Never went up and inspected roof. His workers poured sealant over roof. They coated wires which he said he would remove. Never fixed a leak. Contracted another rooking company and they saw that sheathing (underlayment) should have been replaced in 2 areas. The new roofer replace -stripped- the cheap sealant, and added new shingles which should have been installed the first time around. Called Super Roofer at least 10 times, never responded of showed up to repair the terrible job they started. TOOK HIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND WON. AVOID THIS CHARACTER AT ALL COSTS read more

I contacted Bill at Super Roofer from a local reference who had used him for roofing purposes and told me he was excellent. I was in search of having an estimate on replacing roofing and two roof skylights due to water leaking into the apartment below. Bill scoped the job with his associate and basically told me that he just needed to flash a few spots that would prevent leakage and there was no need to replace the entire skylight. He was extremely sensible and reasonable in his pricing. As a landlord, I can appreciate the good qualities of truthfulness and respect his professionalism and honesty. He said he'd be happy to replace skylights but it was unnecessary and roof was in good shape for a few more years. I usually am apprehensive because once contractors size up the surrounding area/neighborhood, I generally get some long, exhaustive spiel about what/how extensive the process to fix an issue followed shortly after with some exorbitant pricing. Bill pointed out some weak areas around the roof prone to future leaks and offered to patch them as well since he was onsite for the same rate. The work was done swiftly and neatly. If you are looking for a good reliable roofer, keep looking. 3 men showed up in a van with a plywood roof and missing lights. They set up their ladder that was broken and climbed to my roof. In less than two hours they are we gone, ... after checking the roof it looked as if they spread about 1/2 gallon of flashing and it didn't remotely cover my roof. After complaining they show up 2 weeks later unannounced and proceed to not finish again. This time they were kind enough to leave the drain catch in and let a few inches of flashing build up a lip that later restricted the water flow to the drain. Honestly don't let these guys rip you off like they did me and my family....one star is being kind. read more

Bill and his crew originally installed a new roof over 25 years ago. We never had an issue. We called other companies to check our roof and each wanted to put a new rubber roof down. Super Roofer was super amazing to work with. They had to try three times to get to my roof, navigating around a big tree and dealing with the fact that there's no access to the roof from inside the house. On the fourth trip to my house, when they needed the big ladder and three guys, they made it to the roof. They patched the roof and fixed the leaking skylight -- FOR FREE! Billy said it was such a small job that he didn't want to charge me, but another contractor had quoted me $2,000 for the same job. I decided to wait to post this review until it rained. It rained two days after they fixed the roof -- and for the first time in months, there was no water inside the house. Billy and his team were incredibly professional and nice to work with. On August 3rd I called this company to get an estimate on a leaking skylight I had, Jose came by and gave me an estimate. We agreed to a price for re flashing the skylight and re tarring a wall and was told they would be here early Sat Aug 11th to do the job. Sat Aug 11 it rained, Jose called me and told me he would be over Monday Aug 13th or early in the week, It rained a bit Monday so figured they would come sometime the week... I got no call at all. Mon August 20th I called and left a message, Jose returned my call telling me they would be over early 9-9:30am on Wed Aug 22nd. I called on Wed the 21st to confirm and the office returned my call to reassure me I was on schedule for early morning Wed 22. Wed Aug 22nd comes no word from them after 10:30 am, I called, left a message asking what was going on... its Thurs Aug 23, have yet to hear from them. Be warned, no one actually pics up the phone, you always have to leave a message. Also look at the weather, it seems they always scheduled work to be done for me on days it was supposed to rain. It was supposed to rain on Wed Aug 22 at the time the appointment was made. The weather changed and they didn't show, obviously to do a job that got them more money. Its very disrespectful to lie to a customer and just blow them off like they did to me. I hope you don't have to go through this. read more

These guys were responsive a couple of years ago but they don't even return phone calls now. After heavy storms, the paint on my second floor ceiling would peel then start dripping water. Over the last three weeks, four detailed messages were left with Super Roofer. Number of calls returned: zero. This is on a roof that Super Roofer installed several years ago. I know it was out of warranty. I just wanted it fixed before my bedroom ceiling fell on my head. And, okay, it was a tough winter and there may be more jobs than they can handle. But you don't leave a past client hanging with a leaky roof. I called another roofer I found on Brownstoner.com, who came that day. Diagnosis: something called a "gravel stop" hadn't been installed when the roof was replaced so wind was lifting the roofing felt around the edges and driving water underneath. He installed that gravel stop and repaired some missing flashing and no more leaks. So two strikes on Super Roofer. Save yourself and your ceiling. Call someone else. read more

I am sooo pleased with Super Roofer, I can't say enough about the prompt response time and customer service I received when I called for my roof issue. I had a leak coming from my skylight on the roof and also, the shingles were falling apart because they were so old. I had a few estimates from other roofers and they all tried to upsell me unnecessary work and products, to increase the cost of the job. I wasn't happy with those quotes and while I was at a party, my friend suggested Bill from Super Roofer because she was happy with her new roof. So I called him. Bill, the owner of Super Roofer was honest and forthright with his estimate. He came and evaluated my roofing issues, which included a resolution for fixing roof cracks, a re-paint on the existing roof and around the skylight. He said I didn't need to waste money on a new roof since it looked in good shape to him and his crew. He said that he would repair the skylight, fix and guarantee his work on the existing roof, and install the newest shingles. Sounded like a plan to me! His pricing was very affordable and on par with our price range. He did not try and upsell the job to increase the price. His crew showed up on time, were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable while performing their responsibilities on the roof and during my presence. The crew worked as a team and Bill was their to supervise and answer the many inquisitive questions I had regarding the job. Turns out, he and I graduated the same High School and know all the same folks. He's well known in Brooklyn and many people I know, have used his services and are happy. He also helped me by referring a sewer person to help with a separate drain issue, which was resolved the same day as the roof!!!! I couldn't be happier with his workmanship on the roof because I went up to watch. He informed me of the step by step process so I understood what was happening. I hired Bill from Super Roofer because he was in the neighborhood seeing about one of my neighbor's roof. My roof was leaking and my tenant was complaining and I needed it fixed. Bill checked the (flat) roof and said we could get a away with new silver coating for a few years. So, I hired him to do the job. When finished, , Bill told my tenant the roof might last a year (different story than what I was told) and he would guarantee it for a year. After I paid Bill, the roof continued to leak. When I went and looked at the silver coat, it was clearly a poor job. The workers didn't even bother to remove debris from the roof and just rolled the coating over leaves and twigs. And the rood still leaked. I called Bill to cone back many times with no reply. When he finally answered, he promised to come back on a specific day. This process was repeated several times. But he never came back. Super Roofer should be called Super Ripoff. You've been warned. read more
