We were told there was no maintenance available until the following day at noon, so the shower ran all night (thankfully at a light flow). The next morning, management still didn't seem concerned and even told us to just leave it running when we checked out. I expect at least a basic level of hospitality. I don't know how I missed that when booking but that was a big turn off. The sidewalk was missing big pieces in several places which made for unsteady walking. Our room was on the second floor. The lady at the desk offered to do it, but she was older and I'm not sure she would have been physically able to do that. The only vending machine at the place was out of order and the only ice machine was back down those stairs. Again. The outside pool was small but conveniently located. After taking a look outside and worrying a bit, we were more than surprised that inside the room was updated, modern and very clean. The furnishings were tasteful. There were still plenty of things to update (many small holes in the bathroom wall, old trim that hadn't been painted, etc...) but we enjoyed a great sleep on comfortable beds with the AC roaring.
