Nice older hotel just off the highway. Really quiet interior room. Hope breakfast is good. Price seems to be reasonable.

At first look, the hotel is in a nice little area of McDonough that is safe. Close to the store,…read moreshops, mall, restaurants and the freeway. We were here on a day with little hotel traffic. The staff was pleasant. The hotel looked clean. The rooms looked clean. The bed was middle of the road. Breakfast was OK. So, why the 3 stars? Everything was good until we turned the TV off. It was like we had the window open and were right in the emergency lane by the highway. WTH. I75 is always busy. There were cars and trucks driving by every second, all night long. I'm a very light sleeper so, you guessed it, I got no sleep all night. I really hate to give them such a review but I believe in honesty. Sorry.

Let's start with the good. Check in was easy and the clerk was friendly. Hotel was easily…read moreaccessible from the interstate and plenty of options for dinner nearby. I was thanked for being a Hilton Honors member and offered my complimentary water and snack. I did not made it down for breakfast but my husband did. He said breakfast was ok but there was a staff member sleeping in the area and another staff member telling him he could not sleep there and they argued in the middle of the breakfast nook. So not pleasant for dining. Upon arrival in room I had no top sheet on my bed. There was a maid in the hallway who said they were all in the laundry but no offer to bring me one. On our way out to dinner I ask for a top sheet at the front desk. It was busy at the time so I told them I'd pick it up on my way back in. It was ready for me when we returned. Shelves in the bathroom were dusty and the light over the sink was out. We called about the light in the bathroom. About an hour later a fellow came to fix it, said he had to go get the bulb, another hour later he returned with the wrong size bulb. We did not see him again until we returned from dinner and he was in the lobby. We asked about the bulb and he told us he didn't have the right size to fix it. But again no one let us know that. The small bottles of shampoo, conditioner on the bathroom were less than half full. I am pretty sure this is the first time I have ever left a bad review of any Hilton property. I will not stay here again

This is my second time staying in this hotel. It's been more than one year between visits and I see…read morethat they are experiencing the same issues. The hotel is relatively new and appears aesthetically pleasing. The service I received was fine. However, the rooms always have issues. During this stay, my first room's HVAC was not working, the microwave was glitching and the telephone did not work with the wiring stripped and hanging out of the wall. I was moved to a second room. This room's telephone also did not work and there was water damage on the bathroom walls. The gym is superb! The pool was closed during my stay. They finally got the EV chargers installed, they were not up and running my first visit. One of the elevators (the one on the right) had misfunctions each time I rode it. The breakfast is decent. I liked that during my 2-night stay, the breakfast was slightly different each morning. I would stay here again, now that I am aware of the recurring issues.

This place was absolutely disgusting. If I could give 0 stars, I would…read more The first night, our room was already infested with roaches. We were moved to another room, but the problem didn't get any better--we still had to deal with roaches ourselves. We ended up spraying everything just to try to make it livable, but the infestation was clearly ongoing. We spoke with the manager, Jirmain, and he did nothing to resolve the issue. Instead, he threatened to charge us additional fees and even charged our card without our permission, which is completely unacceptable. The overall environment was just as bad. There were people smoking in the hallways, others drinking in the stairwells, and the elevator smelled like dog urine. Trash was constantly piled up, which probably explains the roach problem. I would never stay here again. Save your money and go somewhere else.

In today's time, great employees are hard to find! The head manager has done every well! Hotel - Most has already been remodeled, beautifully - pool still under construction but will be completed soon. Rooms - Beds more comfortable than our own - fell asleep quickly and stayed asleep until time to get up. Rooms clean and equipped with the right hotel stuff. Breakfast - Perfect for a quick sufficient breakfast! Husband loved the sausage gravy! Breakfast host approached every table, asked all guests if there was anything she could get to complete their meal! With a smile! That early and smiling.... she's a keeper! Parking - we're traveling with 2 very nice 2017 vehicles. Both full of belongings.... Both untouched and safe! Family demands - I had trouble booking through Expedia to meet my demands. The statement of "control freak" is an understatement to define me. I called, spoke to the night time manager, explained the travel issues. On this trip, husband, self, oldest daughter, her 2 children - 3 and 2 mo, her husband, my 17 and 16 year old daughters. All adults 5'11 - 6'2, tall family! We have modest daughters, but under 18. Cons - Area is not the best; parking lot is a little on the tight/small side; exiting onto the street can be difficult; bed was very high and way too firm; pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable; mini fridge does not get very cold/takes a long while to get cold (would not feel safe putting perishables in it); keycard randomly deactivated our second to last day; no dogs over 40lbs are allowed at all and any dogs are not allowed to stay more than 2 days. Biggest issue were the insects. A medium-sized beetle crawled out of a hole in the outside corner of the bathtub our first night, and then our last night my fiancée found a HUGE dead spider right under the space between the bedside table and the bed (both pictured).

Bugs crawled outside like angry bouncers. Lyft drivers and two abandoned dusty cars parked in the lot. Ripped carpet. Missing door mirror with glue stains. Shredded lettuce on the floor of the closet. Old fridge and scary dirty microwave. Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash bolted to the walls. Smoke alarm barely attached to the wall. Dirty damp rugs and dusty headboards. Dusty ceilings. Stained sheets and chemical burned towels. Pillows with no density. Sofa chair and ottoman stained and suspect looking. Light switches and electric sockets that didn't all work. The smell of weed made my brother have to change rooms. Yet the smell of weed was all over the premises. It seemed that everyone who rented a suite there smoked. My bro chose this hotel due to his job's discount and assumed it would be good for his family to stay in. Lucky for me, I was with 4 other family members there for an event, and had no time, so we cleaned like biohazard workers, vented to each other about it, and then laughed about our shitty hotel luck. If I was there solo, I would of slept in the woods. The only thing that saved them was a powerful shower head with hot water, a door lock and a soft bed. With so many hotels in the area I assumed the competition would at least drive them to upgrade. Nope. This hotel will forever be in our memories as the shitty hotel we stayed when we all met up with family for a 80th birthday party. We'll groan and tell folks about it while they look surprised. Thanks Baymont.
