Their wine displays ate in the middle of the aisles in cardboard displays where if you walk the wrong way a bottle can crash to the floor He charged a customer who walked by the display and by accident a bottle fell to the ground He actually made the client pay for the bottle of wine. I stopped in to get a six-pack as a gift. I purchased it in cash, so nobody with the shared bank account would notice. I should have guessed that paying in cash meant I wouldn't get the correct change back. Yeah, we're talking three cents, but if the worker is going to bother fishing out three quarters, why not grab the three pennies? Anyway, I stood there, waiting for her to correct the mistake, and she shrugged. Evidently, pennies don't count as change. Pennies are currency, and it does add up over time. Now, if there had been a take-a-penny leave-a-penny cup, I probably would've left them. Still, not getting offered the chance is sleazy. Is this insufficient mathematics how the staff earns tips? If so, that speaks wonders about how the place is operated. Plus, when the POS screen displays how to assemble the change back, it's plain laziness to ignore it. This experience reminds me why I detest paying with cash. So if you shop here, prepare to be ripped off. read more

A friend told me they had a limited release beer in stock so I rushed over. At the counter I was told they did not have it, even though a full case was visible behind the counter. The rude salesman told me I was mistaken and that another store received the product. Only shop here if you like being lied right to your face!!! read more

Came in to purchase a limited release beer after a coworker told me they had them in stock, but they refused to sell it. The bottles were behind the register within view and when asked about them, they refused to even acknowledge that they were directly behind them. Management is piss poor. Tried to buy a bottle of Scotch that was marked $63.99 on the shelf and another bottle that was on sale for $43.99. When they rang it up it came to $157 and change. Now I have drank my share of single malt in my day but I can still add well enough to know that ain't the total of $63.99 and $43.99. The 63.99 bottle rang up as 95.99 and the on-sale bottle rang up at full price. Walked out. read more

I've been to this store a few times now and each time I come back it seems to get better. I should start by stating that I am a beer snob so my review is solely based on their selection and prices for craft beer. First off their selection is both wide and top quality. I was able to spot quite a few beers here that just debuted for the season that are either not sold elsewhere or sell out right away at the more popular liquor stores. They also have a growler station with about 6 beers on tap. If you speak beer language, you should know that they always have at least one Kane and Carton beer on and will soon have one beer by Demented Brewing (which just opened in Middlesex) at all times. Both the owner and staff are very friendly and will make suggestions if you're not sure what to get and can answer any questions that you have. Their prices are also quite reasonable. My main complaint is their parking lot. It can get pretty jammed up depending on when you go. If you are looking for great quality beer, whether it be bottled, canned, or on tap, pay Super Buy Rite a visit. If you live in the area, you will surely be a return customer! read more

Probably the best beer store I've been to in the NY/NJ area! I've gone here twice now and been very impressed with the selection of craft beers and very reasonable prices. Contrary to other reviews, I've found the employees to be helpful and friendly. This store is definitely worth visiting even if you aren't located super close by. read more

I LOVE this place! I am not a big drinker........ usually go here to buy Barefoot Pink Moscato and once in a while Tito's Vodka. They have an older gentleman who seems to be an expert on wines and he LOVES helping the customers! I needed his help to find a wine I do NOT drink, for someone very special and close to me. He helped us out and after giving the wine to the couple, couldn't believe the RAVE reviews they gave that little bottle of wine! Very disappointed in this store. I've been here a few times and on no trip has anyone greeted me or asked if I needed help finding anything. On my past visits I was looking for something specific and was able to find it on my own (but it still took longer than if someone would've offered to show me where to look). However, on this particular trip, I was looking for a sweet red wine and when I saw they didn't carry what I normally get I had a hard time finding any others to try using just the signs. One of the workers came to help a man right in the same aisle as me at one point but didn't even ask me anything even after they were done--mind you I had been in the store for at least 20 minutes at that point and it was not super busy. As a result, I had to use my phone to look up reviews for different sweet reds I found and I still managed to get one that I did not like once I got home. They do have a nice selection but back to Total Wine I go. I spend a lot of money on wine so the least they could say hello and offer to help whether I need it or not. read more

The guys who work at the tasting area are the actual worst. My boyfriend and I went there to get house wine which is a canned drink that is great for parties. When we asked if they had it, they continued to call us trailer trash and told us to let them know when we were ready to buy wine in a bottle. My boyfriend and I are 25 and were trying to get this alcohol for my birthday party. The people behind the tasting area should be fired. read more

I'm at a loss seeing other reviews saying this place has a great craft beer selection. They have a few decent beers, but nothing special. I refuse to ever shop here again!!! There's one gentleman ( a Caucasian male- he's always been an excellent customer service assistant) that is incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, the other workers/ managers ( of East Indian descent) decided that it was cool to follow me around the store and "conveniently " stop where I stop and adjust the products in that same area. As the husband of an event planner who routinely does the purchasing of liquor for her business I have never in my life had that happen. Won't happen again and I will spread the word!!!! read more

Never going back. I wanted to pick up a 6 pack on the way home and they posted a new sign no debt under 8 dollars. The guy wouldn't let me use my debit card for 7.55. Not to mention if you have a credit card machine it is against the agreement you sign to restrict the amount you can use it for. I am a small business owner and would never do that. I walked by the growler station and the store employee was having a lunch that overwhelmed the store with a pungent stench of onions. It was impossible to look at the board or talk about the choices that were available. What sort of management tolerates this? The same management that puts a price of $7.99 on a six pack and when it rings up at $11.99, refuses to void the sale and refund the customer's money, even though they admit that the mistake was theirs. Stay far away from this place, your money is much better spent at wine and craft beer stores who value their customers and create a pleasant browsing and shopping experience. read more

I don't ask much from a liquor store. But this one fails to deliver on all accounts. Creepiest employees ever. The men in the store will follow women around and stare them, making it the most uncomfortable shopping experience. The one worker who was working at the grower bar asked my girlfriend to move into the other checkout line so he could state at her from behind. They are also incredibly rude and condescending. When we were looking to purchase a case of beer for an upcoming party that we didn't have room for in our fridge we asked if it was available outside of the refrigerator because we didn't want to store it in room temperature and have it go bad. The employee responded that "it doesn't f***ing matter! It's yuengling! It tastes like sh** either way!" They also have inconsistent prices when it comes to alcohol, with the listed shelf prices not matching the actual checkout price. Avoid this store at all costs.
