going to lie, Super Shuttle are brilliant. I have booked this service numerous times over the last 10 years and have always been happy with prompt (earlier than expected) pick-up time. They say to wait 5 mins before pick-up time however they have always been 10 mins before, in my experience. All the drivers are friendly & personable, nothing is ever too much trouble! I have also booked the return journey from Auckland International airport to the CBD and this has also been been reliably good. I canc my reservation more then 10 days in advance and advised my flights to Sydney were canc from the USA. Virgin canc my flight from Sydney to NZ. Took the SuperShuttle three times. Once from Christchurch Airport and a round trip from the Auckland airport. Convenient shuttles and very organized systems. Trip from the Christchurch airport was perfect. Reserved online while still in Australia. Didn't know during booking that paying with credit card you will pay a surcharge for that. (Not a practise in North America so was not expecting that.) With that said they encourage you to book online on their website. Trip to our B&B in Christchurch was uneventful and got us there safely. The trip from Auckland airport to the CBD a week later made us think we should have considered a taxi. Firstly, the website does not indicate that when calling into the office, their number does not accept phone calls from mobile phones. There were no signs as to where to meet the SuperShuttle and I needed to search through my emails on my phone to figure out where the SuperShuttle was to meet us which was not the domestic terminal but rather we needed to walk the path to the international side. The driver named Rod seemed to be in quite a rush and some drop offs were residential and another at the hospital. The hospital drop off was particularly tricky due to narrower roadways and of course, many speed bumps and we were sitting at the back! We went over a few bumps and we began to wonder why the driver would not go over them more carefully because we were really feeling them. Then we went over the mother of all speed bumps and I actually shrieked at the impact of that bump on my back. Finally, the driver took notice and made his way more carefully on the final speed bumps. Due to taxi costs maybe we are at the mercy of the shuttles but that should not compromise customer care and all telephone lines should be capable of receiving calls from mobile phones when operating a business! read more

Words can't describe how terrible this company's customer service is, but will try to put into words for this review. I booked and pre-paid a shuttle to pick me up from the Ferry Building to take me to the airport. Unfortunately there were torrential rains and the ferry was 30 minutes late arriving. Upon my arrival to the Ferry Building I called and spoke to a representative who told me that I missed my shuttle, will still be charged the full amount, and would not be able to have another shuttle sent to pick me up. I was stressed and worried about missing my flight, so I requested to speak with a supervisor who reiterated the same thing; however he was incredibly ill-mannered and hung up the phone on me when I asked to speak to another supervisor or manager. He told me it was my fault that I missed the ferry, refused to listen to the obvious reasons that were out of my control, did not offer to send another shuttle, did not agree to refund my money, and lastly he abruptly hung up the phone on me while I was speaking. No one traveling across the world should have to experience such atrocious service when trying to get to the airport. read more

We flew into Auckland on Mar 6th and took super shuttle to are airbnb and before we left I make a appointment for a pick up for Mar 9th at 11:15. We waited for almost an hour and he did not show up. I have been in contact with them in Auckland and have found out they had the wrong time for pickup and the wrong cell number. They showed up at 12:28 and by then we had taken uber to the airport. They are trying to place the blame for this screw up on me. When you call them you are on hold forever. The only time I spoke to someone was when I confirmed the pick up time (11:15) the day before. We flew into Auckland and chose to utilize the Super Shuttle. The delivery to our hotel was prompt and efficient, and we chose to utilize their service on our return trip to the airport. The driver arrived at the scheduled time, and we arrived at the airport with sufficient time to check-in. In the process of checking in, my son discovered he had left his cell phone in the shuttle. My travel companion called our hotel and requested their assistance in contacting the shuttle company. I stepped outside and located two drivers of the Super Shuttle company. They immediately came to my assistance, made a few calls, and my son had his cellphone returned to him within 15 minutes.
