Did you ever want to go back to the 90's? Well I have the place for you. From the hotel lobby where the very friendly desk clerk greets you, you have the first impression with wall paper in shades of navy blue and couches in bold floral burgundy, ivory, and navy. The check in desk you will be delighted to read is a beautiful teal laminate color. As you walk to your room, you are also welcomed with burgundy carpet and gold light fixtures. We were in a king bed room. VERY clean with all the basic amenities. Shampoo, conditioner, updated TV, refrigerator, microwave, iron, and ironing board. The room is not to disappoint in going with the 90's theme. Floral and gold with cherry stained furniture. The breakfast includes, bagels, a few cereal selections, juice, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. Not much, but free. All kidding aside, this hotel may not be decorated to the present, but it is clean and reasonably priced ($80). Staff is very friendly and helpful as well. A nice place to stay if you are in Waterloo. read more

This hotel doesn't even deserve a single star. DO NOT stay at this hotel. It's just nasty. I was there for a wedding and a number of folks stayed here - all with similar tales about the room. The shower head was so dirty and encrusted, along with the tub and tub surround being dirty and covered in probably years of soap scum, I couldn't bring myself to shower there. I washed my face and tried to use the hand towel to dry, but it was so old and non-absorbent, it just pushed the water around my face. All of the towels and washcloths were old, dingy, worn and frayed. There was mold along the top of the tub surround. I had to wipe someone else's toothpaste spots from the mirror. I also had to wipe down the sink. We tried to find another hotel, but they were booked. The windows in the door to the front entrance along with the elevator were dirty. I honestly put my slippers in the trash can. There was no way I was going to put them in my luggage - even wrapped in a plastic bag - nor let them touch my floors at home. All of us spent the least amount of time possible in the rooms - heat and humidity instead of air conditioning were the better option. I went to plug my phone into an outlet and there was dirt and layers of dust on top of the outlet cover. I peeked behind the TV stand and night stand and layers of dirt and dust. I was not brave enough to look at the AC unit. I paid over $350 for a 3-night stay in a room I couldn't even shower in let alone want to be in for more than 30 seconds. Although a non-smoking hotel, it smelled of smoke - probably from years past when guests were allowed to smoke in the hotel. There was no air conditioning in any of the common areas. Breakfast??? Ah... go to Denny's. I along with at least one other guest sent a complaint to Wyndham. Their response was to send it to the hotel and let me know I would receive a response within a week. Makes me not want to stay at any Wyndham properties. Sorry this is a bit of a ramble, but it still makes my skin crawl. read more

Dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. First room had a broken air conditioner and feces on the toilet. Moved to a room that was less filthy but still nasty. Actual stains on the curtains, bedspreads and furniture. No plug in the sink, vending machine didn't work and the only time I saw anyone working here is when I checked in. Hallway rugs needed vacuuming- just gross all around. read more

Avoid this hotel. The room was not as clean as I would like. The bath mat was dirty (see photo) and the HVAC unit had months of dirt around the air intake. The refrigerator was warm. The bedding was clean and the TV worked. The laundry room was dirty, too. The one old computer in the lobby barely worked. The "continental breakfast" featured twinkies and apples. The juice machine was broken. There was Sunny D in reach in unit. The price we paid for a room on the weekend cannot justified. read more

Not a great place to stay. The public areas smell terrible. We found bugs in each bed after one crawled on me late at night. Absolutely disgusting. When I mentioned this to the front desk at check out they didn't seem surprised and offered nothing more than "sorry your stay wasn't better". Lobby looks like it was decorated last in 1985. This place is not somewhere I would ever recommend to anyone else. Avoid if possible! read more

We stayed at this Super 8 last night. It was quiet and clean. They had the correct reservation. The lady who checked us in was efficient and personable. We had to leave about 5:30 this morning for business, so didn't try the breakfast. A lady was setting it up when I checked out and it looked like standard motel free breakfast offerings. My only complaint was people who had to leave earlier than us walking down the hallway talking. Folks, you aren't in your own home! Be quiet when you are in the public areas so early! Not the fault of this motel, though; just rude people who don't think. read more

New owners, new renovation, new decor, very clean, front office excellent. Prior reviews were 2015, 2016 which were not good. Excellent restaurant Bootsie next door. Gallagher's downtown was superb. New owners to update photos online (corporate world slowness). Definitely gives value. read more

The only good thing I can say about the place is that it's clean. Paid $77 (double room, 2 people) for a room that had no mini fridge OR microwave. Didn't think these kinds of places existed anymore, but a national chain?! The hotel opened around 2000. The pillows have apparently been around that long, flat as pancakes. And the blanket on my bed had a hole in the middle of it. Other people with me had a room down the hall. Same situation: no fridge or microwave, and raggedy, thin pillows. oh yeah, the vending machines on our floor were a joke. The snack machine was completely empty, and the soda machine was empty with an "Out of order " sign taped on it. Do yourself a favor and go the couple miles down the road to Columbia. Or go to Belleville, or across the river to south county St. Louis. read more

Not good. Reserved a non-smoking room; got there and they only had smoking rooms left. Cigarette holes in the blankets, the thinnest bed sheets I'd ever seen, old-fashioned TV (not a flatscreen), room and hallways reeked and then the breakfast had no eggs (not even hard-boiled). They did give me a small discount on the room (like $15) but I wish I'd gone elsewhere where I could have gotten some decent sleep. read more

Do NOT stay here. We had to stay here to be close to a family funeral. When we checked in we had a new guy, working alone, who did his best to help us. There was no refrigerator in our room so we went to get ice, and the door shut and we were permanently locked out until maintenance, who was not on site, came and unlocked. The maintenance guy was nice and moved us to a room with a refrigerator. Then the pillows were very flat, almost non-existent, and there was no shampoo, just conditioner. I went down the next morning for the "breakfast" and there was a rotten banana in the apples. I asked if there were any fresher bananas and was told "it is what it is." We still had a second night, and I told 3 desk people our problems. Not one was concerned. When I checked out, she told me that there was a funny thing on the screen that said that I owed a balance, and then she said it was taken care of. On the way home she had to call me and say that my room was not paid and I had to pull off the road and give my credit card information again. I wrote corporate about all this and never got a reply whatsoever. They did not offer even an apology. Go to Columbia aor Red Bud if you must stay, but avoid this like the plague. There was absolutely no concern for the customer except from the maintenance man. read more
