The first floor rooms have a known water issue that they don't disclose. Checked in to my room and found the floor spongy! As in I could not even take off my shoes to walk on the floor. Two cans of Damp Rid tucked up by the headboard of the bed. When I brought it to the attention of the attendant, they just said,"there's a water issue" and that's it. the smell was terrible and my allergies really kicked in. Checked out by 6:30 am. read more

got hired and had to take off for a major dentist appointment (because sarah made a schedule without my knowledge so i didn't get a chance to let her know) and got fired via online ... very unprofessional they didn't call or message me back what so ever i had to reach out to her on indeed to get an answer... and let me just add on my first day i told emily about my appointments so they had a heads up then told me not to come to work one day due to it being slow then they fired me without telling me ... i would not work here or spend my money here ... the boss puts on a good front because i thought she was nice in our interview but i guess she's just another evil boss in the hotel industry. i will be reporting this asap read more

This is a super Super 8! This is the nicest and one of the biggest Super 8 I have ever seen. They had cheese, sausage and crackers plus beer and wine for guest - they told me Wednesday's only. They also have a pool and a great gym for a hotel with a multi functional cable weight machine. Plus they have a breakfast in the morning. Very nice hot Updated 5 stars to 3 stars review due to WiFi difficulties and the remote not working. Plus TV stopping periodically to show No Signal. Very frustrating. read more

I wanted to love this place. I stayed here for 2 days. First appearance walking inside was cute, very country like w bears and things of that nature. Lobby was small but cute. Lady at front desk was nice. Got placed in room and as the evening went on I noticed the air wasn't working right. Kept shutting off and got very stuffy quickly.Was a bit late so I just tried to grin and bare it for the evening until very early in the morning (I couldn't sleep a wink bc It was stuffy) so next morning I went down to the desk and told them, maintenance man took a look and tried to get it goin again (it seemed to start cooling) thank god.. Thennnnn when I returned for the evening, around 11 pm it stopped completely. Ok so now I needed to call downstairs bc this was now Night number 2 of me not being able to sleep. (I will post my bill once I get it) I asked her if it was possible to send someone up, to maybe tweak it real quick- just to get me through the next few hours so I could pleaseeeee sleep and she stated They had no maintenance at that hour but would put me in another room. I didn't wanna have to go through packing up all my things and going to another room so late just for a few more hours so I just asked for a box fan. I give the majority of places i review great ratings but I just couldn't here. Paying $160 a night w zero sleep and no working air is ridiculous to me. I will do a part 2 to this once I receive my bill. I should have taken it upon myself on the first night to have them put me in a different room. Everyone does business differently (I have been in business my whole life). I truly wanted to love this place. However I do give the evening girls working here great reviews, they were very nice. read more

I'm not quite sure where to start on this review. This hotel and staff COULDN'T have been any better. We blocked rooms at this location for my daughter/SIL's wedding in the area. The front desk (Sarah and Mamie) worked with us to make this happen. They allowed some guests to check in early, kept the pool opened extra time for our wedding party and then found something very very special (that we left behind) after we checked out and called us. Just glad I did not have a deliverance-like experience here. My son used the hide a bed in the couch in our "suite". We opened it up and found what appeared to be cheezit cracker crumbs and other unidentifiable stuff that does not belong in your bed, all over the badly stained mattress. Just what you want to see after a long day of driving around Missery. Sorry, Missouri. This place is owned by a Missouri family who apparently are absentee owners, as the help aint gettin it done. The free CD movie rental was a nice touch, but the TV was an ancient piece of crap. Just hope we didn't drag home any uninvited guests in our luggage. "Super" is a stretch for this place, maybe leave off the super and just call it The Ocho in Troy. Unfortunately it's the best option within many many miles. read more

If I could zero star I would. My suite bathtub had someone else's semen and hair in it and all's they could do was switch rooms and offer a 60$ discount. They still tried to keep the upcharge of a suite after we were moved to a double too went for romance and fun left so grossed out I actually left things there. Contacted corporate who clearly doesn't give a shit. In an era of covid this was even worse then it would be any other time. Five stars for delivering exactly what we needed! Clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient, everything I did not expect to find on our last night's stay of our 14 day vacation. We pushed to get beyond St. Louis, and he kept promising that we would find just what we needed, while she fretted and Yelped, not seeing much that offered comfort in that area. And he delivered! The Super 8 in Troy, Missouri, is a hotel we will definitely put in our bookmarks, for future reference. If you are reading this from the road, or when making travel plans, you will not be unhappy with this choice. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, hot water in a clean bathroom with great water pressure. Comfortable king bed (another unexpected pleasure), and a fridge and micro, though we arrived so late at night that this was not necessary. We stayed here a few weeks ago and found the hotel to be TOP NOTCH. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, pool was awesome, and every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful, too. I didn't give it 5 stars because the breakfast was lacking. We got hungry too soon mid-morning each day. Some meat, peanut butter, and bagels would've been nice. read more
